    Morning ladies ,

Lizzie yes we have solid wood work tops that have to be sanded and oiled every few month , they look nice but are a lot of work maintaining them , plus the oil gives me a headache .

Good to hear your feeling better .

Plant its surprising what you find in the loft hope GD finds what she wants for her birthday gift .

Mimi lever taps are so much better when you have arthritic hands .

Gem sounds a adventure at the cinema but the seats did look comfy

Nanto hope the ironing wasn't too much of a pile x

Been to our shopping centre this morning needed to deposit some money in the bank
Bumped into my friend who came back from Rome yesterday while she was there she had her new Michael kors bag stolen with her phone glasses and purse in , luckily her passport wasn't in , said reported to the police but they were not bothered said it happens dozens of times a day so don't have time to investigate every robbery
They were in a Café she went to toilet telling her husband to look after it came back and it was gone he hadn't even noticed .

Back from the dentist, mouth all numb!

Oma I worried about my bag being snatched in Rome as I had been warned about it. I wore a shoulder bag across my body, as I do in all big cities.

The only thing that has happened to me was my phone being stolen from my backpack in Chicago. Boarding the subway train with wheeled case and backpack. I sat and put my backpack on my knee and a lady said Do you know your bag is open? Only my phone was in the small section so luckily that was all they got. Not a good welcome to Chicago as that was my first visit!

Oma, I don't sand it as often as that!! Got is sanded and oiled, the oil I have doesn't smell at all. Oh dear, your poor friend, that must have spoilt her holiday! It happens everywhere, sad really that nothing is safe!

Just got in from cycling to the library in Delft, 30% chance up a shower was forecast, well, it was more than a shower!! I was soaked! Got membership again, have to pay here for the library, I don't mind though as I love my books! Delft has a much better selection than here in the village. Going to warm myself up now!

Not a nice feeling having your bag stolen. My Mum used to work in the library and as usual had left her bag in the office. When she was finished, her bag was nowhere to be seen. The worst bit was she had Dad's wages in it, so that was a lean week. The bag was found several days later stuffed behind the cistern in the Gents' Toilets..empty of course. The office door was locked after that, but it was right next to the desk where they took the books in/out.

We were on holiday in Spain one year in a villa. OH lost all his cards so we spent the morning at the police station. We got back and went through the what were you wearing etc etc. It turns out they were in the pocket of a shirt which I'd put in the wash. When you looked in the machine you could see the cards in between the drum and whatever was behind it! No way could we get them out, so they might still be spinning around!

Got signed off from back man today. Doesn't anticipate any further problems so that's a happy ending. Feel so much better after the injection. I didn't realise just how much it was affecting my everyday life.

Hope everyone has a good evening. x

Oma, the ironing pile wasn't too big.
How awful for your friend to have her bag stolen.

WeeGranny, pleased you got a happy ending from your back problems.

I don't know why I bother to plan things! Just lately they always seem to get changed.

The bank appointment went ok thank you, ladies. I decided to ignore the fact that the member of staff addressed all his remarks to OH even though the account is mine, and the rather condescending way he asked if I used email and had a mobile!! And yes, I do know my own mobile number, thank you!! The main thing is now it's done.

Immediately after lunch the sun was shining and I thought I'd do a few odd jobs in the garden. Within half an hour it started to rain, so I didn't get much done. But at least I could get on with swapping both our computers on to the new router. Fortunately I had a quick look on here first - just as we had a power cut!

So, on to Plan C - sitting in candlelight reading my Kindle book. Thank heaven for Paper white! The power came back on about 5 ish, and then went off again for another half hour or so. Thankfully it's stayed on since then.

Mimi - it's as well to get hair appointments booked in advance. I always book up for the next time when I go.

Plant - thank you for asking. GD1 is feeling much better, but her teeth will take longer to sort out I think. But after half-term the class had a move round and she is sitting next to a lovely lad who she really likes. They both enjoy Maths so like working together. Your loft sounds like a treasure trove.

Lizzie - I'm pleased you're feeling better. I bet your worktops look lovely when you've sanded and oiled them. We've got just a small wooden worktop in the utility room and last time OH did it he didn't put enough oil on it and immediately marks started to show again. As it's where I prepare dog food I like to give it a good scrub, so it looks shabby very quickly. I wouldn't choose wood again.

Gem, glad to hear you enjoyed 42nd Street and the comfy seats.

Oma - your poor friend. I bet she was devastated to lose her lovely bag and the contents. Thank goodness her passport wasn't in there.

Nanto - a small ironing pile? How does that happen?

WeeGranny - it's wonderful that the back man has declared you fit and well. As you say, you don't realise when you're in constant pain until it stops. I'm so pleased for you. xx

I had my bag stolen years ago from the village hall where I helped to run the playgroup. The awful thing it must have been one of the mums whose child we looked after! We were incredibly hard up at the time and I'd got about £10 in there - an absolute fortune for us. The bag was later found, empty, in a bin behind the pub.

It’s raining hard here again, several roads are already becoming flooded again and there is snow on the Black mountains. In some parts of Wales snow is falling.
I hope those who have started to clear up from the last lot of bad weather don’t get flooded out again.

                Good night ladies

As if they haven't had enough.

Daisy, at least you got the banking sorted,so thats one thing less to worry about.

                    Good morning Nan2 and ladies.

Lovely cardinal on the graphic Nan2, my OH loves those
The rain and floods are certainly awful, you really feel for those poor people affected by them.
WG, good news about the back!

A usual Thursday for me. Doing my mum's shopping, visiting her and doing a few things for her. A friend is coming to eat with us after work, so I will get the meal organised this morning.
My tooth and jaw were very sore yesterday when the injection wore off, but all fine now! It was a big filling which needed replacing so I am glad to have got it done with.

                    Have a good day everyone.

Good morning ladies. Nanto - just the right graphic for people in need of cheering up because of the wet weather.

It's bright and sunny here at the moment, but rain is forecast for later.

Gem - glad the tooth is ok now. It's good to have it over and done with. I hope your mum's ok. How is she getting on with her new gas fire?

Plant - enjoy your Aqua class and lunch.

Nanto - the awful thing was everyone was pointing their fingers at a very young single mum, and I honestly don't think it was her, but she ended up as upset as me. It was a tiny village and everybody knew everybody else. It was horrible.

I have made a plan for today! I'm going to be a Domestic Goddess par excellence. By the end of today our house will be sparkling clean and very tidy. Ok, I need Plan B ...... I'll wave the yellow fluffy thing over the furniture and push the sucky up thing round the floor!

Good morning. Dull and cold here but dry.

Oma, we’re OK. I’ve had a bad week but not too bad now, P is his usual self, I don’t know how he does it.

We are popping out shortly to get some more bird food etc and are going to have lunch out as well.

glad the tooth is ok now Gem.

Has anyone heard from Qwerty? I was wondering about her and if they are due back soon. They won’t want to leave the sunshine 🌞

                            Have a good day everyone

Not a word from Qwerty Enfys, I'm sure we will hear from her soon. She's probably steeling herself for the winter weather! I'm not sure whether she will be joining us Northern ladies next month.
I hope you enjoyed aqua Plant. I bet you were ready for lunch with your friends afterwards.
