I think everyone was taking advantage of the sun yesterday, at least you got the pencils sharpened,

We are having a cupper then going to the big Asda in the next town .

B was down the beach at 5.30am with his drone ,
He said the world and his wife was there it was so packed.
    Even families with small children.

The Dolphins put on a good display at sun rise so lots waiting to see them

      Hello everyone.

Oma, fancy so many people being down at the beach early.

Nan2, lovely dinner but hot to cook!

I have had my aqua class but couldn't stay for coffee as it's GS2 day. OH stood in until I got back

It's so hot! I don't really feel doing anything much. I would have been happy to go to the cool cinema but GS doesn't fancy it.

        Oh my goodness it's hot,
We went to Asda B got 6 t-shirts, in the sale and I got two pairs of PJ bottoms and two PJ tops in cotton, all in the sale ,
Then walking around the food hall we bumper into my oldest niece ,
Haven't seen her for ages so lots of hugs and kisses and more hugs 🤗
It made my day I have to admit.

After lunch We were trying to keep cool as it's so hot ,
When Bs sister phoned to say MIL coming home hopefully tomorrow so can we pick her up,
But can we go get some shopping and her bacon from Morrisons first.

So off we went in this awful heat ,
But at least we have it now just milk to get in the morning as they didn't have the small bottles in , she can't lift the bigger ones so I will call in Sainsbury's in the morning.

God help us if they change their minds , getting out depends on if her oxygen has been stable for 24 hours ,
They were supposed to test her at 2.30 so far we haven't heard so we think she may be ok.

I have just heard that GD1 is on her way to Croatia alone!! Her BF has lost his ID card, they went to the town hall for an emergency one, got to the airport and the system wasn't working!!! DIL took them, at first she didn't think it was a good idea for her to travel alone, but, then agreed she should go, now BF has to sort his ID out tomorrow and book another flight either Friday or Saturday morning so she will only be there on her own for 2 days, she will cope. I will try not to worry!!!!!

I have read all your posts but am feeling too tired after a very busy day with GC to reply apart from sending hugs

Poor lad he must be gutted but at least he can get it sorted in a day or two,
I'm sure your GD will keep herself safe till he joins her.

I have just seen she has landed Oma, she will be fine, I just hope that BF can get a flight booked.

It is hot here as well, 30+, yet again!

Its been and still is very warm.

Lizzie, glad GD has arrived safely. hope boyfriend can get on a flight.

It wasn't too bad cooking the roast dinner. Beef was cooked in the slow cooker.
Potatoes and veg were done in the air fryer, and the yorkshire puddings as well.
Not too warm, like it would have been if i'd used the main oven.
Everyone enjoyed it. We had black forest gateau and cream for pudding.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

It rained briefly here this morning. It feels close though now and we have 3 stinky dogs (2 on holiday) so I think it may storm.

I'm just a tad late dropping in to Chat today!! It's been non-stop all day.

Nanto, doing the roast dinner your way certainly would have kept the kitchen cooler, and I'm sure you all enjoyed it.

Oma, at 5.30 in the morning you'd expect the beach to be deserted, but it must be quite a sight to see the dolphins, though. Did B manage to use his drone? Yay, at last he's got his t-shirts, and PJs. Feast or famine, isn't it. Still I'm glad he's now kitted out for day and night time. You must have been so pleased to see your niece. I'm sure you didn't feel like going out again to do MIL's shopping, but it's done now. I do hope she is able to be discharged tomorrow.

Lizzie, your poor GD1 and her BF! What a disappointing start to their holiday. Technology is ok until it fails, then there's often no way round it. Your GD is very sensible so I'm sure she will be ok on her own until her BF arrives, but I agree, you can't help worrying a bit as well.

Gem, it's a pity GS2 didn't fancy the cinema, but I hope you managed to keep in the shade. The holidays seem to be going very quickly, don't they.

Plant, a day with the GCs is exhausting. I hope you have been putting your feet up and resting. It's so easy to overdo things, but we pay for it later! xx

OH's eye appointment was quite quick this morning. He didn't need an injection, thank goodness, but the nurse who did the eye test was a bit heavy-handed with the drops, so much so that they fluid was running down OH's face. It left his eyes very sore. We were home by 10.30, which was good as we'd left Eva on her own. Fortunately I was feeling ok and able to drive back. By the time we'd had coffee OH was ready for a sleep - the "just resting my eyes" sort of sleep in front of the telly. But his eyes did look very red and painful. I gave DS2 a ring to catch up on a few things, and by then it was lunch-time.

Our heatwave disappeared today. There was heavy grey cloud and even a couple of short showers. I managed to get some gardening done and then had to go to Lymington to collect new glasses. While I was there I did a bit of shopping - birthday cards and a few other bits and pieces. By the time I got back OH was ready for a cup of tea. I did a bit more in the garden and picked the ripe tomatoes, fed Eva and then got dinner. I've just got back from walking Eva and am very glad to have a sit down! Definitely an early night for me tonight.

I can go to bed now, GD1 has arrived in her Airbnb ! She phoned me to tell me that she had arrived said that she had a very friendly Uber driver, he told her the nearest supermarket etc. The other good news is that BF has a flight booked for tomorrow from Brussels , he will go by train.

DIL said "I am so proud of her"!!! GD1 could have said she wasn't going on her own, luckily is should all work out fine.

Lizzie. That's good news - you can sleep peacefully now tonight without worrying (too much) about GD2. Thank goodness as well that her BF can travel tomorrow - safe journey to him.
