Funny that Daisy, cos Oma always comes to mind when I see the napkins at IKEA. I succeeded in getting wrapping paper, cards, crackers & a few of the GC's stocking bits in Town. Nearly all in Wilko. I even managed to find tubs & spray of 'Pink Stuff' which Libra swears by. Also got oven cleaner, (the one where you put the shelves in a bag + cleaning fluid), so OH's going to be busy.🤣😂😉

I'll put everything together in the loft & put a note in my organiser as a reminder for the 1st week in Dec. I stopped at one of those fone accessory places & a fella put a screen protector on my new mobile for me. After lunch I looked at it & it wasn't on straight. Called back to show him, after some excuses (from him) I stuck to my guns & got my money back. Don't mess with Nana. 🤼♀️

I could have done with those crackers on New Year's Eve - I thought we had at least one full box, possibly two, but we didn't have any. At least Eva was happy there were no bangs.

Every one seems to be suffering from aching joints today. Is it the weather that makes such a difference?

Today we are going to Lotherton Hall (near Leeds) with DD and SIL2 and the children. It will be good to see them as we haven't since Boxing Day. Not sure how much walking I will be able to do, but I did have ice on my knee all evening yesterday so it's less swollen.

Good morning, was very windy here overnight but better now.

Had a lovely lunch with our friends yesterday, it was so nice to see them again. He has health problems, mainly with his heart wnd doesn’t get out a great deal so was pleased to be able to have a good chat with DH.

My first WI meeting of the year today, so I’m out again!

DD arrived safely in Australia, all went well, in fact they landed half an hour early. She was lucky and had an empty seat next to her so could stretch out. They’ve sent me some photos but we’ll catch up properly tomorrow when she’s had a good sleep. Just happy she got there safely.

Clover, if you see this, I hope all is well with you both and you’ve been able to have a rest xx

Good morning everyone. Lovely sunrise, Nanto - just like it is here at the moment - nearly. At least it's dry and sunny. I didn't hear any wind last night, Enfys, but I did sleep quite heavily.

Enfys, so glad your DD has had a good journey and arrived safely. Enjoy your WI. I'm sure your friends were pleased to see you both.

Lots to read this morning, some getting bargains, some with aching joints (hope those feel better soon). That was a busy shop for you Daisy but of course it wasn't for food, you send hubby for that.

My friend T is flying to Dubai today for a holiday with her OH, who will travel from Australia to meet her. It wouldn't be T's choice of holiday venue (or mine) I hope they have a lovely time, and come back happy!

Re the Turkish Delight, I had to eat some, and then OH came in from his bridge club with a large tin of cognac truffles! I just had to try a couple to decide whether I liked them or not. I am sorry to say they are delicious. Now I must choose between the two...I could alternate though....this is from a woman who normally doesn’t bother with sweets of any kind, never give them a second thought until Christmas chocolate appears. (I have some chocolate money too)
Now I have the taste I just can’t stop.🙄
waiting for Amazon to bring me a paper scorer so I can make some neat and unmessy boxes.

Morning all, it’s a lovely sunny day out there this morning and I have noticed that the daffodils are starting to peek through the garden soil.
I know we are more than likely to see winter arrive with a vengeance but it does cheer up the garden, seeing new growth.

I have just picked up my repeat prescription from the pharmacy and I have booked a telephone appointment with the dr to ask his advice about coming off the antidepressants. Last time I asked him he said wait a little longer so we will see. The telephone appointment isn’t until the middle of the month, there is a waiting time for that also !

How is Glamm and Clover, is there any up date?

We are having pork chops for lunch today. I have some apples that are a little on the soft side so with a few cloves they should make a nice apple sauce, waste not want not. I can’t believe the amount of food some of my neighbours throw away , I dread to think the amount it adds up to nation wide.

Nanto yummy Fish & Chip day

Went to bank this morning , then to Asda , then straight to one of our out of town retail places ,
B wanted to go to Mountain warehouse for a new coat , managed to get a lovely one in the sale plus his Forces discount making it super cheap bargain ,

We then called into Sainsburys and ended up buying more Crackers Xmas cards and gift tags ,
Crackers are now 40p, Cards 10 pk for 25p and tags 10p , well would be rude not to buy them wouldn't it .
