    Good morning everyone.

Tesco delivery for us today Nan2. Your garden sounds in good order now.

The pond sounds a perfect size Daisy.

How are you feeling today Oma?

Little E day today. I think we will go to the library this morning.
Tesco delivery due at lunch time. Mainly cat food, a few things for the catsitter, and non perishables.
I will look through all my things set aside for packing to check I don't have far too many clothes! As we don't leave here until late afternoon tomorrow I will leave the actual packing of the case until the morning.

      Morning ladies

      Nanto
We could have had a good chat this morning, I was up too.

      Gem
Getting exciting now , one more sleep 😁

I'm not feeling great but got to just get on with it,
      Been to Aldi ,
Put a load of washing out I'm hoping it stays nice,
Need to go to MILs, don't feel like going but she wants stuff from Morrisons like pads etc womens stuff
I don't expect B to get them although he would ,
I could have gone into Super drug and got them, then B could have gone himself, but no it has to be Morrisons, why I don't know but she will kick off if we don't.
We won't stay long I need a nana nap after lunch and I intend having one ,
The cough kept me awake most of the night.
Im not fat just 6ft too small

Good morning, very warm here with a wind. I have just been to the market in Delft, very lazy, I went on my E bike, there is a good, safe compound near the market so safe to leave the bike there.

Oma, take it easy if you are not feeling well.

Gem, you will be getting excited, I know I would be!

The olive trees on my balcony are full of blossoms, opening now and falling off, so, I have had to move them as I don't want my neighbours all complaining. I have brought an (older) hoover up from the garage and will use that to keep it all tidy.

The photo's are of the windmill base on my way to Delft, the flowers are a picture!

          Good Thursday morning, everyone.

Nanto, that was an early start. Any picture of a butterfly seems to lift the spirits. So pretty.

Gem, have a lovely day with little E. Is this your usual cat sitter? I bet she's looking forward to spending time with the kittens, who will certainly keep her entertained for hours. It's sometimes hard to know what to pack, especially if the weather can be uncertain. I like to cover all eventualities so end up over-packing. OH always says he's not going to take many clothes, but he doesn't seem to feel either heat or cold and can wear pretty much the same whatever the weather.

Oma, I'm sorry to hear that cough is still keeping you awake. You certainly deserve a nap this afternoon. It sounds as though MIL is back to normal, which is good in one way (you'd worry if she suddenly said to do whatever is easiest for you, dear) but hard when you don't feel like going out at all. How is she getting on with the new phone? Take care, and don't give up on that rest this afternoon.

It's dull and overcast here - and much cooler than yesterday. OH has taken the kit car to the garage to have something done (don't know what) and our neighbour went with him in case he has to leave it at the garage. They are planning to go on a long week-end meet for owners of this car at the end of this month, and the journey up to Shropshire will be the longest its done, so they want it to be in tip top condition. No particular plans for me today. The friend I was going out to lunch with has had to cry off, so I might even do some housework.

Lizzie, our posts crossed. The photos are lovely, and gorgeous flowers. Your olive trees are amazing. They must be very happy on your balcony to produce so many flowers. Are the olives edible? Safe parking for your e-bike must be a big consideration, because I imagine they are vulnerable to thieves.

How are you now? Are you back to all your normal activities? xxx

Daisy, I don't think it is warm enough for the olives to grow, I do get a lot though, especially this year.

I am feeling much better thanks, out and about again!

Daisy, the E bikes get stolen, plus at the moment battery thieves are very active in the area! Especially round the stations etc. Mine is insured, but, I still like to be careful. The insurance costs a fortune really, I pay more for my E bike than I do for the car insurance.

Oma, hope you feel better soon.

                Lizzie,lovely photos.

Gem, enjoy your day with E. He''ll miss you while you are away.

Made enough sliced potatoes, onions and corned beef meals, for 6 meals.
Each one will do both of us.

MIL was back to moaning , but so far she likes her phone.
She had gotten me to go to Morrisons for her pads then when I got there she proceeded to tell me his sister was coming at 12 to take her shopping at Morrisons 😵‍💫

I said then why didn't you just get them when you went , she said she may have forgotten them,
Well no I could have rang his sister to remind her ,
Not feeling well I wasn't happy with her at all 😡

                  We didn't stay long ,
B put her bin out and made her bed , he could tell I was fuming ,
She knew I wasn't feeling great and could have saved us a journey,
If I had known his sister was going today we wouldn't have bothered going.

Anyway I have had a nap so feel a bit more human 😁

Lizzie, you never know, you might be lucky with your olives. A friend of our in the next village and my DIL1 have both got olive trees that produce fruit, although ripening can be a problem in a poor summer. I'm sure the insurance for your e-bike gives you peace of mind, even if it is a lot of money.

Oma, it sounds as though your MIL is fully back to normal. Fancy getting you to make a special journey to Morrisons, knowing you weren't well. But at least there were no complaints about her new phone. The nap did you good. xx

Nanto, 6 meals is fantastic. All those days off from cooking will be worth today's efforts.

We had torrential rain this morning, so no gardening, but it topped the pond up nicely. I made a start on giving the kitchen a really good clean and OH did the hall and living room. I was lucky enough to have been given some beautiful flowers for my birthday, but some of them have now died or faded, so I spent some time this afternoon sorting them out and managed to make one quite large vase of blooms and 3 miniature ones to dot around the house.

Oh Oma, I know how you feel, my mum could be like that.
When you are unwell it's so unfair too.

Nan2 I think E will miss us. I shall certainly miss him.

Glad to hear you are feeling better Lizzie! Lovely photos.

Steady on with the housework Daisy!

Little E is such lovely company, another lovely day with him
OH had a nice riverside walk and coffee with her friend, the weather was so good today.

Oma, glad MIL likes her new phone.
She was a bit of a nuisance about Morrisons though.

Daisy, i love it when the kitchen is all clean and tidy.

The Smeg kettle and stuff i won is back in its boxes.
We've got our previous set out. I missed my 4 slice toaster.

                            Good morning.

Not much for me to do today. I'll just make sure everywhere is tidy, but that usually leads to doing other jobs.

Hubby out for his usual Friday meet up with his pal.

No cooking, I think we are having a KFC.

Gem, I suppose we could sell the smeg things.
Obviously we can't sell the kettle and toaster as new, they have been used. The blender hasn't been used.

                            Enjoy your holiday Gem.

                              Good morning ladies.

I love KFC Nan2. In fact we were driving past last week and I was thinking we are due for one as we haven't had one for ages!

I hope you feel a bit better Oma.

Final packing and cleaning today. W, our catsitter will be here at some point this afternoon. DD1 will be here at 4, in plenty of time for us to load her car and get to the station. I will speak to you again from the hotel this evening!

                              Have a good day everyone.

                                Good Friday morning, everyone.

Gem, I'm sure little E will be delighted to see photos of you on holiday and his Mummy telling him about what you're doing. It sounds as though you are well-organised and ready for your holiday adventure. I'm sure you will feel your holiday starts as soon as you get on the train. It must be such a relief to know you've got W taking care of the kittens as well.

Nanto, it's surprising how a "few little jobs" can lead to more - resist the temptation. If you've got lovely sunshine like us a relaxing time in the garden is highly recommended. I like KFC occasionally. We usually have one in motorway service stations when we're travelling. I can understand you missing your 4-slice toaster, but the Smeg items look very smart. I agree with Gem, you could sell them, and I'm quite sure they all look like new, although I know you'd have to say they weren't. I know it's silly, but I'm sure my cooking is better when I start with a sparkling clean kitchen.

I hope Oma is feeling a bit better today.
