    Morning ladies,
It's nice and bright but not as warm.

    Gem
I like Aldi's blueberries as well I bought some from Sainsbury's a few weeks ago and although plump they were tasteless and watery.
Hope S has a good trip,
Let us know what you think of the film.

I want to go see the new Downton abbey one but will have to wait till DD gets back as I won't leave the dog that long.

    Nanto
I have a washer load on at the moment, mainly towels and tea towels , it seems never ending the amount of towels we go through in a week.

Meeting the family and friends this morning,
Then I have to go to Aldi for MILs bacon,
I took one on Friday but she wants another and some little potatoes.

She rang yesterday asking what I had done with her potatoes,
I said you picked them up and put them back,
So you didn't get any and I asked if you were sure, she couldn't remember,
I said to B it's her short term memory that's the problem .

She then rang his sister to ask if she knew where they were, luckily I had already text her to warn her 😔

Enjoy your day ladies whatever you are doing.

A mixture of sun and showers here. I am feeling a bit rough, I have cystitis. Managed to get some treatment from the pharmacy, just 3 days treatment. I dont know which is worst, the infection or the jollop one has to swallow. My Dil has just rung, GS3 is home and he wants to see his GM. They are only 20 mins away so Dil is going to drive him over. He always wants to see his GM when he is home.

Oma, your Mil’s short term memory is a problem but is worse if Mil doesn’t admit to it.

Gemini, Enjoy your trip to the cinema.

Nanto, We had heated car seats in our last car but I haven’t got them in my present car which will most likely be my last car, GD1 uses it more than I do.

          Happy Sunday, everyone.

Nanto, what a lovely cheery graphic. Did your hubby get anything at the car boot sale? Chickens and foxes never turn out well for the chickens, do they.

Gem, it feels cooler here too. It's windy and showery as well. I put the load of washing out that I gave up on yesterday, and it rained again. I've given up now. The next lot, towels etc went straight in the dryer. I hope S has had a good journey to the golf break, and the weather is kind to them. Enjoy your film this afternoon.

Oma, your MIL and her shopping! It's difficult though if she doesn't recognise that her short-term memory isn't so good. It's a good job you messaged your sister-in-law.

Plant, poor you. Cystitis is such a nuisance. I hope the treatment from the pharmacy helps. It will cheer you up seeing your lovely GS3. Is he there for the week-end?

It's pretty quiet here today, but I've got a few chores done. I'm in the mood to try and catch up on odd jobs I've been putting off, like the ironing, and a bit of sewing - just repairs, buttons etc. OH cooked gammon steaks with mustard mash and veggies for lunch, and I need to make some bread. I'll take Eva out earlier tonight, hopefully while it's still daylight.

Plant, hope the cystitis clears up quickly.

Been very windy, well it still is,but it dried the washing quickly.
            All ironed and put away.

I've got a double oven, neither of which has been used since Christmas.
Cleaned them both out,its surprising how dusty they get.

Oma, i hope you got the right bacon and potatoes.

              Good morning.
Its the start of a new month.

No plans for us as yet.

Dinner is baby potatoes, cod in breadcrumbs, mixed veg and parsley sauce.

                Morning Nanto, Ladies.

Need to go pick some bits up for MIL we didn't get yesterday.
                Then take them over.
It's unsure weatherwise what it wants to do , one minute then sun is out the next it's cloudy.

                Plant
How do you feel this morning? Cystitis is so uncomfortable, hope the meds work fast.

                Nanto
That's a very nice graphic for the first day of September 😁

                Daisy
Did you get your sewing done? I know you hate sewing but sometimes needs must 😁

                Gem
Have you heard from S ? I hope the weather stays good for them.
What was the film like ?

Good morning Nan2, Oma and everyone.

                  Poor Plant, cystitis is miserable.

Oma, yes they had a good round of golf and nice meal yesterday. Playing again today and home late afternoon.

Nan2 my DD2 has a double oven and my OH envies it for times we have a lot of family round. Most of the time we wouldn't need it however, especially now we have the air fryer

It sounded as though you did a lot yesterday Daisy.

I did enjoy the film yesterday, sort of! Very good cast with Olivia Coleman and Benedict Cumberbatch starring. A lot of it was good and it kept me entertained for a couple of hours. However FAR too much use of the F word plus the C word a few times. I must be getting old, but I really cant see the need to use that language constantly! It never sounds right from Olivia Coleman either!

Aqua this morning. I will be picking up my friend, hopefully for the last time. She goes to New York to see her son on Wednesday and her car should be ready by the time she is back.
I will stay for coffee. Opticians this afternoon. They have been nagging me to make an appointment for ages.
OH will be back at some point! I imagine late afternoon.

B got a call from Drs while we were out , has to see him at 10 ,
His bloods came back , his kidneys function has dropped to 18% , another 3% and he will be in kidney failure.
We suspect the osteopetrosis drug they put him on , they did say it could happen plus the bad water infection he's just had.
See what the Dr has to say, no doubt different drugs to preserve them 🙄

Good Monday morning everyone. How come it's September already!

Nanto, do your make your own parsley sauce? One of the things I like about any fish is the choice of sauces and I love parsley sauce.

Gem, your friend has been without her car for a long time, but she must be grateful for all the lifts you've given her. Is it just a routine eye test at the opticians? They always seem to result in a big bill for new glasses, don't they. I'm pleased to hear S is enjoying the golf.

Oma, what a worry getting a call like that. I hope it is just the osteoporosis drug he's on and that can be changed. Fingers crossed that the decline can be reversed. xxx

No particular plans for us today, apart from OH going to a meeting this evening. We've got GDs 1 and 2 for a sleepover again tomorrow and Wednesday, so I want to get odds and ends done today, and we've got more plums so oH says he'll make jam.

Well Dr said to stop the meds immediately,
Another blood test and again in two weeks then see the kidney consultant in 3 weeks,
Just have to keep our fingers crossed they recover some of the function lost.

Been to MILs just got home and as we were getting out of the car the heavens opened,
It's absolutely belting down with rain .

                        Daisy
When are the girls back at school? I think all of ours go back next Monday,
Not having little ones now we are out of the loop.

Oma, So sorry to hear B has had a reaction from the drug prescribed, I hope the medics can sort it out quickly
The heavens have just open here with thunder, haven’t noticed any lightning.

Daisy, last of the plums picked yesterday, We have frozen quite a few and DD has made a lot of crumbles too. Had a visit from my lovely GS yesterday, he always comes to see me when he is home. (The one you met). Only about 5 weeks before my new GGSis due, saw GD yesterday too, she is quite large now and lots of movement, it fascinates H.

Gemini, was the swearing in the film necessary to the story? Pleased to hear S is keeping well.

I belong to a National Trust group and I have just received the menu for the Christmas lunch!

Oh dear Oma, poor B has had SO much to contend with A worry for you both. Fingers crossed they can retain function xx

Daisy my friend had been without her car for so many weeks now! They said two weeks initially.

Plant, no, there really was no need for so much swearing in the film.

Children are back at school this week here Oma. I'm not sure what day, but I know I am picking up GS2 as normal on Friday.
It has rained torrentially here this afternoon too. Now the sun is shining brightly however. I may risk hanging my swimsuit out!

Just a eye check Daisy. My prescription has hardly changed, but I wanted more glasses, as I am fed up with the varifocals and am going back to the cheaper option of distance. I can continue to use my varifocals of course, and may use those for driving and my new ones for TV, cinema etc. I dislike going to the opticians, so am glad that is done with for a couple of years!

Oma, I hope B's kidneys are ok after the problem with that drug. Has he been given any advice on what might help to restore function? I know you must be worried, and have everything crossed for a good blood test in two weeks. Well done on missing the heavy rain. How was MIL? Both our GDs go back to school on Thursday.

Plant, it's been a good plum harvest, hasn't it. I think your GS3 comes home specially to see his Gran, Plant. He's such a lovely young man. I hope he's enjoying life in London. How exciting, 5 weeks to the new baby. It seems a bit early to be thinking about Christmas lunches, but I suppose they have to get organised. I agree, there's far too much bad language in the media generally. It's not necessary and normalises it for youngsters.

Gem, we've had a few heavy downpours as well. I know the garden is grateful, and the pond has filled up again, but it's making it hard to keep up with the washing. (You can't please some people, can you!). I've just changed to single vision glasses, although I still have varifocals as well. I hate going too, and always find it hard to decide which of two views is "better"!

I've had a fairly relaxed afternoon after two busy days. OH is out tonight, and I'm just relaxing!

Good morning, Oma, I do hope that all goes well for B!

You have all had the heavy rain, we have had a few drops now and again, I expect it will come, maybe today, just looked at the forecast, it will be tomorrow!

DS1 and family arrived home at 8am yesterday, now to fight the jet lag, the girls will be back at school/college today so I hope they have been able to get a good nights sleep.

Gem, I don't like the bad language at any time, I have have been able to understand why? DS1 told me to watch something on Netflix, I was done with it after the first 10 minutes!!

                                Gem, I love my variofocals.

Plant, you must be pleased with so many plums this year, then the fact that you get to see the GC so often. Has the cystitis cleared?

I took M from next door to pick her car up from the garage yesterday afternoon, it had been for the MOT, it isn't far but she isn't much of a walker so I offered to take her. If it is dry this morning I am taking the other neighbour for coffee and her apple pie to the orchard I went to at a care home, it has to be dry though, according to the forecast it will be. We walked to the village last week, her treat, she is walking badly though, half way there she told me she had a walker? I asked why she hadn't taken it with her, she said she never thought about it.

I was going for a bike ride yesterday afternoon, then I offered to take M for the car so I sorted my wardrobe instead!

I will get myself ready for my early morning workout! It is still dark!
