Nanto - my OH hasn't mentioned car boot sales for a while, but no doubt when the weather gets better he will.

Nana - I hope your ears have recovered, but they obviously love coming to see you.

No frost, no rain, but it is quite chilly here.

I'm going to make one of Shem's delicious recipes today. Fingers crossed it turns out ok. Other than that, it's really exciting things like washing dog towels and blankets (it's worse than having children!) If it warms up a bit I might also potter in the greenhouse.

Well ive done my housework , washed and dried the darks will iron them after lunch only a few so wont take long ,
Out with our friends for Brunch this morning and a catch up haven't seen them for a few weeks , we had cold then they did, usually meet every other Sunday so have missed them ,

We know how to live and brighten up a dull January. We are going to my mums to move her second freezer from the garage into the kitchen, and then we are taking some stuff from her garage to the tip.

Lovely sunny day here after a frosty start. I had thought I would go out and tidy the borders I can see from my windows but I have just cut my finger on the wizzy blade thing putting it away after chopping some veg for soup. Taking warfarin doesn't help, it wont stop bleeding. Went to the village Expo yesterday, it was a good turn-out. Met loads of friends, had tea and cake. Didn't stay long as GGS was here and couldn't miss his antics. My Sil's mother was next door too, my sil her son had sold her car to prevent her from driving, it was the right thing to do but I did feel sorry for her. Her children (6 of them) are also thinking that she is getting so forgetful that it is time for her to move into a nursing home, they are going to have a family get-together to discuss it. At the moment she lives in a large house, only using a few rooms, not sure how she will take it if they decide to suggest the time has come for her to consider a nursing home.

I hope you have the sunshine for your walk Clover, should you see the doctor over your energy loss, you might need some iron tablets too.

I didn't read the note about GD Gemini, did she go for a swim?

Good morning. Very chilly here but not raining. Just had a nice long chat with DS in Adelaide...it’s been very hot there, up in the high thirties and even forties! Couldn’t stand that.

Had a nice morning yesterday meeting up with some ladies from my on,one knitting group. One of them lives just around the corner from me! Small world, and two others are only 10 minutes or so away. More meet ups planned.

P is doing OK, just started his third round of chemo. Still quite breathless on exertion so we will be pleased to get the heart scan done. Otherwise a lazy day here, more sock knitting for me 😀

Enfys I hope P’s chemo goes smoothly.Coincidently I’ve been breathless on exertion for some time now and as ECG and chest x-ray were okay I am having a heart scan on Wednesday.It’s lovely you’ve found a new group of friends.

We had had quite a long walk .It was mild and the sun did appear for a bit.

Afternoon delightful graphic Nan2 you never let us down. I like the treats you’ve bought yourself I love cheese on toast , have you ever put sliced cheese on an oven proof dish and broke a couple of eggs over it and baked in the oven it’s to die for but so calorific.
Breakfast was superb at Wetherspoons today we had a lovely chat too as there were free refills of tea and coffee, popped to Dds to see her newly decorated bedroom and before I knew it , it was 2 pm we had been out since 10 this morning although we did some shopping with them after breakfast as it’s a lovely shopping centre where she lives, Oma looks like you ate out too love a brunch, Sunday’s always seem different when you go out
Clover you may have a slight health problem but I am very tired too and I know Daisy mentioned it , I do think it’s the time of year too , best get it checked too you have a lot on your plate , could be putting a strain on you
Enfys onwards and upwards still thinking of you as you do this 🙂 Good that your finding time for yourself too
Plant a difficult thing your sils family have to face, it’s not easy. Ouch with the finger too watch you don’t get an infection in it

I hope the lunchers and brunchers enjoyed them Wetherspoons breakfasts are very good value Qwerty.

My mum put us off going today, saying she had a poor nights sleep. Although she has to do nothing but sit in the living room and watch snooker whilst we do the work in kitchen an d garage ,it was clear she didn't want visitors today!
No problem except I won't have time to for a visit to her before my regular Thursday, so I want no moans about having seen no one since last week!! We will move the freezer etc another time.

We took the opportunity to go for a walk. We saw several snowdrops , signs of spring around the corner

Gem we met our friends at a garden centre today and at the side of the car park was a lovely display of delicate snow drops , just one large clump but it made us all smile 😁

Cut not deep but it is still bleeding slightly when I use it, it is very small, just a little slice.
