Like Daisy, our weather is a bit of sunshine and poss. the risk of rain. Off later this morning to Waitrose to collect my order, also the chemist to pick up tablets. Apart from that no other plans.

Oma I hope the MOT goes okay. Have those cutlery drawer crumb fairy been visiting again?

Well done WG for keeping up the fitness plan. Has your son woken up yet?

Gem, I am sure the GC will enjoy their day with GM, I hope the weather is good enough to get outside.

Daisy, we don't have to wear a mask in the fish shop.

I wore one this morning, when i went for the papers for in laws.
I did ask if they would stop anyone from coming in that weren't wearing a mask.
They said they had stopped 3 customers from coming in with no mask. All men.

Its been a day for visitors. DS1 called early this morning.
Later, hubby's brother came and stayed for a couple of hours.
GD1 has just sent a text. They are visiting when her hubby gets home from work and has had a shower.

Nanto - what a lovely social day. It said on the tv news that shopkeepers are not expected to stop staff entering without a mask, which is probably sensible as some people could turn nasty. But well done to your newsagents for being on the ball.

It's turned out quite nice and sunny, and a bit too warm to do any strenuous gardening.

I messaged DS2 to ask how they were getting on, he phoned to say they were both ill and on their way home, sore throat, runny nose etc so I told them to go and get tested! He said if they don't feel better tomorrow they will go and get a test, I do hope that they are both tired from doing so much lately.

Lizzie, I don't think runny nose and a sore throat are symptoms but best to be sure.

Sounds like a lovely family day Nanto.

The new router has been installed and GD2 has tested my signal and it seems to be okay, fingers crossed.

Lizzie - fingers crossed for your family that it's just a cold, but definitely better to get tested to know for certain. xx

Mind you, that might change when i get there.

                        Good morning all.
Glad to hear they are feeling better, Lizzie. Maybe just tired as you say.

We are invited to friends tonight for a takeway, which will be nice.
No other plans although we do need to go to Wilko. I have only been once early in lockdown, and really need to go again. As we now have to wear masks (which I understand and agree with the reason for) I will be doing even less shopping than I do, which is hardly any anyway! I suppose we will have to get used to them. They will be here to stay for some time.

Another weekend here, I hope it holds something good for everyone.

                          Good morning ladies

Wet and dark as usual rained heavy during night

Have a dark wash in and ironed fresh bedding that's hanging on spare room door I will strip beds tomorrow.

Gem have a lovely time tonight nice to be able to go have something to eat with friends xx

Lizzie no matter how old our children are we don't stop fretting over them , hope it's just a cold they have xx

Nanto those peas will turn into a trolly full I bet

B had to pop to screw fix this morning so he went into Lidl as it's almost next door he said there were a few people in and only him and another man with masks on .
People are so selfish not thinking of others it's a case of I'm alright Jack B****r you .
I know they not nice to wear but it's for a reason not a fashion statement.

Some people have medical reasons for not wearing them I understand that but those that don't should abide by the recommendations

Mind I do feel for people who are cloastraphobic it must be a nightmare for them

That's not fair is it Oma when some people don't wear them? Maybe they hadn't realised the new rules applied, but it's been hard to miss really.
DD2 went to M&s for some food yesterday and she said if felt better with everyone there wearing masks. Safer if you had to get closer to someone that you would choose, and she said it just felt better with everyone wearing them. No one judging you for wearing or not wearing them! I don't like them but no way would I go into a shop or building now without one.

Asked DS if there were any exceptions for not wearing masks in Slovakia. He said you either wore one or you didn't go out! He wears his when he comes out of his room and makes sure we're well away from him. If he'd waited until next week to come back,he wouldn't have had to quarantine because Slovakia is off the danger list for travel!
Drizzle here at moment. Next door is setting up tables and chairs on the patio so obviously expecting guests. I wouldn't fancy eating outside today. So far no sign of his smelly barbeque which he sets up under our windows. Maybe my banging shut of the windows last time has worked, fingers crossed! His parents have just arrived from Bristol.
There's a pile of paper ready to be shredded so I might get that done. I have no idea what else I shall do! Home made curry for dinner tonight.
                                Enjoy your day ladies x
