Oma, your poor niece, she must be in a lot of pain. I think any surgery is worse if you're at the end of the day's list, but I do hope they've given her something to help. As Gem, says, it's important to do all the physio exercises they give you. I bet your DD has got another pair of flip flops just like those she was wearing. I'm sorry to hear has started with another cold. He must be fed up with them.

Gem, was the hair appointment just a trim? It always feels better after being cut, even if it just half an inch off! I hope GS2's first couple of days at school have gone well. It will be nice for him to have his big cousin's company this afternoon.

Nanto, I hope you're ok. I can't see a post from you this morning, unless I've just missed it. If so, my apologies. xx

True it's rare to see no morning post from Nan2! Hopefully she's just busy.

No GS1 today! DD messaged to say he would like to go to his dad's, where he is in the process of something on his pc there. He will be with me on Sunday anyway, so we will see plenty of each other It's good he's wanting to be at his dad's too.
I hadn't mentioned to DD2 that he was coming so hopefully GS2 won't be expecting to see his cousin today.

Still no Nanto, that's a worry it's not like her is it.

Niece rang my other niece this morning as she was going in to see her she wanted her to take some food in
My Niece is a Vegan and there was no vegan options on the menu for breakfast or lunch.
She had a slice of dry toast for breakfast.
It did say on the menu Almond milk and fruit but they had none.
They offered her a plate of mashed potatoes and carrots for lunch that was it.

She doesn't expect special treatment she's not like Vegans who constantly tell you they are Vegans, but there must be other patients with dietary requirements they have to cater for.

It took a while to get back to my laptop.

I went down to our local hospital this morning to try and get a blood test - all booked up online and there is now no phone option. A friend had mentioned there is a sort of walk in service, and there was an appointment for 10.30. This was just before 9 am. So we went for a cup of tea and when we got back the phlebotomist called me in. She was so helpful, and said the walk-in appointments are for urgent tests and apparently I qualify as urgent. I think this is because the Consultant needs the results before speaking to me on Tuesday.

I knew that DIL1's dog, Bailey, was at the vets undergoing tests today. Sadly, it's bad news. DIL is very upset, as you can imagine. In just over a year she's lost her OH (my DS1) and her Dad and now Bailey has very little time left. GS2 is currently abroad on holiday, so the vet has suggested Bailey has steroids which will keep him comfortable for a couple of weeks so GS2 will be home before that sad goodbye. She will tell GS1 when he gets home from work tonight.

I hope all is well with Nanto, unusual for her not to post first. I went and got the car washed and cleaned late morning, came home and promptly fell fast asleep. Still not feeling great, sure it is the tablets for the urine infection. DD has encouraged me to keep taking them. Took a sample to the surgery yesterday morning, haven’t heard anything.

Plant, sorry our posts crossed. I think DD is right to encourage you to keep taking the tablets, but it might be worth double checking with the doctor. I hope you get the results of the sample soon, but suppose it might be Monday now. Take care. xxx

Meeting up with DS2 then will go to see DIL at work. They go away tomorrow for their anniversary.
