Well I was bright and breezy this morning because I wanted to get my shopping done early as I had a course this afternoon. That was until I discovered my bank card wasn't where it was supposed to be. Frantic search, but no joy! Phoned bank to stop it and managed to fail the security questions! How long have you been with the bank? At least 30 years. Sorry, I need to know the month and the year! So, instead of shopping I had to go into town and present myself and photographic ID at the bank. Luckily the assistant was very nice and understanding and got it all sorted for me and I should get a new card in the post. She said, there's usually a trick security question like How much cash do you withdraw in a month? Felt so stupid and angry with myself and now I have to do my shopping on a Saturday morning which is marginally better than doing it on Sunday!
Has started raining again.........will it ever stop ?
Bought a Spaghetti Carbonara in M&S while I was in town so I don't have to cook tonight.
Enjoy your evening ladies xBelieve you can and you're halfway there.

Sorry about you losing your card WG.
I once thought i had i lost mine, but it was in my coat pocket.
Don't know why, because i always put it straight back in my purse.
You will have obviously checked your pockets.Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

WeeGranny - what a nuisance losing your card. I have no idea how much cash we draw out in a month, and it depends what we're doing anyway! I don't think most of us would know when we first joined the bank we're with. I only know because it was when we got married and as OH worked in a bank I moved my account there! But these days I don't even know which branch our account is held at. The carbonara sounds yummy. Did you enjoy it?
I've had a fairly lazy day once the washing up was done. A bit of much needed weeding in the greenhouse so we could move our banana and canna plants in there. they were lucky to escape last night's frost. We put up a new bird table and it's already being visited.
Gem - sorry if I've missed it - how did your appointment about your knee go?

Just checking in so you know I'm still alive!
All ok at the hospital, I'll update about it tomorrow.
A nice afternoon with GS2, then GD after school.
This virus is still hanging on and I feel rough on and off. I have a quiet weekend ahead so hopefully I will shake it off.
I will catch up with anything I have missed tomorrow.
Good night all!

Morning Nan2. Nice graphic. I've not been out yet but it looks like Jack Frost's been. Thanks for the link Daisy ...just beautiful. The flower looks like an exotic iris. I'll look on that site too. Looks good. Gem, hope you've slept well.
Not sure what today will bring. Could be a journey home or another day here? My sister & OH landed at Heathrow early this morning from Miami. Bet they'll feel the cold.β"Good friends help you to find important things when you have lost them....your smile, your hope, and your courage."

Good morning all
I like the graphic Nan2.
WG I have 'lost' my card, then found it in pockets and once just loose in my car where I obviously put it after buying petrol then forgot about it. π²
A shock for your sister indeed Nana. I keep thinking Qwerty should get herself back before it gets any colder and the shock greater!
Lizzie, I'm glad you are starting to feel better. Having a holiday booked is an excellent thing.
A frosty morning here in Gemini Grove!
No plans today. I think OH would like to visit the lady who looked after Andrew the hedgehog, and take a donation. This lady is overrun with hogs to care for, returning them to the wild when possible, and some weaker ones to volunteers to overwinter. She has school age children, I have no idea how she manages. Donations of cash, food, heating pads, syringes etc are most welcome.
I'll make a thread about my knee, as things get lost in the day to day chit chat on here!
Have a good day everyone. Keep warm πβA grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.β β Unknown

Morning all
Pouring with rain here which is a pity as DS has come over for the weekend to help me load the skip which came yesterday. Weβll have to do it regardless as itβs the only time DS can come for a long time. The skip man had to damage a small laburnum tree by the gate to drop the skip in. I was expecting it so not really upset. It may recover.
I must go and get a paper for OH before work begins so Iβll try and come back later.
Hope everyone is well as can be and has a good day.

Good morning. Cold and frosty here.
We had a lovely lunch out yesterday, great food, good company, a very pleasant way to spend a few hours. However, when we got home I suddenly felt awful. Really tired and generally out of sorts. I think the events of the day before had caught up with me and I spent the remainder of the day on the sofa, dozing on and off. Luckily I slept well but I think we are going to have an easy day at home, w donβt t have to go anywhere, P wants to get on with his clock making so I will tidy up a bit this morning but this afternoon Iβll put on my Downton Abbey dvd, do my knitting and relax. Need to recharge my batteries I think.
Hope you all have a good day, stay warm everyone. Saw on the news yesterday all the awful floods in the north, hope you northern ladies are all ok.

Enfys, yes take it easy today. The stresses of situations like yours just build up. We cope and carry on, then it hits. I'm glad you had the nice lunch at least . Your plan for today is ideal, I hope those batteries recharge.
