Oh no just what you need on a windy day, the dear children opposite us has just ripped up two bean bags and now there are thriiions of tiny white beads making their way to OH’s prestige lawn !

Daisy to be fair their mum’s were soon on the scene armed with dustpans and brushes and they made the little darlings clear it all up. Apparently one of the mums were having a clear out and she put the bean bags to one side to take to the charity shop on Monday.
Shame about your tomato plants , I kept our seeds indoors on the kitchen windowsill which gets a lot of sunshine so that’s why they have come on so fast I suppose.

Enfys we usually have our main meal at lunch time as eating a ‘ heavy’ meal late in the evening as I suffer also.

Mimi - well done to those mums! Those little beads would get everywhere. Our kitchen windowsills face north or east and don't really get any sun, and I don't think my little greenhouse heater is working properly. The propagator only keeps the temperature 8C above the ambient temp, so with these cold nights it's too cold for the tender little seeds.

Busy morning for us , washing done Dog fed , im going down DD's soon to see to Cats DD back from GS1's Tournament after lunch ,
I will leave Storm at home for a few hours as we have to go take suit back to Moss Bros and go pick a few things up I ordered in Matalan and Sainsburys .

Our little one had a lovely time on his 3rd birthday. He was so excited that his birthday had finally come! I will put a couple of photos on my media, as I know not everyone sees FB.
My mum surprised everyone by deciding to come to the party. This however meant us driving in the opposite direction to get her, before going for the other Gran (who doesn't drive and whose OH has had recent surgery) The sunny weather seemed to have brought every driver in North Yorkshire out onto the roads! We got there anyway, and it was a lovely afternoon.

Good Sunday morning everyone.

It's a bit hazy but the sun is shining here, and it feels a little less cold. Fingers crossed it doesn't all go downhill as the lawn needs cutting!

Clover - it will be lovely to see your family next week-end - I know you wish they lived closer - but don't over do the getting ready. I always think food is hard when the family visit -a couple of meals are fine, then I always seem to run out of some things and have too much of others!

Plenty to do today, but nothing urgent, so I'll see how the day pans out.


EDIT Gem - our posts crossed again! It sounds as though your throat is very poorly so having a nice quiet/silent day will help. I'm so glad your mum was ok for the birthday party. I think I personally would have come and given her a good talking to if she had spoilt it for you. Sending hugs. x

Out the blue yesterday evening DD announced she will be up to see us this afternoon so I have sent OH to Tesco to pick up some kiddie type nibbles as we don't tend to have that sort of thing in as its usually just me and OH to cater for. Eldest DS is coming for lunch and is stopping over night so we will be busting at the seams in this little flat. Middle DS and DIL won't be up so that's a disappointment , but as there are still 'hostilities' between two DS's so perhaps that's just as well. Families eh?

Good idea to rest that voice Gemini and I hope your sore throat doesn't develop into a cold Daisy.

Very dull here but I don't think it is very cold. Had a lovely time with the family yesterday celebrating GS4's 18th birthday, he had his first legal pint! We drove a long way to the restaurant but the food was amazing. I had smoked haddock on a bed of amazing mashed potato and spinach with a poached egg on top and a sauce. It looked like something from Master Chef.

No plans today, garden look very inviting, will probably watch the boat race.

Grandson's party sounded just the job for a 3 year old.

I have been on the bed dozing and reading, just because I can really! it is the first day since I started to feel unwell that I could do nothing.
I don't think Daisy has a sore throat? I hope not anyway! mine is just head cold type of fuzzy feeling now, and still getting through a few tissues.
