Good morning, Nan2, Oma , ladies.

It felt cold here too Nan2, when I got up to make the tea and feed the cat.
Poor B, Oma, I hope it is over soon for him.
That sounded a nice GC day Nana.

We had a really nice time last night. It was good to meet our friend's great niece, mid way through a tour of almost everywhere!! Once we again mastered the strange quiz which you do on your phone we had fun. Having someone younger with us was an advantage for some questions! And of 22 teams ours was the only one who correctly answered the question How many times do the words Hot Cross Buns appear in the song?' The others in our team wanted to put 3 but I insisted on 4, and of course was right
We came 11th out of 21, so not winners, but felt happy with that as there are serious teams there who play every week.

GD and GS2 today. We have no plans so will see how the day goes. They tend to prefer to stay here.

      Have a good Friday everyone.

Good morning one and all from me.

We were promised bright spells this morning - and they were right! Oma - give B my love - I hope everything's ok. Plant - hope your sister is feeling better in her own home. Nanto "Hello" back to your friendly teddy.

Gem - a phone quiz sounds interesting. Well done on the Hot cross buns.

Sorry this is so brief - I know I haven't responded to everyone but I need to get my skates on. We're going to see DS1 and family for the day, and want to make the most of it. It's lovely the GSs are on half-term so we can spend some time with them. I'll try and catch up with the rest of the forum when I get back, if it's not too late tonight.

Tomorrow OH has an early hospital appointment with the consultant. It could be very quick or take ages - we never know.

Have a good day everyone. xx

Hope B's camera investigation goes okay. I have had one of those, top and bottom, the Dr. gave me a shot of something to relax me. I watched it on the screen.

Your team forgot it had a second verse, definitely four hot cross buns Gemini. Have a nice day with your GC Gemini, sometimes they just want a quiet day at home, or your home.

Food shopping for me this morning and a trip to JL to buy a hot hissy thing. I have a £25 voucher from them so that should cover it. I am going to try and stay out of ladies clothes dept. although I have to go through it to get to the cafe, I have a voucher for a drink and a cake. I went into Aldi (the nearest food shop) yesterday to pick up some wine and of course I picked up some more bits. I paid for a basket full and said to the cashier that I was going to take it to the car to put it into bags. He said no I couldn't do that as an alarm would go off, people steal the baskets, I had to leave it with him, go outside in the rain get a trolley for which I needed a £1 coin, go back in retrieve my basket full, got the wine and then went to the check-out and explain I had a receipt for the basket full and paid for the rest. I was soaked. Where am I going to food shop today? Waitrose of course.

Have a lovely day everyone, hope the sun shines on you. I will pop back later.

Morning. Hope B's results come back clear Oma. I found the prep worse than the procedure.😉 Gem put me out of my misery & tell me where the fourth hot cross bun comes in pleeeez. Is it repeated at the end? Ha! Nan2 those in laws of yours certainly keep you on your toes.

Hope you all enjoy your Friday.

Plant I once had that problem in Wilko with one of those baskets on wheels. I had just had one of my cataract ops and wasn't to lift anything heavy and the basket was heavy. No way way I allowed to take it to the car though so like you Plant I had to go out, and bring a trolley in the take my shopping to the car now. I now know all those baskets are alarmed but I didn't then.

              Have a good day Daisy

Went to JL and Waitrose with DD, not very often we go shopping together, she is on half-term. We saw GD in Waitrose, she is staying at her partners house for a week to look after his GM whilst his mother goes away on holiday. They will be back in their cabin on Tuesday. DD usually shops at another Waitrose in the opposite direction but this one is near to JL. At least I now know the system at those shops Oma. Got my iron, have yet to try it out, I don't iron much but can't do without one.

Hope B gets good results Oma.

Daisy enjoy your time spent with GGS, I am sure they will enjoy your visit.

This evening with DD1 and GS we are going to an event in York, part of the annual Viking Festival. I am not sure exactly what it is but I think it involves fireworks, Very popular, the tickets sold out some time ago. I hope it's not too wet and windy!

                        Enjoy your Saturday

I haven’t been on here for quite a while, I’ve got out of the habit of looking each day. I must try to remember. We were in Portugal earlier in the month which was lovely. I’ve been struggling with a flare of my L S and had to have a biopsy done last week. I have been very sore for over a month, it is beginning to improve but having a stitch isn’t helping matters! The dog has been diagnosed with canine dementia which is sad. She gets lost around the house and garden, paces, stands staring and panting bless her. She’s a bit deaf and can’t see much. She began weeing round the house. Vet has given her some pills to calm her and which are also pain killers and she is less anxious. I don’t know how much time we have left with her she’ll be 15 this year. That’s some of my news, I’ll have to read back through threads to catch up!

Good to see you Avo. Portugal is a lovely place and I don't blame you getting over to your property as much as you can.
I'm sorry about the soreness, that has to be so hard to deal with.
Poor doggy. A dog of friends of ours developed dementia and would often have to be rescued from a corner of the room as she would be standing facing in and forget how to get herself out again.
I know what it's like caring for elderly pets, as 2 of our cats died within a few months of each other last year at 19. we were lucky to have them as long and miss them terribly, but the last months were very hard work for us.

                                Good moaning each.
Nice to see you Avo. I hope you will feel better soon. It is sad when we see the signs of old age in our faithful pets, and it sounds as if you have made her as comfortable as possible.
Glad to hear you are all rocking and rolling, or in B’s case Oma, running. 😬
I am only going as far as the post office today, I have at last bought a gift for a friend’s new GC. He is now three months old! Better late than never though.
