Plant, similar scenario here. Each time I sat down to come and say 'hello' something happened! I'm currently waiting for a Sainsbury's order to arrive, but they've just texted to say they are running late.

I had a blood test this morning - booked for 10.40. We got there early and were back home before 10.40! We're so lucky to have this local hospital instead of having to go to the General.

Gem, the digger adventure looks great fun. Our GSs loved the similar place in Kent when they were younger, and I suspect GS1 would jump at the chance of going again even now! I'm glad they all enjoyed it.

Oma, I hope James is feeling better now. It must have been very scary, and of course worrying. Is he going to the doctor's for a check up? Has B found the perfect t-shirt yet? Hopefully you won't have to wait long at the hospital and all will be ok.

Nanto, the paint should dry ok today if your hubby has been able to spray the gate. Did you have bacon?

Plant, I hope it's not too warm for you today. It's 27C here and rising. Take care. Your DD and SIL are making the most of their property in France, and at least they should have had a smooth crossing today. Did they go from Poole?

      Welcome home Daisy.
Yes, its been calm enough for hubby to do his spraying.
We did have bacon, with baby potatoes done in the air fryer and cauliflower cheese done in the microwave.

Been very warm here.Earlier i went out to sweep the pavement outside our house.
We live in a corner house and our pavement is long. I was sweltered wheni had finished.

Hallo everyone, very warm here as well, I just looked at the forecast for Zadar, GD1 and BF go there on Wednesday, very hot!!!

GD2 had a fantastic time at the kite surfing camp, she was showing me photo's and films yesterday, she really learned a lot in the week and had such a good time. She has received a certificate, she just needs to get a few more things learned then she can "fly" world wide!! She was telling me all that they had done, not only the kite surfing.

I had a panic yesterday, I decided to print my booking details out from P&O, no way could I get into my account, or contact anyone, I tried again today, no luck, I told DS1 when I called in to take something for GD1, easy going M said " don't panic mother, you have 5 more weeks"! I came home and finally got to speak to a living person!!!! He had a laugh, he said the site is being re-newed and the bookings will be available in my account probably next week, he was so nice and even checked the booking number for me. They could have placed a message on the site!!

Nanto, you would be warm sweeping the footpath.

Gem, digger world sounds good, it would be no use to me, busy and warm!! A friend has been to Paris, they had hired cycles so did all the sight seeing on them, she said some of the places of interest had queues of over 3 hours so they didn't bother.

Daisy, I hope that Sainsbury's arrived.

Oma, did you visit MIL? I see that they have emptied an apartment opposite me, I don't know if the lady has been placed in a care home or has passed away, I know she hasn't been well for years.

Well MIL moaned about anything and everything so we know she's ok.
It was stuffy hot in the ward with no windows open , no the wonder they drop off to sleep all the time.
We took her a pork sandwich and two cream horns in today , so she will have something to eat unless she finds fault with them.πŸ™„

          Plant
Pleased your ok and just busy xx

          Daisy
Isn't it a bonus when your in and out before your actual appointment .
B hasn't found what he is looking for but I bought a lovely floaty lace cardigan😁
James has an appointment with the Dr later in the week but said he felt fine this morning.

          Lizzie
I can imagine your panic but it will all be ok I'm sure once the site is sorted.
Sounds like GD 2 really enjoyed herself ,
I hope other GD & boyfriend have as good a time.

          Nanto
I find sweeping my drive takes longer these days and my back kills me but so satisfying to see it all clean and tidy.

I was at the Dentist on Tuesday for a check up,
She said all was fine ,today eating lunch and a piece of one of my front teeth came off,
I rang and can't see her till 18th September unless there is a cancellation,
I glued it in with fixadent as we were going to the hospital , I didn't want a gap.
I've taken it out and put it in a little tub hopefully I can keep doing that till I see her again,

I said to B it would be cheaper and easier just to get what's left of my upper set out and get dentures,
It's a plain in the backside all these dental appointments.

Lizzie, I'm glad all was OK and no need for your panic!
It was very warm yesterday but it didn't feel at all crowded and any queues were around 5 minutes.

Oma, I hope you get a cancelation at the dentist.

Daisy it does make it easier having a local hospital to go to.

Plant, good to know nice family things were preventing you from posting
You are correct that Diggerland wouldn't be my choice of day out and I didn't go on many things. My pleasure was a day out and being with the family, and going on couple of things with GD and L.

Nice lunch and good chat with our friends in the garden this afternoon. We had a good lunch so will just have a snack this evening.

Lizzie, you must have been really worried when you couldn't get into that account. They definitely should put up a message to say the website was being updated. Thank goodness you were able to speak to someone to reassure you. GD2 did well on her kite surfing camp. It looks such a thrilling sport.

Nanto, thank you. It's good to be home, even though we had a good holiday. I'll write separately about it. I like bacon with little new potatoes! I swept some of our patio today, and that was quite enough, so sweeping all that pavement must have been hard work.

Gem, what a lovely relaxing lunch and afternoon in the garden. Are your GS's enjoying their holidays (or is GS3 still going to Nursery? What is GD doing?

Oma, is B looking for a particular colour or brand of t-shirt? Your cardigan sounds very pretty. Is it white? Poor you, having more dental problems. It's a long time to wait until 18th September. At least you know MIL is on the up if she's moaning about everything. You'd think they'd have the ward windows open on such a warm day.

I managed to get the lawn cut today, and the edges trimmed. So many weeds have grown while we've been away, but it was too hot to start on them.

                Good morning.
I'm late clocking in this morning. Been doing a few jobs.
Hubby going out at 8.30, so i'm going to cut the grass before it gets too warm.
When he gets home,he'll be putting the newly painted gate back on.

Cottage pie and veg for dinner.

                Stay cool ladies.

                  Morning Nanto, Ladies.

                  Nanto
Best get the lawn cut early it will be far too hot later.

                  Daisy
B is just looking for a few decent t-shirts,
He went through his wardrobe and got rid of lots of his old ones ,
The shops seem to be selling those that are like football shirt material,
I'm not keen on them I think they make you sweat.
Or they are asking silly prices for poor quality.
We went into Ben Sherman, they had them priced Β£35 for something you can get with the same quality in Primark for Β£3.99.
We might go there when we can , he got a few nice ones from there before,

Yes my cardigan is white , it's long with a waterfall front,
I didn't really need it but it was on sale half price in Roman so I had to have it.

It's going to be hot today Daisy so take it easy.

B at dentist at 9 not sure if we doing anything after see how he feels.

Good morning Nan2, Oma and everyone.

                    Keep cool if you can

Daisy, GS3 is at nursery all through the year yes. (but just two days a week) So his routine isnt affected by the school holidays.
GS1 is in Scotland with his dad for few days. I have heard nothing which is probably a good sign!
GD and GS2 have just had a holiday in Majorca. GD's school has strange holidays so she will be back at school before the end of this month. She has a few dance workshops over the summer.

Library duty for me this morning and a nail appointment this afternoon .Just having my toe nail gels removed and another set on to see me through the summer. Since we are not going on our autumn holiday now, no need to wait. I may as well have nice nails here!
I also need to go over to DD1's at some point to check in on the cat. She has a cat sitter coming in twice day for feed whilst they are away but asked me to go over and keep her company. I havent had much time the last couple of days so had better go today.
Golf away day for OH with dinner, so salmon for me tonight.

                      Good Tuesday morning, everyone.

Nanto, the graphic reminds me I've got a lot to do in the garden, but it will be far too hot today. What colour did your OH paint the gate? (Sorry, if you said earlier - I'm still on catch up).

Oma, I'm trying to get OH to part with a couple of Primark t-shirts because they are looking rather shabby - but they are 10-15 YEARS old, and he has worn and worn them. They have been fantastic value. I love the sound of your cardigan, and waterfall fronts look so glamorous. It was a bargain not to be missed.

Gem, I do hope GS1 is enjoying his holiday in Scotland. As you say, no news is good news. I hope GD and GS2 enjoyed their holiday in Majorca. I hope the dance facilities are air-conditioned in this weather. It's a big year for both your GD and our GD1 this coming year, isn't it. (GCSEs in case anyone is wondering.)

A busy day for you, but as you say, you may aw well enjoy "new" nails now. I hope S enjoys the golf today and it's not too warm. We had salmon last night - it's always one of my favourite meals.

No particular plans for us today. I've got a telephone appointment with the Consultant at lunch time, and I need to water next door's garden before everything dries up.

I had salmon with sweet potato last night also 😁
All great minds think alike .
Daisy I hope the consultation went well.

                        Gem
May as well enjoy pretty nails here than anywhere else,
                        Makes you feel summery too😁

Daisy, the gate has been a light grey with black fittings.
Hope your telephone appointment went well.

I started cutting the grass early. Only had a couple of yards left to do when we had a shower.
Anyway i carried on. Not been as warm as i expected it was going to be.

I hope the phone appointment was OK Daisy.

It was a very quiet morning in the library. We think the hot weather was keeping people away. I got all the colouring pencils sharpened!

Nanto, it's a good job you started the lawn when you did. I bet the gate looks very smart now.

Oma, great minds indeed! Neither of us was very hungry tonight, so we just had scrambled egg on toast. How was MIL today?

It's been a hot day, but I've got quite a lot done, including two sessions of watering our neighbour's garden - they're on holiday and it had got very dry.

The consultation went fine. Nearly all the latest blood test results were ok so I carry on with treatment on Friday. OH has got an eye appointment at the hospital tomorrow morning. I hope he won't need an injection, but either way I'll have to drive home as the drops dilate his pupils.

Daisy, glad the consultation went well.

DS1 and GD2 are coming for dinner, so I'm doing roast beef with all the trimmings.

Got a load of washing in, so time for coffee.
