Take some painkillers if you haven't already Plant. It should be fine in the morning.

Plant - I'm glad the crown is now in place. I hope the soreness soon wears off.

Nana - It would be a pity to part with your lovely roll top bath. Do you just need something like a grab handle to steady yourself, or one of those sturdy steps with a built in handle to make you feel safe?

Gem - when the weather's that bad you're better off in your own cosy home, but I hope you enjoyed your night away.

I keep trying to work out how I could get myself out of the bath, I can get in. I can get onto my knees but that's as far as I can get, I am unable to then get up onto my feet. The last time I tried, I took the phone in with me and had to call my DD. I am quite happy to shower but sometimes a bath would be nice.

We had to have our bath taken out and a wet room put in because B could no longer get in the bath even to use the over bath shower ,
We tried the step ladder approach and my DD went ballistic when she found out , Its her job to put care packages and adaptions in for the Disabled and elderly and she pointed out how dangerous this was and got quite angry that we were doing this , We even tried the bath slider that he would sit on and it lowered him into the bath but he couldn't lie down so that didn't work either

I always used the shower but now we don't have a bath I miss it , especially when I have been working hard and my bones ache all I want to do is have a nice soak ,

I do hope the pain has eased Plant,

Nana, I was away with the girls a few years ago, they both had a bath and I thought I would, only thing was it was one of those with a narrowing in the middle, problem with shoulders at the time and it was hell getting out of it, the girls have never forgotten, thought they would have to phone the fire brigade to get nan out of the bath!

I had a hectic week last week, massive leak in my garage, there are 5 apartments above my garage and when they used their washing machines, all the water pumped into my garage!!! It had been doing this for a few days before I saw it, I must say it was all sorted out and repaired, amazing how they found the leak, went up the pipe with a video camera attached to a wire and they soon saw where it was.
My neighbours were very good and didn't use their washers etc until it was repaired, the break was on the second floor and the man on the first floor has damage to his ceiling, I was talking to him yesterday, he is 96 years old, they had been to see him and it is being repaired, he couldn't see it himself as his eyesight isn't good at all.

I may go to Rotterdam later, thought about going to a shopping centre on the bike but showers forecast, we have been lucky upto now, sunny the last few days, I was busy at the weekend making photo albums on line for the GD's, I make them both one every year, I haven't had GD1 here as often so not as many photo's, luckily DS1 supplies them for me.

DIL phoned the other day to invite me to go there for Dec 5th, with the girls getting older they won't be doing as much as they usually do but according to GD2 it won't be Dec 5th without the party! They are both busy making the surprises for school.

As for Christmas, not my thing!

Morning all another wet day here so far .

I didn’t report for duty yesterday as I was completely floored by cystitis. I’ve had this several times before but yesterday was the worst I have ever experienced. OH wanted me to phone our Drs but I said it will be a miracle if they answer the phone let alone have any free appointments . So he went to the chemist to get me some powders to drink with the promise that I would ring drs if no better in two days . Thankfully I am feeling a lot better this morning.

Plant I haven’t had a bath in over 6 years now as I cannot get out with out a great deal of a struggle and OH slipped last time he had a bath so it’s showing for us from now on . My family know that I no longer use the bath but it doesn’t stop them from buying me bubble bath, bath bombs etc. Bubble bath type products aren’t really suitable for a shower so I have a lot of bottles of them in my bathroom cupboard.
I did rather foolishly put a drop of some in my foot spa, that was a big mistake as I had bubbles all over the floor..... On the plus side I did have a nice clean, lovely smelling floor !
How is the pain this morning Plant ?

Lizzie has the leak caused much damage?

Nan2 I notice that you have planned your dinner early today, well not to be outdone I took two lamb steaks out of the freezer earlier this morning . They can defrost while I think about how we are going to have them , make a hot pot or grill and have with veg and gravy ?

                      Have a good day ladies
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Mimi, poor you with your cystitis, I suffer from chronic cystitis, not nice, waiting for lab results at the moment, it can be VERY painful, they say, drink a lot, take cranberry etc, which I do, but, still get it. The leak didn't cause much damage, luckily, a bit damp but it is drying out now.

                          Good morning everyone.
Lots of morning posters already 😊

Nan2, my mum loves tomato sausage, but insists it's vegetarian!
Plant, Oma and Mimi, I mostly have showers but would miss a bath if we didn't have one. Safety is by far the most important thing though!
That sounds a major leak Lizzie! I know December 5th is important there, lovely to be invited to family.
Ona, we just missed each other in Harrogate!!
Oh poor Mimi. Keep drinking plenty of water today and hopefully it will continue to be OK. Once when I did need antibiotics for it the Dr just phoned me back then issued the prescription.

GS1 from school today. Before that I am going to see a friend and her mum for a cuppa and catch up.
Golf for OH. A grey drizzly day for it.

I hope everyone's day goes well.

Good morning. Raining again here, and very dull too. Supermarket for us this morning.

Still suffering with stiff neck so I have decided the knitting must stop for now. The things I like to do to relax all involve sitting still with my head in one position....knitting, crochet, reading etc. So I don’t think that’s helping, I am going to try and keep moving more today to see if that helps...feel like an old woman .....oh hang on, that’s what I am 😱.

We got rid of our bath about three years ago and now have a big walk in shower. I had real difficulty getting out of the bath with my dodgy knees so had used the over bath shower for ages but when DH started having problems too we decided to get rid of it. I still miss a lovely bubble bath with a book and a glass of wine but couldn’t risk it.

Mimi, hope you feel better today, cystitis is horrible, so painful. Have a good day everyone ☔️

Aww, hugs to the Grans feeling poorly & off colour. Another dark & dank day here. Off to Sheffield dental physio after lunch. Think I might try to start my fight again today .... quilt in the red corner & me in the blue corner. Let the battle begin! The quilt is winning at the moment. Right gloves on.🥊🥊
