Good morning all .Its a cold one out there today. We have just harvested some of our potatoes we planted for Christmas . We have three large planters so we thought we would try one now . We plan to keep one planter untouched until the festive season . We are having the potatoes we picked with lamb shanks for lunch.
      Oh, before I forget
just doing as I am told regarding the e-mail .

I was never a huge fan of jelly OH still loves the stuff . He has been bitterly disappointed when GC have come to stay in a hope there would be jelly for tea but all 4 of them have declined to try it .

Grauntie was it a smart car ? There are a couple who live down the road who have a smart car , to me it always looks as if some one has sawn a car in half leaving the front bit to drive around in.

      Have a relaxing Sunday ladies
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

No frost here, lovely and sunny. My sister rang as I was getting up, wanted to thank me for the lovely flowers and told me about her lovely but exhausting birthday. Flowers everywhere, lots of visitors and lots of cakes, she had a lovely day but was exhausted. Still expecting visitors today, wish I felt like driving that far. We had a long chat so here I am only just had breakfast and not dressed, she is having a pyjama day. Might try and get in the garden later.

We have a Dunelm quite close, Oma, I love their bedding.

Enjoy your walk Clover, I don't remember having any birthday parties but do remember going to one and we had to eat bread and butter with the jelly and blancmange as it was thought to be too rich for us.

Afternoon all a busy weekend of games, arts and crafts made 4 puppets out of toilet rolls and then had a show 😬 iPad viewing etc etc tired now and about to take them home mows as I feel a nanba nap coming in. It’s the first time in 4 yrs the kids have woke up in the night we have been playing musical beds , we went to bed at 11 last night peeped in on them and J was sat up with head in his hands lol, so he came in the spare bed with me, 2 am she was shouting grandma she must have been disoriented as she was trying to open the bedroom door but in fact it was the wardrobe door , so she went with us in spare room, it’s not a comfy bed so at 4 am we all traipsed back into my own bed as we were shuffling about , and seeing as I had a poor night the night before I am more than tired
Very frosty here this morning , heating on full pelt
Gem hope you enjoy the party Happy birthday to T for tomorrow, taking the cherubs home now 🙋‍♀️

All the frost went and it is a nice day now.

Mimi, it's good to know someone reads the emails! (and obeys )
I bet you sleep well tonight Qwerty!!
Plant, my mum was happy but tired after her 90th birthday celebrations too. Pyjama day is a very good idea for your sister today.
I had a party at home every year during my childhood. Strangely enough, as I love food, I have no memory at all of what we ate!
Oma, B must love his cushion to wear them out so quickly!

I saw on FB that my granddaughter, whose party we are going to soon, got her next karate belt this morning, 7th kyu, whatever that means

Good afternoon, ladies. I'm slowly catching up -

Enfys, I do apologise I didn't see your post about the unfriendly people at the gym until I'd posted. What miseries they were. It's their loss if they didn't try and make friends with you!

Oma - has B finished sanding the worktops? If he's got spare time and still has the urge our utility room work tops need sanding and sealing very badly, and I won't complain about the dust!! I know when to appreciate a good sanding man!!

Nanto - two supermarkets in one day! You are brave, but at least you got what you wanted.

WeeGranny - those lads must be keen football fans to sit there in the rain.

Mimi - the shop fun by the special needs youngsters sounds lovely and I'm sure you will find something a bit different from the usual run of the mill. Mmmm, lovely potatoes - enjoy!

Plant - I often think that it's ok buying these super-cheap clothes like those t-shirts, but they don't last long and it all add to our throw-away society. I'm glad your sister enjoyed her Big Birthday.

Grauntie - enjoy your lunch with the family - is it a celebration?

Clover- I hope it's warmed up for your walk.

Qwerty - I hope when you get home you can relax and have a nana nap - it sounds as though you need it after your night of musical beds and no sleep the previous night.

Gem - what a busy time for you. I'll catch up with your GD's birthday celebrations on her climbing thread, but well done to her on her 7th kyu (I don't know what it is etiher, but it sounds like a Grading in Judo.

It's beautifully sunny here, and warm in a sheltered area. I'll write about our family day in my Journal.

The little red car is an Aygo apparently. Watching my 6’7” 18 stone SiL unfold himself to get out was very funny.😂 Hopefully they will have a more comfortable journey home.
Lunch was most enjoyable Daisy. Yes it is an early birthday celebration for me as I will be away next weekend. DD1 made a delicious cake with a scrabble theme. Plant, I’ll save you a piece. 😆

Grauntie - I laughed out loud at the image of your SIL getting out of the tiny car!

I'm glad you enjoyed your early birthday lunch. Did you blow out all your candles in one go?

I've had a lazy afternoon and am planning an early night - tomorrow it's back to the routine of Manic Monday and Tired-out Tuesday!

                    Sleep well everyone.

We had a lovely party for GD. Our family (minus the Canada goers) pus DD's 2 best friends and their children . One has girls of 11 and 8, and the other 16 month old twin girls.
They were all very good, and the 3 youngest, the twins and my GS2, very entertaining GD has a massive pile of presents to open tomorrow, before and after school! My mum enjoyed herself and we left her at home very tired!

Good morning, Nanto. Yes, definitely warmer this morning, it would be nice if it was sunny later as well!

An early start for me to go and collect Cooper. Apparently he was very tired yesterday after his busy day with Eva and Bailey on Saturday, but I'm sure he'll be fully recovered by now and raring to go!! Then back later to pick the girls up from school. GD2 was very upset not being able to go 3 days last week with her ear infection, so I'm sure she'll be pleased to be back today.

I'm sure Gem will be busy with those last minute jobs before setting off on her Canadian adventure.

                            Have a good day everyone.

                              Good morning everyone.

Have a fab time in Vegas Nan2, I will look for you waving
                              Enjoy your busy day Daisy.

We hope to leave here around midday. We will go to mums on the way as there were 3 audio books on her reserved list 'in transit' on Saturday, which should arrive around 11 this morning.
Just finishing our packing and quick hoover round to do before we go. Oh, and online check in can be done 24 hours before we fly so I will do that at home so I can print off the boarding passes.

                              Have a good day everyone.

                                Morning ladies ,

Gem safe journey we will miss you lots xxx

Daisy im not surprised Cooper was tired that was quite a day for you all , im so pleased to hear your lovely Beef cooked to perfection , love those big family get togethers , sadly we don't have the room or energy to have lots of people around now

Enfys how is P ? is it today he goes along to the Man shed thing x

Nanto are you all ready for your big trip or have you still things to get ,

Mimi did you buy anything from the shop where people with special needs make things ?
We called into a new Cancer research shop that has just opened Yesterday ,everything was £3 or under , didn't buy anything but put some money in the donations box , had some lovely things in well displayed too but sadly nothing I needed , lots of people in though buying so looks like its doing well .

Nothing much to do today , Dog in garden B just sucked up the falling leaves again , it will be just as bad by lunch time but it keeps on top of them
Think hes doing the other work top today , so will be able to make sure everything is cleared into the utility before he starts this time ,
Trouble is once its sanded the oil to seal has to have several coats and the smell gives me a headache , I had a terrible headache yesterday when we went to meet friends but a bit fresh air helped .

Have a good day ladies xxx
