Morning ladies and yes it’s very early as in 1.30 am and I can’t sleep, I didn’t get on yesterday as I was out early with my Dd doing some retail therapy and we both picked up g/d from school and by the time I left to come home it was 4 pm and the traffic was horrible, I felt shattered when I got home. Now I can’t sleep so must have got worked up with the traffic or was hyper from the shopping
Today the twins are having a sleepover so I do need to get some sleep..
Sorry missed your sisters birthday Plant she sounds very sprightly for her age, hope she had a lovely day
Mimi your neighbour sounds a right one , can you block her out with a big fence, we have some vertical blinds in some rooms they block a lot out
Clover cleaning brass is very hard work, we gave up on ours but if someone else is cleaning them your employer won’t have that worry
Daisy have a super day with family today, the dinner sounds amazing
My sil is a bit off colour these last couple of days, I think it’s withdrawal of working so hard, he seems a bit subdued
Bra extenders as a brilliant invention can’t speak highly enough of them 😀
Sorry Plant your grandson didn’t pass his test but there aren’t many that do first time, fingers crossed for next time
Feeling a bit sleepy now so will put my head down now night night

Good morning.Heavy rain hare.I think it's forecast to rain most of the day.
Shopping in Wakefield today.Plenty of shops to shelter in.

Hope you managed to get some sleep Qwerty.

Good morning all. Very dull and misty here but not cold so,that’s a bonus. Hope you managed to get to sleep eventually Qwerty. Dinner sounds lovely, Daisy, hope it all goes well. Clover, I’ve got lots of brass up in the loft, some lovely copper kettles too bit they take so much cleaning. Mimi, what a pain your neighbour is, honestly some people.

Yesterday we went to the Heart Club; we usually go on a Wednesday but couldn’t this week so thought we’d have a change. I know we were new but we always try to be friendly and speak to people, DH especially. But we were just ignored, I felt it was so cliquey. Even one of the women who, goes to our usual group was there but even she ignored us. Now, I’m no sensitive little snowflake, as they say these days ❄️, but I felt quite annoyed. We were all there for the same reason so I would expect a different attitude. Hey ho, it takes all sorts....mini rant over 🙂

Nothing much happening here today, we have had a busy couple of weeks so going to have a relaxing weekend. DS is going to FaceTime this morning which will be nice.

Have you heard of Men’s Sheds? We read about them a while back and we have just found out that there is a new one starting up near to us so DH is going along next week to see what it’s all about. Another sign he is feeling better.

Have ve a good day everyone 🌞

Good morning, Nanto and everyone. It's dull and misty here. I hope we don't get the rain that's forecast with all the family and dogs here today!

Nanto, enjoy your shopping. If it's too wet you'll just have to stop for extra coffee and cake.

Qwerty - I hope you got to sleep eventually, especially with having the twins for a sleep over tonight. I should think your SIL is feeling a bit lost and uncertain at the moment - it takes time to adjust to a completely different way of life, especially when he's been working so hard for a long time.

I'm not sure when I'll get back on here today - the GSs sleep in my study so my computer will be out of bounds. Have a good day everybody, and be good.

Morning ladies a damp grey day ,
Well I did downstairs during the night washed doors down and kitchen doors dusted through and cleaned downstairs loo , then what does B decide he's doing today ?
He's sanding down the work tops AGAIN as he said they don't feel right or look right !!!
Look and feel fine to me

Anyway now my lovely clean kitchen and dining room is getting steadily dustier, at least this time I have been able to move stuff into the utility out of the way .
This man just likes making more work for me

              Good morning all.
You are all up bright and early for a Saturday morning!
I think it rained all night here, it is very wet out there now.
Packing/cleaning/shopping day here! It is GS1's birthday 2 days after we get back from Canada. I have his present, and have written his card. I want to get the present wrapped too. I suffer badly from jetlag, so want things as easy as possible when I get back!

I hope you got to sleep Qwerty. Enjoy the sleepover tonight, I hope they are good little angels for Grandma
Oh Enfys, how horrible to be ignored like that. It's hard to understand why any group wouldn't welcome and try to make new people feel at their ease I haven't heard of Men's Sheds, but it sounds a good idea.
An indoor shopping trip sounds a good plan Nan2. We are only going to a supermarket so won't get too wet if it starts again.
I hope all goes smoothly today Daisy, and that everyone has a lovely day. We certainly won't expect to see you on here!
              B is sanding obsessed Oma!!

              Happy Saturday everyone!

What a snooty lot Enfys, I am sure it was nothing personal.

Oma, never mind you will enjoy putting it all right after he has finishe

Querty, sorry to hear your Sil is feeling a bit lost, I expect he is missing that adrenaline rush. Hope you get some sleep before you are invaded by the sleepover twins.

Hope your retail shopping went well, did you find any bargains? There was an discussion on the radio yesterday stating that some folks are buying 10 shirts at £2 each, wearing them for a bit then throwing them away, no wonder we are having all this waste to deal with. I think about all those poor people who are paid a pittance for manufacturing them.

Daisy you day sounds lovely, the family all together enjoying your food. I used to love those days, not sure I am up to it now.

Good morning all. I popped out for a breath of fresh air and umbrella and raincoat was called for this morning , its a lot chiller out there !

Qwerty hope you managed to get some sleep.

Enfys what a stuck up lot, can't abide a cliquey group, they always seem to think themselves better than anyone else. I'm sure if I were there we would have become good friends

Oma my OH is like that , waits till every thing is spick and span and then decides that the cupboard in the bedroom needs sorting out and there is a mess every where

Nan2 enjoy your shopping , We are going to town next week to look in a local shop that is run on behalf off you adults with special need. All the items in the shop are made by these young people .They used reclaimed wood, off cuts from a timber yard just outside the county and they make any thing from garden benches to bird tables, wishing wells to door knobs. In fact our wheel barrow and whishing well planter came from there. We are hoping to find a few Christmas presents there. I have in mind a birds nest box or perhaps a planter even some garden seed labels. DD has always enjoyed gardening and now DS and DIL have been bitten by the bug , Apart from anything else its a joy tp go in there just so that I can enjoy the smell of all that wood !!!

Enjoy your day ladies and keep dry

Has been raining since this morning and no sign of it letting up....and it's cold too!
DD just sent me a picture of GS's birthday treat.......he and his friends are sitting in the front row at a football match covered in plastic sheets! I've no doubt they'll have a great time, a just glad I'm not there!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend ladies x

Oma,hope everything is cleaned up again.

After shopping in Wakefield town centre,we went Sainsburys.
I couldn't get all of the things i/we wanted,so ended up going to Wakefield Asda.
Hubby remarked that there were alot more shopping in Asda than in Sainsburys.

                          Good morning everyone.
Brrr frosty here overnight too Nan2. I have cranked the heating up, to keep us and the cats toasty warm!
Pork chops sound good. We are having macaroni cheese for lunch, as we are having a buffet tea at the party, which begins at 5 and by the time we get back and drop mum home on the way it will be too late to cook and eat, even if we are hungry!
This afternoon we will pick up my mum and go to GD's birthday celebration for the family. It is her actual birthday tomorrow, with a friend coming to tea after school, so she is spreading out her celebrations this year , having had her climbing party yesterday.
The main task today is making up the bed and dusting and hoovering the room ready for our cat sitter tomorrow
                          Happy Sunday everyone.

Bright and sunny here and no frost. No idea if it’s chilly, haven’t got that far yet. We are out to lunch today with the family, so no cooking! Looking forward to a jolly day.
DD2 is taking my car as the courtesy car she was given is weeny. It would have suited Noddy and Big Ears better, though I think Big Ears would have struggled too!
                            Enjoy Sunday ladies.
