Afternoon ladies yes it’s dark ,dank and chilly here too, visited some friends this morning, ironed this afternoon and picking twins up in 20 mins , mince in the oven for shepherds pie.
Oma it’s so unusual to hear of a couple splitting up and being so kind to one another and being happy in themselves for making that move good luck to them both
I got s list of books to pick my DS wanted might like for Xmas , had it in my mind to buy a voucher from Levi where he buys his shirts now I’m in a quandary the books I don’t know how he makes head or tail of Led Zeppelin, and heavy stuff, so Amazon is getting my money instead 😀

Raining here, went to JL just before lunch to get DS's and GD's Christmas presents. It is a big open store with a gallery looking down to the lower floor. I was just going towards the restaurant across the gallery and there was such a loud crashing noise and when I looked there was a man tumbling from the top of the escalator to the bottom, assistants ran to turn the escalator off. He looked in a bad way, I hope he was okay, I felt quite shocked. I do feel sorry for the assistants at the bottom, I wonder how often it happens. I always use the lift myself. there are only 2 floors and they have another non moving staircase.

Good afternoon all. What a horrible wet and windy day!

I went to town this morning to do some Christmas shopping and to buy myself a new lipstick. I got on well with the Christmas shopping and as for the lipstick......... I brought a new handbag instead..... as you do!

Plant what a horrible accident to witness. I hope the man isn’t as hurt as you feared.

It started off as black as can be and pouring with rain,but it eased off about lunchtime and a watery sun has now struggled out

Of course yesterday’s booked pick up of old IT stuff didn’t happen. After hanging around until mid afternoon I rang the company. A very nice lady said she would contact the collection driver and see what was happening. She rang back with the news that the van was in Cardiff and couldn’t make it to me in Swansea that day and could he come this morning instead? Well I work Tuesday morning so said that wasn’t convenient. I was then told she didn’t know when they could come again.. I was desperate to get the stuff gone so she said the van could come early about 8.30.Though not ideal I agreed. I then had to ring my lady to say I could be late or not able to come at all. I hate letting her down. Anyway in the midst of the pouring rain the van turned up about 8.20. The chap was on his own and some of the stuff was really heavy.I don’t know how he managed. I did help him with the lighter things,getting soaked in the process but I just wanted to get him on his way. In the end I got to work at my usual time.

It’s not my week as my new iron doesn’t work and will have to go back.

I'm glad the IT things got taken in the end Clover, how annoying about the new iron.
That poor man Plant. I have never seen anyone fall on the escalator, but have seen the aftermath. The escalator in M&S was stopped and first aiders were with a lady. They had brought a chair and her leg was raised on it. I think she had damaged varicose veins. I think we should all be careful on escalators whatever our age.

Nasy wet and dismal here. I'm glad to be in for the night now. GS is croaky but OK. I hope it gets no worse.

Rain has started in earnest here after a dry start to the day. It's as 'black as the Earl o' Hell's waistcoat' and cold as well.

Got the parking booked at Stansted for Christmas, so OH will be happy!

Usual Tuesday stuff, yoga and reading at school. Was a Parents Open Afternoon, so we fairly whisked through the reading! Hard to think it's almost the end of term in a few weeks.

Evening just drying out after a drenching picking up the twins no swings for us today , I was flipping frozen when I got in the car 🤨
The twins went upstairs and all my wrapped presents were on the spare bed , M asked what they were so explained they were presents for all the family at Christmas, she felt one or two and asked if they were hers actually they were so I said yes. When mummy came to pick them up from work, schoolbags, water bottles, cardigans, coats, advent calendars x2 M said oh grandma I nearly forgot to take my presents home lol , I had to explain it was 4 weeks away yet 😬
Gosh Plant a nasty accident there, Oma did you hear anymore about the bump outside your house
Weather looks horrendous does for the next few days , hey ho story of our lives. just have to swim in the pool and prop the bar up 😬

No Qwerty Police came and Ambulance to check everyone then they pushed the car onto the grass , Someone came to pick the two people in the car up then everyone left and recovery took the car about 2 hours later , nothing in local paper about it .

Poor M thinking her presents were to take home 😕 just as well they were wrapped though 😊

Went to bed about 10.30 as I was very tired woke at 12 after a very weird dream about the man Plant saw falling down the escalator , it must have been on my mind , in my dream his legs were all wobbly like The Mister men character , He was taking all the steps off the escalator looking for his watch and people were standing in a line passing the steps along the line , No idea where the watch thing came from came

A nasty wet and rainy morning here.
I have Tesco delivery coming this morning. Shopping for us and the two older ladies! I will take the few things my auntie wants round to her this afternoon and see how she is. Mum will get hers tomorrow, as usual.
I may start painting some Christmas rocks too if I have time.
This evening we will dismantle the old 2 seater sofa and get it out into the garage. The new recliner one comes tomorrow
