Nana - I hope the iron and folic acid act quickly. Will you have to wait long for the dermatologist - I hope not.

It's much milder here this morning, and it rained overnight. I hope it holds off the the dog training. It's not much fun plodding round and round and getting wetter by the minute! Fortunately Eva doesn't seem to mind.

Been giving one wall in the living room a coat of paint ,
I took down a cube sort of display thing yesterday I had my Buddha in as we having something else there and of course the screws had to come out but as the walls are like paper pulling the plugs out leaves large holes I filled them and asked B to give them a light sand this morning while I had a shower ,
In his wisdom he decided the wall was a bit rough so sanded a large square around them , so instead of a dab of paint I had to do a larger area than intended

Morning all, all this decorating that is going on, I am planning to have my bedroom decorated in the Spring, will probably keep it a similar colour, don't want to buy new bedding. Not sure what I shall be doing today, there is a village Expo in the Village Hall, I think I might pop in. Apparently we have 28 active groups in our village, we have two WI's for a start.

Nana, I hope the Iron tablets give you some get up and go. I have to go to the Dermatology clinic to have a rodent ulcer removed from my face but only just had the referral sent.

Morning all and not so chilly a morning although I havnt stuck my head out yet.
Today we are decorating the spare room just one wall to strip as the rest is emulsioned, wallpaper has become so expensive good job we only need 2 rolls and there will be some left !
Nana I take folic acid and feel so much better , now and again I come off them and feel fine it’s just when I have a cold or something I start to miss them , and go back on them , you can buy them over the counter as well these days , lots going with you at the mo roll on the better weather when we all feel more alive
Tomorrow we are out for breakfast with Dd and family and then back to her house for an hour she wants to show me her newly decorated bedroom , we are going to Wetherspoons which is 10 mins away so not far, if we go late enough I could have a pint of beer with my breakfast lol, enjoy your weekend ladies

You are right we need nicer weather or something good to cheer us up at this dreary time of year. I have been feeling all out of sorts with myself lately. I suspect it is my annual hospital check up looming. It's silly I know and others, like Mr Oma and Mr Enfys have far more to put up with.
I have two appointments on the same day at 9 and 4. My ibs and aches and pains are all much worse atm, and I suspect (and hope) that after my appointment it will all improve.
Well, that's my moan for the day!

Gem stress makes things seem so much worse doesn't it , also these dark days don't help it doesn't exactly make you feel like get up and go, more like got up and gone !!! xxx

Daisy, no hubby wasn't clothes shopping.
He needed some hardening stuff for a job he is doing in the shed.
Don't ask me what,something he's doing for a pal.
If i ask him what,i'll get it all from the thread to the needle.
Anyway he got what he needed.

Oma,i only got ordinary shopping from Sainsburys.
Been dull and dark all day.

Hitting a bollard reminds me of the time we got stuck on a beach in Qatar! It was my last day visiting OH and decided I wanted to have a swim before coming back home. So off we went and parked up on beach and had a nice afternoon swimming and relaxing in the sun and having a beer or two from the coolbox in the boot ( which in theory we shouldn't have had). Anyway, OH reversed the car ( large 4X4) and something stopped it! We got out and there was a pole sticking up under the back wheel ( how we didn't see it when we parked I'll never know). Car was balanced on said pole and would neither move backwards or forwards.Some young locals who were dune bashing came and tried to help, but no luck. Next thing a police car appeared ( panic ,beer in boot) and again no success. It was decided that the car would b e left on beach overnight, police would give us a lift to police station and one of the company drivers would come and take us back to house ( and me to airport that night). FIne you might think, but as I had forgotten my underchunders to put on after my swim, I had nothing on under my front fastening dress! It was not easy to sit in a police station trying to keep myself respectable especially when the Chief invited us into his office for the obligatory mint tea! Anyway it all worked out fine, beer was still in boot when OH collected car from garage several days later and I wasn't stopped from boarding plane for flouting decency laws!

Been a cold, grey miserable day here. Did Sainsbury's shop because I didn't get there yesterday. Was very busy, they had to open all the check outs because the queues were so long. Not sure why it was so busy. Don't intend to do very much for the rest of the day!

Oma we have a hole in the wall where they removed the old key pad for the alarm system. It'll have to be filled in before it gets a lick of paint. Luckily we still have some paint left, but I don't think OH will fill it in. So I'll have to wait until he get's someone to do it. I'm not doing it!

Gem hope you feel better after your appointments, this grey weather gets many of us down , I can’t believe my OH is up for decorating I would see the time he was quite sad at the prospect of January and February

WG - oh, that is so funny - I'm still giggling to myself. I'm quite sure it wasn't funny at the time though, and thank goodness the beer wasn't found.

My OH went to do the Sainsbury shop yesterday, and went back today for the things we'd forgotten! He was passing there so he didn't have to make a special journey, and it meant we could get a couple of ingredients for Shem's delicious cakes.

I'm beginning to feel quite lazy since I haven't got a paint brush in my hand! Qwerty - it sounds like good news that your OH is up for decorating. xx

Nanto - my faith has been restored knowing your OH was going for hardening stuff. The reason my OH was passing Sainsbury's today was to see some wood turning tools and equipment. Between their love of car boot sales and getting 'stuff' to do stuff with they're two to a pair!

My dr will take the skin thing off at the surgery like last time. Makes me smile when they say 'just a sharp scratch now'. Ha, sharp scratch indeed.🤔 Plant I hope your appointment comes through quickly. I've had two of the same removed. You'll be fine.

DD2 called in with her two today. I needed ear plugs😂 It's lovely to see them so excited to see us.
