    Evening All.
Before I forget, Daisy it’s 4 boxes in one box! I was given it by my friend, her very talented sister had made it. When the lid is taken off the four sides drop down and each has a small box attached. Mine were all filled with chocolates. I loved it so much I thought I would have a go at making one. Ha! Not easy. They all have lids.
On the other hand, I went to the ‘Range’ this morning for card etc. I asked the young man at the checkout if they took American Express, he said “yes, Master Card, visa, American Express, Columbian luncheon vouchers, we take them all” It was the way he said it, so, so funny. I guess you had to be there.
Qwerty I hope you are ok.
Everyone seems to have been very busy today. I have mucked out the study/craft room, it was unhygienic! It took hours.
    Sunshine, have a great trip.
Shame about GS WG, I hope it’s not too painful.
Oma, what is a candle melt?
I have thrown the remaining Turkish Delight away but OH brought a huge box of After Eights and a gigantic Toblerone in from the garage this afternoon.😩
We bought them to eat at Christmas and forgot about them! What ever am I to do? Talk about death by chocolate.
Sleep well folks, ever hopeful here.

GM you know those wax fragrant blocks you put in the top of a sort of bowl thingy and light a candle under to melt and make the room smell nice

          Good morning all
I think it's quite chilly Nan2. It looks dry at last though which is welcome.
Grauntie - these! https://www.yankeecandle.co.uk/brows...-melts/_/N-7uw Many other brands available of course.
          How did you sleep Oma?
Qwerty I hope the botox is working and you feel more comfortable today.

Today we begin taking down Christmas, and the trees will stay until tomorrow.
This afternoon we are going with a group of friends to see a big screen event as they call them, at Vue. This is Andre Rieu's 70th birthday concert. W ehave have been to 2 concerts previously and seen him on TV a few times. We will drop in on my mum first as she lives nearby.

          Have a good day everyone.

Good morning, everyone. Nanto - I think it's mild, too - here at least.

Qwerty - I hope you've woken up a new woman, love. xx

Gem - the Andre Rieu screening should be fun. I love watching the audiences at those concerts. Gem, poor kitty. I bet she was glad to see you.

Grauntie - you can't win, so you might as well just give in and enjoy! After Eights AND Toblerone. Irresistible, so just enjoy. The box sounds incredible, and I'm sure you'll find a way to make it all work. Would love to see photos, though. What materials would you use?

Oma - lovely to see friends unexpectedly like that. I bet those stubby candles were hidden by your shelf elf at Christmas!

WeeGranny - poor DS. He must be so fed up he won't be able to ride his lovely new bike for a few weeks, and at that age that must seem like eternity. I hope his wrist isn't too painful and heals quickly. Enjoy your day out today - I hope the weather's ok for you. Where are you going?

Sunshine - when you booked this cruise it seemed ages and ages away, and now here you are, bags packed and on your way. Safe journey, and have a fantastic, wonderful, amazing time. Take lots of photos (haha, silly comment, of course you will!) and I'm sure you'll also make lots of new friends on your travels. Sending hugs. xxx

Last night we went round to friends for a much delayed Christmas! They were away for Christmas itself, but although we saw them on New Year's Eve we didn't want to exchange presents with other people there. So A cooked a lovely meal, we had champagne, and opened our presents. We got home about midnight, and Eva was so happy to see us and I got the clear message she was too excited to sleep and needed a walk. So I put my shoes back on and took her round the block. It wasn't cold and the moon was visible through thin cloud, and it was so quiet. Lovely.

No plans yet for today - we'll see what it brings.

              Daisy, what a lovely night
I always fancy some sort of 12th night end of Christmas gathering, but have never got around to organising it!

Good morning all. We both overslept this morning, woke at 7, thought I’d get up at 7.30 and make tea, next thing I knew it was 9.30!,

Have a lovely cruise Sunshine, 🌞

We FaceTimed DD, DS etc yesterday, so good to see them all together. They are well away from all the fires, luckily, but it was very hot. I gave them my usual..be careful..chat 🙂, it’s so awful out there I know they know I worry about them.

Everywhere looks clean and tidy now, just need to get a load of washing in. Otherwise, not much planned today. Have a good day everyone 🌞

No plans for today, I bought some grease bands for the apple trees (what an exciting life I lead) but it doesn't look too exciting outside to stand and prune the trees and apply the bands.

That sounds a lovely walk Daisy, Eva certainly knows how to express her needs and you have had fun, now it is her turn.

Grauntie, we are all expecting to see pics of the boxes within a box.

Gemini I have seen those Andre Rieu screenings advertised, not keen on going alone and can't think of anyone who would enjoy coming with me.

Sunshine, have a lovely time, it sounds a very exciting holiday.

Oma, dinner sounds good, sorry about your lack of sleep.

WG hope your GS's wrist heals okay so he can get back on that bike. I have two GS who have those bikes, they used to make me feel nervous.

Family said the Panto was good, GGS didn't like the bad man and there was rather a lot of dancing.

Not seeing in laws today Oma. Sister in law has been today.

Dad has a lot of Andre Rieu CD's and DVD's, not my cup of tea though.

You could do with a nap Oma!
Reindeers are still in the hall, Mummy and Baby. We bring them in at night and they haven't been out for a couple of nights. Up to the loft for them soon!
It's a pity you are too far away to join us Plant, our friends mum and aunt and their friends come, you would fit in nicely I'm sure

Bon Voyage Sunshine, if you are still around!

Nanto - generally I'd say Andre Rieu type of music isn't my favourite, but watching a concert is very entertaining because the audiences at the live concerts are having such a great time, they make you feel happy too. You kind of get caught up in this fantasy world of voluminous frocks, romance and people watching.

Now that's at least 4 of us who'd like to see a live AR concert. Trip to Maastricht anyone?

Oma - I hope you've had that nanna nap. Thank you for asking. J's back is much, much better. I haven't sent him up on to the roof to clean the gutters yet though!

Plant - Poor little GGS. The baddies must seem very scary to a little chap like him, but I hope he joined in all the 'he's behind you's and 'oh, yes he is's I first went to an AR screening when someone gave me tickets for my birthday, and I really enjoyed it, so be brave and ask a friend to go with you.

Gem - We always used to 'do' Christmas with these friends on Christmas morning, but they are often away now for Christmas seeing one of their DDs and their GD. But we all enjoyed last night, so it might become a bit of a fixture. There's nothing to stop us starting a new tradition.

                                Good Afternoon.
Thank you for the explanation Oma and the link, Gem. I have never seen them before! Now I am enlightened.
Daisy the boxes are made from card. If I get it right I will post a pic. That was my intention today but somehow I haven’t managed it.
Enfys, I did the same as you but I woke at 5am, had some chamomile tea and went back to bed and woke at 9.30!
Plant, the tree bands and pruning would excite me!
Nanto2, the graphic reminded me of a sit com about a family where there was a ceramic chicken in the centre of the table and everyone was expected to put money in for their keep. I can’t for the life of me remember what it was called, does anyone else?
I made OH put the chocs back in the garage. This will be day two without eating a single chocolate but I have stuffed myself with nuts and raisins!
Enjoy the rest of the day ladies.
