Haha - never a dull moment! Eva loves our window cleaners, and they always make a fuss of her, but Cooper had other ideas. How dare those long drippy poles invade 'his' space, and even worse there are strange men attached to the poles! He gave them a good telling off from the safety of the living room. (He's not a brave dog.)

    Peace is restored.

Oma - I have had lots of Cooper cuddles. I hope Storm enjoys his lunch, and you've got the makings of GS1's in the fridge ready!

Gem - a busy day for you. I'm sure you will be delighted to get your new car on Friday. We would find it hard to manage with one car as well.

Nanto - I've been wondering how your FIL was, so it's good to hear he seems better.

Qwerty - it will be great to have a break from cooking etc after your busy Christmas. Have fun.

It's gone from being quiet a decent day to tipping down with rain, and it's gone dark as well.

Lizzie at my mum's last BP check it was high and the nurse only took it once. Usually if it is high they take it 3 times, and often it has gone down by the 3rd time. Mum had to go back to have it checked by a Dr and it was normal then.

Lizzie I think its a natural reaction when you have never had a problem before we all have something we worry about , you just want to be well and healthy and when something rears its ugly head it causes you concern . You may go to your Dr and find its fine , fingers crossed it is xxx

Lizzie - I'm so sorry I didn't see our post earlier - it's always a bit scatty here on Mondays and Tuesdays. It's only human nature to worry about what might go wrong with our over-worked bodies. If we were washing machines we'd have been sent for recycling long ago! Seriously, it's good news that your heart is ok, and as Oma says it could just be white coat syndrome. The doctor won't want to rush in with BP medication until they've double and triple-checked your BP over a period of time. My OH's doctor lent him a machine to check his BP for a week after his recent funny turn. Even at home under relaxed conditions there was quite a variation, although only one reading was really high and the others were really low. Hopefully yours will have gone down for Wednesday's appointment. xx

Plant - I wonder what's wrong with the tiles. Are they a shiny glaze or a matt one? Matt glazes aren't as tough as shiny ones, so more likely to get damaged or worn.

Gem - not long to wait for your new car. What colour is it? I bet you can't wait to be back on the road again.

Nanto - we can share some of our rain with you if you like? We've certainly got plenty - even the weeds are drowning in our garden.

It was lovely seeing the GDs after school today. I've really missed them. I'd forgotten to give them a little parcel of books each at Christmas so I saved them for today. GD1 adores reading, but she had to do her guitar practice, so I didn't give them the parcels until she'd done that. GD2 wanted to read "Mummy Fairy and Me" by Sophie Kinsella straight away, but she was tired so we shared the reading. I was also getting her to guess what came next and she was right every time! And Grandma got a lovely cuddle as well.

I miss mine over the Christmas break. I haven't seen GS1 since Boxing Day and won't see him this week due to being unable to do the school run.

My new car is silver. I would have liked another blue one, but silver is nice!

Good morning, awake far too early! Yes, I just hope it was a one off!!! See how it is tomorrow. I picked GD2 up out of school yesterday, she ate here then her mother picked her up on her way home as she had football training. I enjoyed having her as with DS1 working from home so much she goes on her bike to school.
