It's sunny here despite the forecast! I hope your weather improves for you Oma. Even if you're not going anywhere wet weather is a pain.
We are looking forward to today. It is our first 'outing', I would say, since before lockdown. Apart from the cold and wet beach visit on my birtday, a handful of garden visits to friends and DD2, and our walks we haven't been anywhere. Time to cautiously begin

Daisy GS3 did have a promise of work in line with what he is studying but the company have been told not to take on more staff and as his contract had not been signed, they couldn't offer him the job. He is supposed to take work in line with what he is studying but after October he can take any job if necessary. I do feel very sorry for him, he has always worked hard and planned his future. He is doing a thick sandwich (one year off) to get his masters.

Gemini, I hope your DD and family have success with their house sale.

All this cake making, I made a banana cake yesterday, half has gone next door and two slices into the cabin dwellers.

Daisy OH's train journey and hospital appointment appointment went well . He said the train had 5 carriages as opposed to the normal two so everyone was able to sit well apart and the hospital was eirely quiet. He has to go again in October.

It's a dull day out there at the moment, summer seems to have disappeared, its seems a long time ago when it was too hot to be outside.

Gem - the animals are happy again, although it took Eva a good 5 minutes of snuggling up to me and licking me to get rid of the evidence that I'd been socialising with CATS! So all is peaceful, until they all want dinner. I hope you have a great day out and manage to get lunch as well.

Plant - I've made banana cake this week as well. Mimi - there's a nice large slice of it here for you, plus a cup of tea or coffee to wash it down.

Mimi - I'm sure your OH was relieved it was so quiet both the journey and the hospital. Hopefully October will be the same and he will be less concerned about the journey.

Plant - oh I do feel for your GS3. He's a lovely young man, and it's such bad luck for him. He deserves to get the right kind of job, but I'm sure he will take every opportunity he can. He won't give up easily.

Oma - £22.50 sounds a lot, but I suppose the 50p is for the gauze and the £22 is for knowing what to do with it! I hope B's ok. J's doing well today. His eye isn't very red or scratchy, so apart from throbbing and some tenderness from bruising round his eye socket, he's ok. Thank you for asking after him. Eva's paws are fine now, although the metacarpal pads need to toughen up a bit, so we're still being a little bit careful.

Oma - I think I should pay a visit to Specsavers - I've just read your post "B busy putting fresh Stilton around the back of the work tops".

Rain has been on and off all day here.

We had a walk up to Farmfoods in between the showers. Thought it would be good excercise.

Oma, you will be pleased with your newly oiled kitchen tops, how often does your hubby do them? I need to do mine, could do them later on.

Plant, I hope your GS3 finds work soon, so many people losing their jobs though.

I have just got home from the gym, I am pleased I went when I did, I enjoy it. I just hope we can carry on as we are, we will have to wait and see what happens.

GD and GS2 day today. I have a feeling I promised GS some sort of art project involving butterflies! No doubt he will remember.
No school work or dance class for GD today, so she will be free! Not sure if we will take then out anywhere later. We'll go with the flow, depending on what they want to do,and the weather.

It's dull but dry ,

Car MOT day so DD following B to garage to bring him home then will take him back when it's done .

Asda been all stuff put away , meat in vacuum bags and in freezer ,

Lizzie we try to do them every 6 month but sometimes they start to look shabby so they may need a light sand and oil in between . I love them at the moment a couple month down the line when they scratched and marked I will hate them again

Strawberry shortcake reminds me of my DD as a little girl too I remember her 🍓 shortcake dress she had she wore it over and over again till she couldn't get it over her head she loved it so much I had to make it into a dress for her doll at the end

Plant poor GS all his hard work too , I do hope luck shines on him soon he deserves it poor lad . How's the Shed dwellers ? Is she ok with morning sickness ?

Need to clean down toaster and stuff that goes on worktops , why is it you can't get all the crumbs out of a toaster , wouldn't you think this day and age you would be able to lift the elements out to give a good clean inside

Day 3of of my 5day fitness challenge! Certainly finding muscles I forgot I had! Not sure what today's class involves. No doubt it will involve aching muscles!

Good morning everyone. I thought I was an early bird this morning, but it's turned 9.30!

It looks like a bit of a meh day here, but it's not cold and it's not raining - yet. We need to move some big potted plant round in the garden so we can put our new garden umbrella in that space, but I've no idea where they're going to go.

WeeGranny - I hope the muscles don't ache too much.

Oma - we finally got a posh toaster - OH hated the one we had, which I thought was perfectly ok - but you still can't clean properly inside! I hope the car passes ok. I casually mentioned to OH about B sanding down your worktops and added our utility room badly needs doing. "Yes", he said, "I'll have to do it sometime."

Lizzie - OH was getting monthly injections until Coronavirus. Now it's every two months, but we have noticed he recovers faster, and when they tested his vision this week they said it had improved. He's long overdue to see the consultant, but things seem to be ok, so we're not worrying about that.

Nanto - do you have to wear a face mask in the chippy? Just wondering.

Gem - have a lovely day with the GCs. Is GD pleased she's now on holiday? I think my GD1 is missing school a bit. An art project involving butterflies sounds rather nice.
