Oma - what a shame. Poor man. I do hope he settles in sooner or later. It must be very hard for him and he deserves a good retirement after his very stressful working life.

Good morning all. I am still in bed at the moment but I can hear the rain hammering down on the windows yet again.
Oma how sad to hear about your friend. We never consider the mental toil it takes on some people with their stressful jobs they do day in day out.
Would he consider doing some sort of voluntary work on line perhaps

Good morning all. Chilly but and bright here for now. Up early again this morning, once I wake at 5.30/6.00 I can’t go back to sleep. So dinner is all prepared, and soon I’m off to the hairdressers. P will pick me up then we are popping to a new Aldi. I want to see what there stuff is like, never shopped there before........the exciting things we do 🙂.

Good morning all.
Enfys, we never used to shop at Aldi, but they have some amazing bargains so we do now. I like that their lamb is British so none Halal, and their pork is free range.
Lots of interesting bargains in those middle aisles 😊
I had a good night with my girls. DD1 cooked veggie moussaka with salad and garlic bread. We had my mum, Florida and Boxing day on our agenda! DD2 and I both with our notebooks and pens 😊
Lunch out with auntie today, we'll pick her up around 12.

Morning all.
It poured with rain in the night and with the wind in the wrong direction the water came in again as expected .The roof repair isn’t until the 25 thI could hear the drip, drip into the container on the window sill. It’s bright now though.
I’ve a lot of general stuff to do today as everything was neglected over the weekend due to the garage clearing.I don’t even want to mention the ironing pile!
I hope dental appointments go well and everyone has a good day.

Thank you, I have an hour long appt. this afternoon preparing a crown. I have lost my slippers, they are not in the bedroom as you would expect, not in the wardrobe, not in the fridge. I have some spare ones on. Not sure where to look.
I hope you have a nice and tidy garage now Clover.
Gem, good idea to have a meeting to get things in order, food sounded good.
We have a new Aldi opened quite close, I popped in there to suss it out, not sure about their own brands although I am told they are good. wouldn't be able to do my weeks shopping in there, I came out with a bottle of wine! What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Clover the dripping must drive you mad
Nanto anything planned for today ?
Mimi I will ask him about that it might suit him better x
We shop at Aldi a lot ,
I buy all my meat there , B loves the Rib eye steak so does GS1 , plus i buy the floor cleaner loo rolls cleaning products , don't buy the soap powder only because of my skin im afraid if I changed from my regular it might irritate it , But in Germany I washed B's clothes in it and it was fine ,
The only tins I haven't tried are Beans but the peas etc are good Pasta no different
Fruit and Veg can be a bit old depending what day you go but ive had that in Sainsbury's before too.
If they had a bigger variety I would do most of my shop in there to be honest , They lack a few items
In Germany they Have fresh and cooked meat counters and a Fresh Bakery .
Im not fat just 6ft too small

Morning ladies. I think it's time to go round Aldi for a good look round. I remember going in one nr Christmas last yr & the food variety was really good. Different to your normal stuff.
Having trouble with the space bar on my mobile (what I'm on now) & it's really frustrating. I'm off to Dunelm to return a few bits in a while. I'll have to go in blinkered. Need new curtains for the lounge but that will have to wait. Needs a re-vamp in there. Also some LIGHTWEIGHT interfacing. I will get this right, she says, cowering in the corner.😕😂

Nan I used to shop at Aldi but I found I was having to top up my shopping at one of the big supermarkets as Aldi didn’t carry some items I wanted and I usually spent more per week than if I just stuck with the likes of Tesco.
Saying that I did find that Aldi mince pies were much nicer that any of the other brands I have brought. Also their chocolate is rather nice.
I do go to Aldi to buy flowers to take to the cemetery as they are so much cheaper.
Clover have you tried putting a sponge in the container that you have to catch the drip, drip , dripping. It might muffle the sound.
Oh I must go , there is a man at the door with my new saucepans ...oh the excitement of it all.... when will it start !Bring me sunshine in your smile.

A bit too late for 'good morning' and I have to go and get lunch before the dentists at 2 o'clock.
My day hasn't gone to plan, but will tell all later.
Oma - Mimi's idea for your friend is goo - he might be happier doing something on line. Also there is a brilliant scheme called be my eyes. My DS2 belongs to it. there's absolutely no pressure - you only reply to a request if you wish to, and I think he's answered about 5 or 6 in a year, but it's a really worthwhile thing to do and needs no special skills.
