Mum and I had a nice chat this afternoon, and not too much dwelling on her dreaded blood pressure check on Wednesday. I tidied up a bit in her front garden and gave the bathroom a quick blitz.
We are having pork chops for tea. The friends we were with last night are having Sunday lunch with mutual friends who live at the end of our road. It was meant to be last Sunday, when we were also invited but neither OH nor I could go. We found at last night that it was cancelled last week, rescheduled for today and they didn't bother to invite us!! We could have gone so are miffed especially as we entertain them enough, including New Years Eve. So s*d 'em, we are having our own version of a Sunday roast here!

Hi, I'm back. Done my computer and phone. Now off to try and do OH's computer and I think the tv has to be changed as well!

Gem - how odd your friends not including you. Are you going to say anything? I think I would in a roundabout way just to find out if there was a particular reason. Still, I'm sure you both enjoyed relaxing at home and having delicious pork chops.

Enfys - I'm so glad P is feeling better and wanting to do things.

Avo - welcome back to chilly Britain. It must come as quite a shock after Portugal.

OH has an eye injection today so we're off to the hospital soon. I should be back in time to collect the girls after school - OH usually just wants to doze in the chair after an injection so if he's ok he doesn't mind being left for a few hours. Eva is feeling her age this morning after a very strenuous hour in the paddock with Cooper yesterday. Haha - I know how she feels.

Daisy, I hope OH doesn't suffer too much with the injection, I know they are no fun for him.
We enjoyed our pork chops meal with a nice glass of Merlot last night, all on our own
I am wondering if it is because we haven't been to meet the puppy? He's a Labrador and they have had him a while now. I have nothing against dogs, I like dogs I know, but no desire to go and meet one as I would a kitten or human baby I did say I was waiting until he passed the biting stage! However, we had to decline the original lunch invite because we were busy, not because we didn't want to see the dog who I'm sure I would like if I met him! I'm just wondering if they have taken offence in some way! Mind you, they almost never invite friends round, they are not big on socialising. Apart from NYE they are now off our our Friends Round list.

I have a few things to do today which I will try to get done this morning then have nice relaxing afternoon. OH will be on the golf course all day. Tonight we are eating at The Ivy. We were given a voucher for Christmas last year which runs out soon, so we decided to go tonight.

Did a little ironing this morning only 4 blouses and 2 t-shirts I run through the washer last night ,

Dog is asleep in the garden he's in a huff I put some chicken in the oven this morning and some rice on for his lunch , he can smell it , he's not happy he cant get it yet

B off for a Hospital visit just routine .

Think I might write some Christmas card's out this morning or I might not see how I feel

A lazy start is a good idea Nana, especially on cold mornings!


I am in Costa Coffee. We use their free meeting rooms for our Friends Group meetings. I couldn't book a date for January at the last meeting as they didn't have the 2020 diary. I came to check today and they have it now. I have booked three dates, one of which I will cancel when I find out from the others which of the later two is best.
I can't just ask for the diary and not buy anything, so I'm enjoying a lovely hot chocolate made with coconut milk 😊 Off to PetsatHome next, so catch you later!

Hairdresser came today,to cut hubby's hair.
He didn't need it doing last she came and cut mine.

Oma - Thank you for J's hug - he really enjoyed it. (He's still got a twinkle in his 'good' eye!!

We always try to go early for J's hospital appointments and there's only one time we haven't been seen earlier. Today was no exception, despite a very slow and busy journey to the hospital. He was called straight in and the nurse commented that they were actually waiting for patients to arrive. We were on our way back home 10 minutes before his appointment was due. So he's had a nice long day to relax and doze, which seems to help. The next appointment in December will be a long one - eye tests, scan, consultant and finally the dreaded injection. I think we should take sandwiches!!

After lunch I went and collect Cooper from the shop and took him back to their house and then DS2 dropped GD2 off when she finished school. She was telling me that she's an Innkeeper in the nativity play and no words to learn. I think she probably uses enough words in class, she's such a chatterbox.

Nanto - it must be rather nice having your hairdresser come to your house. I really don't enjoy going out to the hairdressers and it's always wet and or windy when I come out!

Gem - that was a good excus.... errr, I mean reason (!) for having a hot chocolate, although I don't fancy coconut milk in it. Glad you've managed to get your library committee dates arranged. How strange if your friends have taken the huff because you haven't seen the puppy!


Plant - how was bowls this afternoon? Glad DD and SIL got back from Bordeaux safely.

Nana - we all need a lazy day sometimes, and I certainly think you're due for one.

I'm off for an early night. It's already freezing and I think defrosting the car will take a while first thing in the morning. I hate these cold, dark mornings when I've got to go out so early.

Minus 2 where I am, but after today it's due to be milder.
We had a very nice if pricey meal at The Ivy last night. As we had a voucher it didn't cost us as much as it could have!

It's good when you are leaving the hospital not long after the appointment time Daisy, like skipping school 😁

GS 1 from school today, and coming back here, so no drive home in the dark this week 😊
I have a few things to do today but all from home, so I can keep nice and warm. Golf competition for OH today,with meal, so I will eat with GS.

A big day for my BIL as he is due to have the plaster off his broken ankle. He has been in hospital for six weeks while it hopefully healed as he is not mobile enough to have managed at home. If today goes well he will have a boot fitted and after a short while more for physio etc.he will be able to go home. The OT has arranged a hospital bed for him to be put downstairs for him. It’s going to be hard going for my sister.

Off to work now and Tesco delivery this afternoon . Apart from these a usual sort of day I hope.
