Clover, you have been busy, well done. That is a job we need to do but I think I’ll have to get someone in to do it, unless I can persuade DS to come home and help...not very likely.

i enjoyed my afternoon with Downton Abbey, but have felt out of sorts again, started with the palpitations again, and I haven’t had them for months and months, I still think it’s the reaction to everything so tomorrow I am going out for an early walk, I feel I need the exercise to burn up some of that adrenaline.

P spent ages on his clock......it’s a kit to make a skeleton clock, out of wood. It looks very intricate but he’s enjoying it.

Daisy, you’ve done it now .....talking about Christmas in November 😃. Have a 🎄🤗

Clover - well done to you and your DS on getting so much done today. I thought about you when the rain arrived here, but it was better for you to have dry weather today than us!

Gem - I used a recipe given to me when I was about 14 by an family friend who was a domestic science teacher. I think she was worried that we didn't do any cookery at our school and I might grow up to live off baked beans, so she was always encouraging me to cook and bake. I'm quite sure schools aren't allowed to put brandy in their Christmas cakes these days!! How lovely to sit and watch a lovely film together. It's something OH and I rarely do because we generally don't like the same films. We haven't got Netflix either. I hope you feel better for having a relaxing day. xx

          Good morning everyone.

No frost here either Nan2, it is one degree! (cute doggy btw )
I felt pretty rotten yesterday. I feel better this morning, so hopefully it is now on its way out!
This afternoon I will go and see my mum.
This evening is the get together with my 3DDs to discuss my mum. Originally planned as night out, now we are meeting at DD1's as SIL is away this weekend and not due back until mid evening. I really didn't fancy ending the night with a 40 minute drive home along the dark country roads, so would have preferred to rearrange. DD2 said there isn't another night that she will be free for some time however. I think DD3 is going to drive me. If not I will drive to DD2's (which is on the way to DD1's) go to and from DD1's with her, and stay the night at theirs.

          Happy Sunday all.

Good morning everyone. It's chilly here but not raining. I hope it stays dry for all the Remembrance Day parades.

We're having a slow start this morning - slower than usual, even for us. OH is still fast asleep and I haven't been up long. After my burst of activity baking THOSE cakes yesterday I need to rest in a darkened room for at least a week!

Gem - I'm pleased you're feeling a bit better this morning. Don't overdo it today. Thank goodness you don't have to drive all the way there and back to DD1's tonight.

Oma - well done, B on bleeding all the radiators. We had a frantic phone call from some friends yesterday. He was trying to bleed the radiator in their spare room but the little thingy broke and water was spurting out all over the bedroom. My OH is very practical and is their first port of call when things like this happen, but yesterday I was on the phone having a very long chat with one of my SILs and it was an hour before we picked up the message. Fortunately by then, they'd got a plumber! Have a lovely morning with your friends at their new flat. Have they settled down ok?

Enfys - you're doing the right thing listening to what your body is telling you. You need time to get used the the decision P's made. Take it easy, love, and enjoy a peaceful walk. P's clock sounds lovely and I'm glad he's enjoying making it.

Clover - I hope it's dry today if you've still got some garage sorting to do. Don't overdo it though. xx

Nanto - that lamb fillet sounds delicious! Is it ok if I pop round for dinner?

No firm plans for us today apart from portioning up some dog food and running the sucky up thing round.

I'm having coffee too Nan2 Your meal sounds very nice. DD1 who is cooking for us tonight is vegetarian, so I don't think ours will be quite so nice!
I hope your friends have settled in Oma. As you say, there must be somewhere nice about halfway where you could all meet.

OH is in a golf competition later. It is an invitation match for members who have been volunteers at the club in some way. OH runs the Ladies Roll Up Thursday sessions and organises the Christmas dinner for that, and she helped out with the Halfway House teas a few times, and looked after children when they were here for a competition. There is food after today's play. She is teamed with 2 men she doesn't know.

Gem - good luck to S for the golf competition. After missing so much with her broken wrist at the beginning of the season she deserves some treats and of course, a good win.

                      Morning all. Sunny here too.

Gem I’m glad you’re feeling better and hope you are able to make some useful decisions about your Mum with your DDs .A good plan to stay overnight or else you might be worrying about the drive home all evening.

Oma I always think bleeding the radiators sounds rather gruesome.

                      Nanto that dinner sounds delicious.

More garage tidying up today. Then I can see what drawers ,cabinets etc I can put on on Freecycle. I’ve never used it before so that will be interesting

                      Have a lovely day.

Clover - you are making good progress. We've put quite a lot of things on Freecycle and mostly it's worked very well. We've had one or two people mess us about - saying they're coming to collect something then not turning up, or even getting here and saying they don't want it. One lady came to collect an old red brocade type fabric sofa and then complained it wasn't leather! But most people are lovely and very pleased with things.

Will be out for most of the day, I am going to Brick Lane, London Old Time Music Hall, plus tea. It is another trip with my local NT group. Jack Frost here but luckily no flooding. Those poor families with homes flooded.

I am sure the hedgehog lady will appreciate your donation Gemini.

Nana the roads might be quieter tomorrow for you to return. When does your DD see a medic?

The above post should have gone through yesterday but it didn't.

Today. Had a lovely time at the Old time Music Hall. It was started in Brick Lane but it is now in a converted church in The City, near The City Airport. The NT group have booked another performance near Christmas. The performance was music that was written during the war, very touching at times. Tea was served in the interval, sandwiches and cakes. We had a table very close to the stage. Must get my name down for the next one.

Gemini, I hope the meeting with your DD's goes well. Very wise not to drive back, dark and possible rain.

Clover I am very pleased you had some help clearing your garage, is it nearly done?

Enfys I hope that walk settled your palpitations.

Being so busy the last couple of days I probably have missed some posts.

Good morning all. Thankfully it’s a dry day here so we were able to get our potatoes out of the planter . Just one more planter to empty and then that’s the last of our home grown potatoes.
I’ve been busy this morning, doing what I don’t really know but I haven’t stopped since I got up.
Oh I did find time to throw my saucepans across the kitchen, it wasn’t intentional , I got them from out of the cupboard, I had a stack of three in my hands and I lost my grip and they shot across the kitchen. Two of the glass lids shattered and one sauce pan ended up with a dent in it.
To be fair they are about 15 years + old and I have said for a long time I need some new pans so I have ordered a new set from Amazon.
OH did jokingly suggest I have them as a Christmas present but he made a quick escape outside before I had chance to answer him .

Plant, sounds like you had a lovely time yesterday, what a change, old time music hall . Who remembers The Good Old Days on the BBC many, many years ago ?

Enfys , just a thought, I used to get dreadful palpitations years ago. It was caused by me being anemic. Have you had your blood count checked?

                              Hope everyone is well today

Bring me sunshine in your smile.
