I’m on the second load of washing but will put it on the airier as it’s a bit showery today. Started putting things in the Motorhome for our 3 week trip to France leaving on 12 June. Got a busy time with the grandsons before that so will earn that rest away!

Oma, we don't go away until June 23rd. Nice surprise there for B
Plant, a rest day after a busy one is extremely wise.
By tomorrow you will need a good rest Qwerty Enjoy the day! I have all 3 all day on Friday, but not a sleepover.
It was so cold, wet and miserable all morning I made soup! Its slightly brighter now, but far from summery. Not good for the half term break.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Afternoon.
Qwerty I hope your plans have all worked out. A busy day indeed and expensive as you say. I wish we’d lived nearer to our GC especially when they were pre-teens.
Oma did B know you were contemplating buying a new table or will it be a complete surprise? Did you see the table in Ikea the last time you were there.
Sunny here and now that the Tesco order has just been delivered I will try and summon the energy to cut the grass/weeds/daisies !

I've just got back from dog training (well about half an hour ago) We overran a bit tonight! OH is up at DS1's tonight as his car's going in for a new clutch tomorrow and our local garage quotes were outrageous. The one near quoted about half the price. Hopefully it will be done in one day and he can come home tomorrow evening, if not it will be Thursday. I'm out first thing tomorrow to go to the hairdressers, so I'll catch up later.
Poor Eva is sitting in the hall waiting for OH to come home!

Love the graphic Nanto, hope the sun continues to shine for your washing.
Hope Eva doesn't sit there all night Daisy, she likes you to be together.
Nothing much planned for today, might go up to JL, I am looking for a summer dress and I need some felt to make some more of those needlecases for a sales table. Now my tummy is better I need some fruit so will call in at M&S on the way back. I was very shocked yesterday when making an appt. for the nurse (which I was unable to do on line) to see that the wait to see a doctor, if needed, would be 2 months!!! I made the appt. for the nurse on the telephone and the receptionist confirmed that was the case atm. Of course she said you could ring on the day if it was urgent. I am not sure the reason for this and what do they consider to be urgent. Perhaps I ought to book one now in case I need one in two months time.

Good moaning each.
Sitting here trying to get motivated to do something constructive, it’s not happening.
I have had success with the sewing machine thanks to the ladies on a sewing forum and YouTube. A new needle and rewinding the bobbin a different way was all it took! (I had all but dismantled it!) I certainly learned a lot.
I will go to Asda and play with the new self scanning as you go machine, that will keep me amused for a while. What’s the betting I pick up duff scanner?

Good morning everyone.
Aww, poor Eva missing her dad Daisy!
We have towels to go on the line Nan2, don't want to waste a fine day!
Plant, I have taken to booking appointments for my mum and cancelling them nearer the time when I'm sure she wont need them, as the wait is so long. Good to hear your tummy is back to normal.
I hope Qwerty survived the 3 child sleepover!
We are going into town today probably having lunch there too. We had planned to go to the newly opened Cat Cafe too. After finding out it is £7 each just to go in (tea, coffee, cakes etc extra) we have decided against it. I think it will benefit cat lovers who for whatever reason don't have cats of their own. Or holidaymakers. I miss my cats when on holiday so would pay in those circumstances. I have couple of friends who love cats but can't have one of their own due to OH's with allergies. I will probably go to the cat cafe one day with one of them.

Morning ladies , been shopping , went to our shopping centre and our elderly neighbours were sitting in Costas having coffee so we sat with them had a coffee and a chat , they are lovely people , the husband keeps our key and checks every other day while we are away so our DD doesn't have to do it all the time .
Was looking for a new filter jug and found what I wanted in Wilko ,cheaper than Asda ,Sainsbury's and Argos by about £5 so with what I saved I bought spare filters
Nothing else planned for today its a bit grey and dull here ,
Daisy poor Eva she must have been confused
Qwerty have you survived ?
Gem the Cat Café sounds interesting but £7 is a lot , although as you say if your on holiday and missing your cats its a good idea ,
I was reading a serial in Peoples friend magazine last year and the story was all about a Cat Café I wonder if they got the idea from that ? you never know
GM good for you working the sewing machine out .
Plant its ridiculous the waiting time isn't it , how do you know how your going to feel in two month or by time you get a appointment your either better or dead hahaha
Have a good day ladiesIm not fat just 6ft too small
