Oma - poor you - I do hop your knees are feeling better. I'm sure broth and dumplings helps, though.
Enfys - I'm so sorry you've been having a tough week, but I do hope seeing your lovely Granddaughter back from Australia will bring some sunshine in to your week.
Plant - hospital appointments are bad enough, but the parking problems just add to the misery, don't they. I'm glad you had such a lovely time with your Guiding friends.
Grauntie - I look forward to seeing pics of your jewellery. It sounds exciting.
Nana - I hope the temporary crown stayed put this time. Your Celtic knot on the sheep skull sounds very imaginative modern and creative.
Nanto - you'd done a days chores before it was daylight, today.
WeeGranny - I would imagine that Yoga is good for your back as long as you don't over do things. I hope it's feeling a bit better. Good to hear that your OH's side effects have subsided again - fingers crossed it was just the travelling etc. I hope the catering for the funeral went to plan - as I'm sure it did.
Qwerty - it's lovely to see you bouncing back again. You've had a rotten time just lately. Did you enjoy your walk to pick the twins up?

I've had quite a productive day! It took longer than I expected to restore a bit of order and banish all the dog hairs, but everywhere looks better for it! I then started on the kitchen, in between doing several loads of washing, cleaning loads of dust and fluff out of the tumble dryer, and generally tidying up. At one point I found myself apologising to the sucky up thing for accidentally stepping on it!!
I cleaned out a couple of cupboards and discarded some mugs with worn glaze, cracks etc and sorted the fridges out while OH did some shopping. What happened to all that food we had in over Christmas and New Year!! I made good use of a long-handled duster thingy I bought before Christmas, and was shocked at how quickly it got dirty! I hope it's washable.
Tomorrow I'm meeting up for lunch with friends from College, so I shall have a day off from the dreaded housework!

That was a productive day Daisy.
Enfys, I'm sorry that things are rough right now. Take things one day at a time. It will be lovely to see your GD.
I hope the school pick up went smoothly Qwerty. My first of the year will be on Friday.
We went to see auntie and were delighted to discover that she had been to the local shop with her outside walker, for milk and bread, and bought herself a magazine .She felt very proud of herself! I got a shopping list from her, as the little shop doesn't stiock everything.
We then finally chose our paint colours.
We had lunch in M&S, while we were out. Soup for us both and a slice of coffee and walnut cake to share.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Yesterday I had a form from the drs for an x-ray today. OH & I had to go into town first. Long story short...I left my fold up bag on the seat when I got up to go into the shop. There were my new gloves & the x-ray form in it. I remembered when I got back to the car.
OH quickly went back but no bag. He went to customer service but no joy. Some theiving toe-rag had made off with it. I hope there's no repercussions from having my x-ray form. Had all my details on there.
I got another form & had x-ray done. Results in a weeks time.
Enfys I hope your week gets better."Good friends help you to find important things when you have lost them....your smile, your hope, and your courage."

Good morning, Nanto. What a lovely sunny graphic for this cold and very frosty morning. I always think your freezer must be well stocked with delicious meals - you're very organised.
Enfys - how is you lovely GD after all her adventures? I hope P is feeling a bit better today. xx
Nana, I'm sorry your bag was stolen like that. It's a horrible feeling to think that some low life was lurking around ready to pounce. Our lovely dog training lady had her handbag stolen from her car right outside the hall while we were all in class on Tuesday. It's a very isolated place and in the rush to get in to greet new dogs in the first class she forgot to lock her car. I felt so sorry for her because I think there was quite a bit of money in, plus cards etc. It's a bit unnerving to think the thief must have been lurking around in the darkness.
OH has a meeting this morning, and then another at lunch-time. I'm glad he's finally feeling better and able to get out, although shopping yesterday wore him out. I'm meeting friends at the golf club for lunch. We're never sure how many will turn up, but it's always good fun.
I hope everyone keeps warm and has a good day.

Good morning ladies
Your meal sounds nice Nan2. I like to make extra for the freezer for another time too.
Nasty people who steal, Nana
This morning we will put everything in the loft into Christmas Corner.
I will do mum's and auntie's shopping, and take mum's to her. I will probably be putting mum's Christmas stuff away, but at least it is only upstairs, not in a loft.
I hope everyone has a good day.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Enfys - enjoy your day today! I bet you can't wait to see GD. A pj day for her sounds good after her long journey home. The frost almost looked like snow this morning, doesn't it! xx"Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "
