I'm being very lazy today! One load of washing in (I have to make the spare bed up for my friend who is coming to look after Eva when we are away on Friday night). I like to put freshly washed sheets on for visitors rather than leaving the bed ready made up. I've got an easy dinner planned, as well.
Mimi - hang in there. Everything seems worse when you can't sleep, so I hope a better night tonight will see off that migraine and help you keep your heels firmly dug in. Sending hugs. xx
Qwerty - what a pity you've had to cancel the Jorvik Centre, but at least you will still be able to look forward to it at half-term. Now, now, I'm sure you can have a big padded cream headboard if you're a good girl. Our headboard is padded, but it's not that big. When we had new curtains a couple of years ago we covered the headboard in the same fabric and have plain bedding so it doesn't look too much.

Hello again.
Mimi, lovely to see you but sorry about the damned migraine!
Daisy I woud prescribe more 'lazy' days for you!
WG what chance do we have with our medications if the medics do not tell us what to take or not take?!!
I'm not keen on ironing Nan2, but I agree it is lovely for warming you up!
Keep warm and rested Oma!
Qwerty, half term will probably be warmer, and not full of us Yorkies getting our freebies
We had a lovely afternoon. We collected auntie and went to Rodgers (family run large furniture store) tea rooms.
We had a nice lunch, which auntie insisted on paying for. She was impressed with the tea rooms.
After a leisurely lunch we went to Sainsbury's for some shopping for auntie. I was happy for auntie to stay in the car, but she said she would come in with her walker. She did so well, and didn't use the seat on it once. It is big store too. She felt happy and proud of herself, as she should. She bought cake in Sainsbury's for us to have with a cuppa back at hers. A very nice afternoon for all of usβA grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.β β Unknown

Gem - your auntie must have been delighted to have an outing, and I bet she enjoyed going round Sainsbury's choosing things rather than just doing a list for someone else to get.
I've enjoyed my lazy day, but feel a bit guilty for some reason!"Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "

I have been stitching for most of the day & feel as tho my eyes are crossed π¨ Because it's such detailed work I really have to concentrate too. Taking longer than I thought but π€ I finish it tomoro. Then onto the next one. DD asked if I could make a felt crown for my GD's birthday next week. For me crafting is all or nothing. ..as in it seems to be like buses. Nothing then three come along.
Plant I spoke with my sister tonight & she was saying how quickly the snow came down too. If you remember she lives in your neck of the woods. Mimi I hope you're ok. Oma I don't like to hear you're off colour. Keep well & warm everyone.ββββ"Good friends help you to find important things when you have lost them....your smile, your hope, and your courage."

Good morning from a cold and frosty south coast. Well done on your sewing Nana, no wonder you feel cross eyed. I finished my pair of socks, which GD loved , and a now on a second pair.
Had a few very good days here, P is coping very well with the chemo, this time round and has also been quite busy, which is nice to see. We both went a bid mad at the beginning of the week, moving something, and hurt our backs, our own fault, buthey are ok now. I have to get cross and forbid him to do things otherwise goodness knows what heβd do! π€¨
He has been signed off by the stoma nurse so no longer has to have 6 monthly check ups, but can contact them if he has a problem or just wants a chat. So another milestone passed.
I hope everyone is keeping well and warm, any more snow anywhere? Hope it stays away from here. I have a lot of catching up to do so sorry if Iβve missed anything, will go,and have a look Now π€

Good morning from a cold and frosty North!
Good to hear that P is doing well Enfys, but take care of your backs!
Daisy, I have to say you are never lazy, and you can give some of us who are younger than you a run for our money! I like to hear about you having so-called lazy days
I hope all goes well at the hospital Oma and you don't slip out there!
I wish I could come to you for dinner Nan2
Here we had very light snow overnight. There is a powdery covering this morning, and spaces in the white where cars have moved out. Very frosty and still freezing at the moment, but set to hit the dizzy heights of 3 later.
Golf this afternoon for OH (brrrr!!)
I will pick mum up and go to see my sister. She has been in hospital for an ear problem. I gather that once they could look properly, something she would not tolerate when awake, it was only syringing needed rather than surgery. I will find out more today.
I will do my mum's shopping first and get petrol. If I don't we wont be going to see my sister! After my abortive attempt on Tuesday OH loosened the fuel cap for me, so fingers crossed I can open it todayβA grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.β β Unknown

Apparently the roads are okay for me to go to Aqua although it doesn't look very good in our garden, that will take ages to go. Sil, bless him, has cleared a path and salted it for me to get to the back of my garage, so no excuse.
Enfys so pleased to hear P is feeling okay after the last chemo but mind your backs. I am sure the socks were most welcome, family will be queuing up for them now.
Felt crown Nana, you do get some orders. I can remember being asked by a teacher for hats for Robin and his merry men made in felt and I made two for my GSs. I have started making a cotton top for myself, had to stop yesterday as I was making silly mistakes, gone is the time when I could sew all day.
Oma hope you don't have too long a wait at the hospital. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare
