I like the sound of your Advent calendars Enfys Does OH have to keep his in the fridge?
DD2 bought me a Reeces one. OH and I usually share one. She hates Reeces, so I bought her a Cadbury's Dairy milk one

Nana, no branches of Bon Marche have closed as far as I know, and they are certainly selling online still as I have several emails from them each week

*Having said that, there are none of the jeans I usually get in my size and leg length available online now

Enfys - I'm so glad you had a lovely time with your DD yesterday. A cheese Advent calendar sounds wonderful. I'm sure your Galaxy one will be nice, too. Well done to your DH for finishing his clock - I look forward to seeing a photo.

Nana - it must be the season for new bras with both you and WG buying them. I'm a great fan of Land's End and they hem some of their trousers to order so you can choose the exact length you want. That quilt is definitely a labour of love, but I'm sure it will be beautiful and full of memories.

I have done a lot of on-line shopping for presents this year. My GC are so much older than yours and I admit I do ask them for ideas. My eldest GD has a Michael Sabo charm bracelet and is always happy to get another charm. I try to make my DD's present a surprise, my sil is always happy with a jumper (I don't know what he does with them) I always keep the receipts and the returning parcel just in case. I just have a JL voucher to get for my eldest GS and his wife and one for the baby. I have yet to get anything for DS's family.

Weather a bit quieter today, dull but no wind. Feeling very sorry for those folk who are suffering the floods. My parents were flooded many years ago, my sister had to get a boat to rescue them, Mum, Dad, Auntie the dog and a budgie.

Will be nice to have Qwerty posting again, quite an adventure they are having.

I envy you your comfortable bra WG, did you have a fitting?

Clover, I go to a little lingerie shop where I've been going for years. The 'girls' can tell by looking at you what size of bra you need and you don't leave until they're satisfied it's the best fit! They are not the cheapest around, but as it's not an everyday purchase I don't mind paying out. Now I can get rid of a couple of tasteful grey bras and knickers!!!

Need to do a bit of shopping this morning. Am going through a phase of not being interested in food, so not easy when you're trying to think of meal ideas.

Heard the pitter patter of rain in the night but dry at the moment and the sky isn't the leaden grey it was yesterday. Haven't venture out so don't know how cold it is yet.

Qwerty, lovely to hear from you and I'm looking forward to seeing you in December!

M&S were trying to sell their Advent Calendars when I was in there the other day. I resisted!

Hope everyone has a good day and it stays dry !xx

Sorry I missed some posts whilst I was writing mine. Thanks Gem 're Bon Marche. I just presumed they'd stopped selling. I'll look later. I'll take a look at Land's End too Daisy. Thanks. Enfys I've never heard of/seen a cheese calender. I hope he enjoys it. 'Re presents for older children... my 8yr old GS just wants some sort of games tokens for new games on his X Box. Will have to ask his Mummy on that one..... confused.com. 🤣

Oma, I was told to exercise my knee, but the full round is hard on it, hence OH doing the majority. I now drive to and from the delivery area which takes a good 10 minutes off the walk.
I will stop if it gets too bad, but there are only 2 short streets for me to do

Oma. The quilt is certainly a labour of love❣ Thanks for info' on Bon Marche. 'Beautiful Life' is up there on my list of Christmas films. I have a list with half a dozen films or so that I must watch in the run up to Christmas. 🎅

It’s a wonderful life is one of my all time favourite films. A couple of years ago I bought a new dvd and they had made the film into colour, it’s wonderful but I still like the black and white version. I must watch it again soon, thanks for reminding me of it.

                        Good morning all.
A quiet day for me but not for OH as he is busy in the shed sorting out the pots that won’t be needed till next spring. I told him to get Rudolph ( wooden patio Christmas ornament) from the back of the shed and put him in the front for next month when he comes out for the festive season.

Oma can’t believe this is the first time you have seen Wonderful Life . I make sure I watch it sometime during December.
I have had lots of emails from Bon Marche but I don’t know if the shop is closing down. I will look on Wednesday when I will be in town.

WeeGranny it’s hard to think of something to buy for meals when you haven’t any interest in food at the moment. Sometimes I can’t think of anything beyond a Roast or salad ! Ladies we need inspiration!

Must go I can hear the washing machine calling me ,it will bleep continuously until I go and open the door.

                        Have a good day everyone

                              A labour of love Nana.

I have just ordered some knickers from M&S. Meeting GD1 later when she finishes work to go to JL to find something for her to wear to the Waitrose Christmas Party tomorrow, she has left it a bit late, wish us luck.

Looking forward to see the finished clock Enfys.

Just got back from a craft show and managed to find a few presents, very pleased with one for Dil.
