Sun not out here yet but I think it will break through, very misty atm. I can't decide whether to put old clothes on and do some garden tidying up or not. Rugby is on the agenda later of course. DD is feeling a bit better.

Enjoy your chat and coffee with your DD Gemini

Enfys, I do hope P is feeling a bit better.

Good morning everyone. Finally, the sun is shining here. It's a bit hazy but 100% better than the last few miserable days - made worse by the rest of the country basking in record temperatures!

Gem - wish your DD1 a happy birthday from all us grannies.

Plant - hopefully the sun's come out and you're enjoying a potter round in the garden. Good to hear your DD is recovering.

Mimi - if you're going to throw yourself on the ground and break you glasses it's very smart to do it outside your opticians! Seriously, I hope OH is ok and not too many bruises coming out. Are you doing a special lunch for DS?

Nanto - enjoy your shopping in Sheffield. I hope you come home with something you really wanted.

Clover did you get your washing out yesterday?

Qwerty - I hope you've had a good night's sleep and feel a bit perkier today. You've done a lot of childcare this week, so no wonder you're feeling a bit drained. Sending hugs. xx

Enfys - how is P today?

Oma - awww, your GS1 is such a lovely lad.

We were up early this morning. OH has gone out for the day, chopping wood up. This is big guy stuff with chainsaws and everything - a 60ft ash tree that's been felled. So about half a dozen members of the woodturning club are 'planking' it (no, I don't know what it means, either) and taking it back to one of the member's gardens! I've given our shower room a spring clean this morning! The bleach babes would be proud of me. It's fully tiled so not that hard to clean, but there do seem to be a lot of nooks and crannies for sneaky piles of dust to gather. They have been banished!

At lunch time we've got our monthly dog training walk - it's nice the sun is shining, but we're more likely to be plagued by youngsters kicking balls against the fencing and frightening the dogs!

I hope everyone is enjoying the sun - have a good day.

            Hello everyone.
Hope poorly people and loved ones are feeling better.
We had a sunny start but clouded over a bit now,The wind was very cold on our short walk along the cliffs this morning.
More sorting out for me today.Must clear the car out ready for it’s departure, which by the way I’ve still not organised.
Dear OH has just made coffee with water from the cold tap so I’m hurting a bit at the moment.

Glorious afternoon here now after a grey start to the day. I'm hoping to get out and prune some roses once I've finished with the damn ironing! I'm sure someone adds stuff to the pile when I'm not looking. Washing out on line. Fish pie for tea. OH out somewhere, so I'm skiving!

Plant......glad to hear your DD is feeling better and hope she soon recovers and gets to the bottom of the problem. I'm sure she's lost a lot of faith in the surgeon who mis-diagnosed her problem.

                Clover.....sending you hugs.

Qwerty......if your back is giving you as much jip as mine, you have my sympathy. Didn't realise back pain could make you feel as miserable as it does. Roll on 8th March. Take it easy.

Enfys.....hope that P is feeling a bit better. Nobody tells you how chemo might affect you, but when something happens you're told, Oh yes, that's one of the side effects. Hope too that his scan is clear.

Mimi.....hope your OH is feeling less bruised today. My OH fell down the stairs the other week!! Must be something in the air with men.

Oma......please remember me to Libra next time you chat. I had hoped that a new year might mean an end to her problems, but it doesn't seem so. I think I'd be banging heads about T and her treatment. Hopefully, it'll all get sorted out sooner rather than later.

To all those, I haven't mentioned here, I hope you're all well and have a lovely weekend. x

Clover - Sending you very big hugs, because I think you need them. I know how upset my MIL was when FIL did similar things to the coffee incident. She never complained, but I could see the sadness in her eyes. I wish there was something that could be done to help G. Did you manage to clear out the car? It will be a relief for you when it's gone, I'm sure.

Wee Granny - skiving? It sounds as though you're very busy, washing, ironing (yes, there are evil little gnomes that come and add things to the ironing pile when you're not looking) and organising tea.

Qwerty - I can forgive you for taking your cardigan off yesterday, because today, we've got the sun!!!

OH came home from 'planking' early. He took a trailer load of logs to the friend's garden and the clutch on his car was playing up, so rather than go back to Wimborne he came straight home. He'll have to take his car to the garage on Monday. I think it's going to be expensive.

Had a good day in Sheffield.
it was quite chilly when we set off,but it warmed uo nicely.
Only bought the usual kind of shopping, but it made a change to go to a different town.

It was so warm and sunny again. I was in town and hardly anyone was wearing coat!

I had a nice chat with DD over coffee. Then I went with her to collect GS from drama, and went to look at some of the Viking stuff which is going on.
When I came home OH was still out, having played golf and had lunch with friend. I had my lunch and watched the last episode of Les Miserables. A nice day

                      Daisy, DD will be 43.

Well it’s not been a coats off day here but not too bad.

Daisy and everyone, thanks for your kind words and hugs
Yes Daisy I did clear out the car but inevitably it led to the usual scenario of “ why has the car got to go” “of course I can drive, who said I couldn’t.? .”etc, etc,
I feel sad the car has to go,it’s an old friend and I “ll miss it but I’m more missing the life it used to represent Sad to say I sat in it and had a little cry.

Sorry to be so downbeat. I know I’m not alone.Lots of you have your own worries, health issues and concerns. Also in the wider picture I know hundreds are coping with the same condition as me. I must be grateful for what I do

I spent a bit of time in the garden this afternoon, pruning a shrub I later discovered I shouldn’t have.Wrong time of year! Note to self- consult Google before wielding the secateurs ,not afterwards.

I hope you’ve all had a good day and have a relaxing evening.x

                          Clover,sorry you are feeling down,but i think it's understandable.
You have both had some big changes in your lifes.
                          Ooops about pruning the shrub.

I remember having to hide the car keys long before anyone agreed with me xxx

(((Hugs))) to you, Clover. No wonder you feel sad, it’s hard to cope with all the different changes that life brings.

P still not feeling too good, but is a bit more cheerful today. He gets cross when he sees me doing things that he used to do but I don’t mind, when this chemo is finished he will hopefully be able to tackle more.

i was up early this morning and went for a long walk all across the common and round the park, it was lovely. Very misty but really mild and I think I spoke to more people in that 45 minutes than I have all week! I also made friends with a dear little French bulldog puppy called Arthur, a Bichon Frise called Smudge and a couple of other dogs of unknown pedigree! People are so friendly when they are walking their dogs. I could have taken Dexter but, neing a springer, he does pull and although he’s very good I worry when he’s off the lead. His recall is pretty good but I still worry when I’m on my own. So a lovely morning, then DD came over for coffee and we had a good long chat.

it was glorious weather once the mist cleared and this afternoon I did a fair bit of work in the garden and swept all the drive. Feeling virtuous now and enjoying some chocolate and watching Vikings on Netflix.

Sorry Qwerty, forgot to say hope you feel better soon and the doctor can help.

Clover - you needed that little cry. As you say, it's not just the car going, it all that it has represented, and everything is made doubly hard because G dosen't accept that it's better for him not to drive. By the way - the shrub may well defy the odds and give you a nice show of flowers this year. What was it?

Aggie - that must have been very hard. You need the support of the family at times like that. xx

Enfys - it sounds as though your early morning walk did you good. Have you noticed how you talk to dog walkers and always end up knowing the dog's name and life story but know nothing about the human at the other end of the lead! I think Springer Spaniels are well named, although Dexter sounds very sane and sensible. How much longer is P on this cycle of chemo for? Hopefully the sunshine today helped to cheer him up a bit.
