Qwerty, i haven't done cheese and eggs like you describe.
I have grated cheese with beaten eggs and cooked it in the oven,a kind of Welsh rarebit.
Yes Plant,a difficult decision for the family to make about their Mum.

I'm sorry you're feeling under the weather as well Clover, but you have a lot to deal with plus January. Still it's best to get a check up. I feel I can't be bothered with things, I just want to laze in a chair with a good book. (haha, fat chance). I'm sure we're intended to semi-hibernate during the winter.

Enfys - your knitting friends sound lovely. How did the sock go today?

I love going out for brunch. When we used to go to the States a lot we always made a point of going out for Sunday brunch - you didn't need to eat for a week afterwards though.

Nanto - yummy - toasted sandwiches.

Qwerty - baked eggs and cheese sounds yummy, too.

Gem - OH was watching the snooker and I was wondering if your mum would be glued to it, so perhaps that's why she put you off going. As you say, I hope she realises you won't be able to go now until Thursday.

Oma - Our snowdrops are just starting to come out - such a welcome sight.

Plant - ouch, your poor finger. I bet it was painful as well as bleeding, but I hope it didn't stop you getting cuddles with GGS. Your poor SIL and his family - it must be very hard to make those sorts of decisions about your mum.

Back to routine for me tomorrow, but I haven't seen our GDs since last Tuesday and it seems such a long time somehow.

Nothing planned for today, apart from going to in laws later.

Have a good day whatever you are doing or wherever you are going.

          ā€œMooorningā€ Nanto and followers.

General chores today and a walk later.
I managed a bit of hacking back in the garden yesterday. I realised now that the trees are down a holly bush/tree alongside where they were has got out of control so needed some taming. Managed all that I could reach but must try and do the higher branches today if it stays dry.
The bed needs changing and I want to make a cake so Iā€™d better get on with things.

Hope you all have a good day.

Bowls for me this afternoon. I cooked a Guinea Fowl yesterday and boiled the bones so I am planning to make leek and potato soup with the stock later. After a hectic week last week, a much quieter one planned this week

Don't overdo it Clover, watch out for the prickles.

Cheese and eggs are a good combination.

                  Good morning all.

A late good morning from me, as I has to be at the hospital early to be poked and prodded (and kept waiting for ages to be seen despite a 9am appointment) Back there again at 4 for boob squashing.
After the appointment we went to our favourite coffee shop in the village. We may do some painting before we have to go in again, not sure yet.

                  Enjoy your Monday ladies.

                      Good morning everyone (just)

Gem - it's frustrating when you have to wait ages despite having an appointment, but at least you're getting both jobs done in one day. I hope you don't have to travel too far to the hospital.

Plant - I should think you'll be glad of a quieter week - you were on the go all last week.

Clover - take care the holly doesn't bite back. It's quite satisfying though when you do get some of these jobs done. Enjoy your walk. What kind of cake are you making?

Qwerty - can we see a pic of the wallpaper when you've finished please? Please can I be the one to sit in a comfy chair and read, pretty please?

Oma - I hope Storm doesn't 'help' too much with the sorting out. I've just been in the greenhouse checking on the broad bean plants and both Eva and Cooper decided to 'help'. There's not enough room for one dog, let alone two!

Nanto - I hope your in-laws are ok. Do they get fed up with the winter weather?

I'm going to try and do some ironing, providing the dogs don't want to keep me company. I made soup for lunch last night so that won't take a minute to reheat.

This Dog is in line for a smacked bottom . We busy with bedroom and he is in and out constantly .

He can open the doors no bother but can't close them so the house is freezing
He's coming upstairs to tell me he's in and watching me close the doors then he's wanting to be out again .
Honest he's worse than the children today . He's not happy I have locked the door and made him lay down he's giving me the sad eye look well it's not working herešŸ˜ šŸ˜”

Daisy,in laws don't bother about the weather, don't go out so they don't feel the cold.
Dad will go to the supermarket now and again, when anyone is going.
I'm going into town tomorrow morning, need a few bits.
Mam has given me a list a mile long, for what she wants.

Daisy, how did the cake turn out?

Gem,hope all goes well at your appointments.

                              Afternoon all.

I made fruit cake today.I also changed the bedding ,washed it and got OH to help me put fresh stuff on.We went for a walk via the pharmacy for prescriptions.Mine is on repeat so should have been waiting but they couldnā€™t find it so had to do it again. We then walked round the estate on the other side of the main road, calling in for milk on the way round. It was too cold to walk over the golf course.
This morning I managed some more hacking in the garden but had to leave a lot of the clearing up as I was beginning to lose feeling in my toes.

Oma,poor Storm being confined to barracks, though I donā€™t blame you as heā€™d been in and out like a yo-yo.Itā€™s amazing how expressive their faces can be.

Gem Ihope all well at the hospital.Waiting seems to be the norm.but you darenā€™t risk being late for the given time.

All done with the hospital for a while, hopefully. I had the nicest young woman doing the mammogram which was nice as the woman last year was an unfriendly misery.
OH's routine mammogram next week, so we will breath easier if we get clear reports on both.

The older generation keep us busy don't they Nan2?!
Clover, you are busy in the garden at the moment.
I'm sure Storm just wanted to help Oma
