Daisy I did a lot of research and discovered that Panasonic are well respected brand. They have various models starting at about £89 up to over £200. I bought SD2500 which is the basic model. This doesn’t have the nut dispenser as I didn’t feel it wasn’t worth the additional cost when I could easily open the lid to add them myself! But that’s a personal opinion, the SD2501 has the nut dispenser . We had a machine years ago when they first came out and ended up giving it away as the bread had a distinct flavour......this one produces really tasty bread. I’m still experimenting with ingredients i.e. different quality flour, butter/oil etc. Hope that helps when you replace yours!

It’s a beautiful day here, chilly but glorious sunshine. I’ve lit the wood burner, and am currently sitting by it as hubby is oiling the floor in the hallway he has just decorated and if I need to get to the kitchen I have to go via the French windows and the garden! The smell of the oil is very strong.... the whole of our downstairs apart from kitchen and utility has oak floor, so we only treat one room at a time - it’s a horrible job! It’s a good job it doesn’t need doing too often. I think I’ll take the dog out soon to escape the smell.

Throat is worse today & feeling like my head's stuffed with cotton wool. OH is chocker with cold too. Plant you be careful with your lurgy....it can hit hard. Hope you're better soon.

Enfys, I've never been able to work out how you knit & natter & follow a pattern. If I went I'd just knit a scarf😂🤣 I think I'd just be able to nod or shake my head. Well done you & anyone else able to multitask.

Again sorry not to reply to everyone. Qwerty I hope you enjoyed your meal. Oma what a clever B & J. Mind blowing stuff.

Hope everyone's ok & enjoy what's left of the day

Sun has been shining but it's definitely getting colder. DS says it's cooold in his part of the world too!

Hope all poorly people are soon better and that everyone has an enjoyable rest of the day.

Oh dear Nana, you and Plant both on the poorly list!

We did lots at mum's and had a good chat with her. She was very grateful.

Plant and Nana - perhaps this time of year should be called the lurgy season, there seems to be a lot about. Take care, both of you - plenty of rest and plenty of fluids.

Enfys - hasn't the sun been fantastic today and the sky pure blue! Did you get yours leaves swept up?

We took Eva for her run in the paddock and when we got out of the car we were nearly blown off our feet. It was really calm at home and blowing a gale 3 miles away! But I managed to get the lawn cut when we got back, and then spent ages prepping dog food. By the time it came to getting our dinner I was shattered. I'm not looking forward to the cold weather forecast for the next 3 days.

Clover - I hope you've had a lovely day with your DS, and some good chat as well as help with what you needed. Sending hugs. xx

Nanto - thank you - I didn't get round to making a chicken and veg pie today, but if I shall try and prepare for it tomorrow to have on Tuesday.

Qwerty, I hope you and the family have had a lovely time. Not long now to your big 5-0.

Gem - I'm going to have an early night! Monday seems to come round very quickly, although it always seems ages since I've seen the GCs.

Avo - many thanks for the information on your bread maker. My current one is a Panasonic and It has been brilliant and makes delicious bread, so I think I'll be looking at one like yours to replace it. Mostly for every day use I make 50/50 white and wholemeal flour and often add seeds or a little bran to ring the changes, but OH's favourite is the cinnamon and raisin recipe! I bet your hall floor looks lovely! We've got parquet flooring downstairs and we'll have to treat that when the decorators have finished. I think we might have a runner to protect the first part of the hall - it's an L-shape and one half gets much more wear than the other.

Good morning Nan2 and everyone else.

Friends visiting is a good start to the week Nan2

This morning I will do reflexology for OH as we didn't get round to it yesterday. More reflexology this afternoon when I go to my client. In between I think we are popping to Home Bargains and maybe a couple of other places.

I hope Plant, Nana and anyone else under the weather is feeling better today.

When I had the 2 youngest GS's I used to make pittas using my bread machine, they were so much nicer than the shop ones and froze well.

Had a bad night, throat very sore, joints aching, not sure what it is, some sort of virus. DD came in this morning to see if I was okay as there will be no one next door. I have several errands I need to do but they can wait.
