Oma, your house must be the cleanest house inside and out on your estate. Must check our sofites, being a bungalow, easily reached. Pleased to hear B is feeling a bit better.

Daisy, I hope the hospital doesn’t stress you too much. Your OH is standing up very well to the task of keeping the home fires burning, if not the garden plants.

Gemini, GS 2 will enjoy his morning in the library with you. Enjoy your meal with friend.

H back to nursery this morning. Her parents have bought her a smallish trampoline, she loves it. DD and Sil will be back late tomorrow.

Nanto, Good luck with the tomatoes, they taste so different to the shop ones. I can’t cope with growing anything in the greenhouse now. What varieties does he grow?

Plant, at the moment he's got Sun Baby and Moneymaker.
Sun Baby are yellow ones. To me i always think tomatoes should be red.
Hubby goes for taste,i go for the colour.

Oma, after hubby got home,we had to nip out. When we got back it was still sunny, but there was a big black cloud in the distance.
But, we decided to start on the garden. Had about 3 spots of rain, thats all,but its all done now.
      Sun is shining again now.

Hallo everyone, at last I have felt better today, I must be over the worse of whatever I had. The man next door cheered me up though, telling me that I look ill.

It has been a lovely day, I have just been to the other side of the village to the podiatrist, I was right about my leg! He said " you must know your body", I thought after all these years I have an idea of how I work! I am leaning too far over on my right foot, that is what I thought, he has done all the scans etc etc and I can pick my new soles up next Tuesday. He was telling me has to do some schooling, he told me last time, this is for 2 years to get his certificate updated to let him keep working for the insurances. He is 65 years old and said he hopes to get a couple of more years in as there is a huge shortage of podiatrists. He said the only thing with the schooling is that they have to learn things he wouldn't have time to do in his work. Medical pedicure is one of them.

Gem, have a good meal out.

Daisy, I hope that all has gone well.

Oma, I'm pleased to hear B is fancying strawberry gateau, so he must be feeling better. That bramble preserve will be delicious - it's not something you see often and bramble jam I think is tasteless.

Plant, what fun H will have on her trampoline, and great for burning off some energy.

Nanto, well done on getting your lawn cut. I used to grow Moneymaker as well and they were always very reliable. I also liked Sungold for yellow tomatoes but my favourites were the huge beefsteak ones. They always remind me of the amazing tomatoes you get in Provence, and towards the end of May I used to plant them outdoors - they seemed to do better than in the greenhouse.

Lizzie, some people always seem to be able to say the wrong thing, don't they! Will your new insoles help to stop the pain in your leg? Thank goodness, though, that you are feeling better at last.

Gem, I hope your busy day has gone to plan.

I'll write about my day in YEO.

Lizzie good to hear your feeling better,
There seems to be a shortage of professionals everywhere isn't there.

              Plant
I bet H loves the trampoline it will burn a little energy off😁
My boys loved their trampoline for about 4 weeks, they used it everyday, then it was used for the dog to shade under in the summer 😁
They didn't even notice when we got rid of it

Did the gardener get the boarders sorted ?

                Good morning. Sun is shining

Lizzie, good to hear you are feeling better.

Plant, hope H is liking her trampoline.
The two children that live across from us,spend hours on theirs.

Daisy, many many years ago, my grandad always grew Moneymakers, maybe that's why I prefer them. He would have the odd ailsa Craig and Shirley.

No cooking, four of us are out for a pub meal today.

                  Good morning everyone

Nan2 my OH grows tomatoes every year. I can't remember the type she prefers. Enjoy the meal!

Plant we had small trampoline for DD3. She loved it then we gave it to the little girl next door, who also loved it

Daisy, what a day for you Hospitals are draining enough without tedious long waits like that.

So glad you are feeling better now Lizzie.

Did B enjoy the cream cake Oma?

I had a good chat with my friend and a nice meal. GS2 was polite and friendly and I was proud of him DD turned up for him about 10 minutes later.
Aqua morning and I think all three friends will be there. This afternoon is my monthly sports massage.

Hope you have a good meal out are you going anywhere special?

We went to Lidl and B&M this morning
B has the dentist at 1.30 then a telephone consultation with his Liver consultant at 3.30.

I really should do the windows but I'm feeling tired today , didn't get a good sleep and my hip is hurting .
I will see how I feel after lunch .

Good St George's Day morning, everyone.

(I'm not sure why the English don't celebrate their saint's day in the same way as Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales, so this is my small contribution!)

Nanto, Moneymaker are the most reliable tomatoes I've ever grown - None of the other well-known varieties came close, although I know lots of gardeners swear by Shirley, Ailsa Craig etc. Enjoy your pub lunch.

Gem, GS2 is polite and friendly because he's got a close, loving family who lead by example. But, I agree, you should feel proud of them when they show good social skills and perfect manners. A good day for you today with Aqua and your monthly massage. What a nice evening you had with your friend yesterday.

Oma, poor you, you do sound tired. I hope you're taking it easy and the windows can and will wait for a better day. I hope B is just going to the dentist for a check-up, and the Liver Consultant is happy with him as well.

I'm still not sure what's happening today. OH has got one of his car pals here doing something in the garage. I haven't heard anything from the hospital - whether I need to go for an injection or not, so fingers crossed yesterday's results were ok. Our GS2 is 50 today - where on earth did those years go! All being well, we'll go over to see him and take his presents about tea time, and we've had a chat this morning. He's celebrating by potting on a load of seedlings at the moment! We'll arrange a family celebrations when DIL1 and GSs are back from holiday.

My OH used to grow Moneymaker in the greenhouse but always watered them with rainwater as our water always tasted of cholrine.

Oma, I am sure the windows can wait. I used to be similar to you, certain things had to be done but I am now accepting I can’t be as fussy. DD and sil due back later today, GD has just taken H to nursery school, then she has to get tidying.

Daisy, I hope you DS has a good birthday. Pleased that you haven’t heard from the hospital.

Happy 50th to your DS when did we become old enough to have children who are in their 50s now. 🤔

I have cleaned the windows and the mirrors, I couldn't stand looking at the drool from Storm on the patio windows and if I was doing them I thought I may as well do them all .

B having a filling his teeth are dreadfully fragile now , he always had lovely straight white teeth,
After years of chemo they are discoloured and not great.

It will be nice to have the family back although I'm sure GD and H have been great company.
I dare say I will slow down as I get older and like you accept I haven't the strength or the energy anymore.

I went to post GDs Birthday card at the post office , I posted that and asked for 10 2nd class stamps
                              £8.70 😱 shocking the price , 1st class is £1.70 .

Oma, poor B. He's done so well with his recovery but it takes its toll, doesn't it. I hope it was just a small filling. I know what you mean about drool on the patio windows. Eva and Cooper seem to compete with spreading as much round as possible on our living room door which has narrow glass panels, and it's the first thing you see when you come in through the front door! Unfortunately the high price of stamps deters lots of people from sending cards, and you can't blame them.
