      Good morning all.

cold but dry and dull here. I am out with DD today, lunch out and shopping, just what I need 🙂.

So sorry to hear about LGs DD, that poor girl has been through so much already.

We have the Macmillan nurse popping in to see us next week. It makes everything seem so final somehow, but I hope she will put my mind at rest about support etc for DH. I will make a list of questions to ask her.

Have a good day everyone, stay warm 🙂

        Good morning all.
OH woke me early this morning asking “Can you hear that “?
Straining my ears to hear I said “No, what am I supposed to be listening to “
        “ Can’t you hear , it’s not raining “
I won’t repeat what I said to him , it was just after 4.30 this morning for goodness sake ! Stupid man !

Oma , when you speak to LG again can you pass on my best wishes, it’s one thing after another regarding her DD .

Oh , where are my manners, better bow to our domestic goddess Daisy we are not worthy 😉

Is it just me or does anyone else start buying extra Christmas items in their grocery shopping ?
I’ve just made room in the one kitchen cupboard for Christmas puds and chocolate biscuits that are due to arrive with my Tesco delivery today. I tend to by items that are on offer .
        Have a good day everyone
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Looking wet here but not raining atm. I slept late as I was awake a bit in the night, didn't really want to get up. Food shopping for me, not sure which Waitrose I will go to
My DD and her OH are on their way to Bordeaux to watch Wasps Rugby team play. They are going all the way by bus from the village early this morning to the station to catch a train to London. Then onto St. Pancras station to catch Euro train to Paris, change at Paris for a train to Bordeaux. His brother and his wife are flying. They thought it might be fun to go all the way by public transport. I hope they are right.

Enfys, I don't really know what to say, you are both being very brave.

Have some lovely Me time Oma.

Just read back to previous comments and was very sad to hear Libra's DD is in hospital again, what a lot she is having to put up with.

Gem - I'm sure GS will enjoy the school run. I hope S does well in the competition. Glad you like my crown, although it might be a bit like Cinderella's glad rags and disappear at midnight, before poor Mimi's knees start aching with bowing down!

Enfys - lunch with your DD is exactly what you need. I hope you've managed to keep warm though - that's a chilly wind today. You're doing very well, and knowing what sort of support is available will make a big difference. Sending hugs. xx

Mimi - We usually go and do one big shop in December using up all our Nectar points. It's a job to keep OH from making heavy investments in tins of Quality Street though!

Oh well, back to the yellow fluffy thing!!

Oma, thanks for updating us on LG. Someone must be able to find out what exactly is wrong with her DD and get her on the road to full recovery. Such a worrying time for the whole family. Please give her my love the next time you speak to her.

Been and treated myself to some bras which fit me!! Feel and look like a new woman ! OH got some new jeans and sweater and we had lunch out. So, all in all a successful morning.

Have had a look at the river and it's nowhere near the tops of the banks, so I don't know where the flood warning came from! GP will be open for appointments on Monday, but I expect we'll have to wait to find out why it was closed.

No rain so far today, but it is a bitterly cold wind blowing. Keep warm everyone. x

Ola ladies of gransrus , I’m sorry I havnt had much contact for a while, I have had some texts from Gem but Oma I don’t why but not received anything from you , strange . It’s 5 .30 here we are an hour in front of you, it’s between 17/19 deg now a bit chilly out of the sun but the sun is still shining all day , I see it’s downright freezing where you all are 🥶
We have booked flights home for the 30th November , lots of cafes have closed for the winter not as much tourism here in the winter.
Ive done quiet a bit of Xmas shopping here in Spain so leaving some summer clothes here to make room for presents, well I’m certainly not going to need them for a while in the uk, I think I’m in for a shock when I get back
Enfys my friend sorry to hear your news , what can I say except let’s hope you have lots more time together yet, difficult to write something as final as this .
Ive been a tad unwell will tell more when I know myself what’s going on, OH is up and down but he’s ok physically , lots of you have health problems and Oma is a walking disaster 🤕
I will be coming home to lots of cobwebs lol but i will soon get back into the rhythm of life in UK ,bye for now folk keep up the striking work you do on here

Qwerty - it's wonderful to hear from you, and I'm excited that you're coming home soon. We really, really do miss you!!!! You'll definitely need your thermal long johns, though.

WeeGranny - I feel the same about Libra's DD - somebody, somewhere must be able to get to the bottom of her health problems. It's heartbreaking to see her suffering from one problem after another. More cheerfully - thank goodness you're not about to be flooded out. It will be very interesting to hear why your GP's surgery closed like that.

Will have a look to see if we can get some Christmas presents.
They do nice meals,so we will have dinner there.

                        Morning Nanto and followers.

Yes lovely to hear from Qwerty. She’ll certainly notice a change in temperature when she returns at the end of the month.

It’s sad to hear Libra’s DD is in hospital again. When on earth will they find something to help her.

WG I wish I could find a good bra.I always think I’ve found one but there’s always something I’m not 100 % happy with.

Nanto I envy you going to a garden centre. Due to our circumstances now it’s impossible to get to one. They certainly “do” Christmas in a big way.

Talking of Christmas presents I haven’t a clue what to get. I used to give the GC a sack full of small things but now we have to travel by coach space is limited. Also it’s hard to get things for teenagers. To be honest I don’t have much enthusiasm for the whole Christmas thing apart from seeing family.

Yesterday my neighbour was having the moss cleared off his roof so when the man asked if I wanted mine done I agreed. There certainly was a lot. They cleared up most of the obvious moss from the ground but inevitably some has fallen on the borders and pots which I will have to sort out.

I hope everyone has a happy Saturday.

                          Good Saturday morning to all.

A meal out when shopping is a lovely idea Nan2. We often do if we end up shopping on a Saturday.
Good to hear from Qwerty, and that some of us will be seeing her in December. Thermals on for sure!
Clover, it's hard to buy for teenagers, and having to carry it all on public transport makes it harder.
Hello to everyone else I haven't mentioned

Today we are doing a supermarket shop, tonight we are invited to friends for a takeaway.
I have some leaflets (Election coming up so I feel I must do at least some of the deliveries, but have opted out of a lot) OH did the majority of this one for me on Thursday. I will do the remaining houses either today or tomorrow.

                          Have a good day everyone.

Good morning, Nanto and Clover and all who pop in later. I like the cheeky sun peeping in your graphic, Nanto. We've got hazy sunshine and no frost overnight. I might try and get some jobs done in the garden if it's not too wet. If it is too wet I might do a bit more sorting out - there's still plenty to be done.

Our local large garden centre will be packed today. They even have coach parties going there. OH called in yesterday and got a large sack of sunflower hearts for the bird feeders, but I don't for one minute think he looked at anything else!

Clover - I feel the same about Christmas presents. I haven't a clue what to get our teenagers, and if we end up just giving them money it doesn't feel as though we've put much effort into it - although I'm sure they won't mind. It's easier to buy for the GDs, but even the 9 year old has very firm ideas about what she likes and doesn't like, bless her. The nearly-6 year old likes everything she sees advertised on tv. Well done on getting the moss sorted out. I know lots of moss is good because it means the air is unpolluted, but it can end up causing problems.

                            Have a lovely day, ladies.

Edit: Gem you posted while I was typing. Enjoy your day, but don't do too much walking round with leaflets and make your knee painful again.

                              Good morning all.

A lovely sunny morning here so we have a couple of jobs to do in the garden, then I’m off t knit and natter after lunch. So nice to hear from Qwerty, winter woollies for them both when they come home.

I had a lovely day out with DD yesterday. We caught up on lots of chat, had a delicious lunch and I even managed to get a couple of C........s presents. We don’t have a day out very often so it’s always special when we do. I bought an advent calendar for DH, never usually do that but thought I would this year. So I got him a cheese one! 24 different cheeses, he will enjoy that and a galaxy one for me 😀.

Clover, it is difficult to know what to buy older children these days but luckily DD me a couple of ideas for GS, Youngest in Oz I send money and will do the same for GD this year as she will still be down under! Makes life a bit easier although I do miss wrapping all their little presents.

DH has finished his clock, I will take a photo later, it looks really good.

Have a good day everyone 🌞

Good to see you back on here Qwerty my friend. I wondered how J was... & you of course. Never mind long john's I'd suggest thermal everything for you.🤣 Hope whatever is making you feel off colour passes quickly. Look forward to seeing you in York.

Sorry to hear Libra's daughter is poorly again with something different. It must seem never ending for all concerned. Enfys I'm sure the nurse will be a great comfort to you. Sending 💕

Well I must lead an exciting life too as I bought 2 bras & 2 pks of knickers this week.😉 I will have to make an effort to find trousers. I only have one pr of winter trousers. I miss wearing jeans & now Bon Marche have closed I'm stumped.

Off to iron 200+ quilt pieces now. I must love my GD very much as I avoid using that hissy thing within an inch of my life.😂🤣
