Where do they live Lizzie?

It's been a long day, so I haven't had time to chat. I'll try and catch up tomorrow, but we've got a niece and her OH coming over for morning coffee and bacon butties courtesy of my Chef in Residence. Good morning ladies.
Oma, enjoy your holiday.
Lizzie, seeing your brother is something to look forward to.
Daisy, make an extra bacon butty, I'll be round later.
Hubby has gone to a car boot sale with his brother.
I keep thinking it's Sunday, because that's the day they usually go.
Empty dishwasher is on cleaning.
Just sorted a load of lights for washing.
Hubby's weekly treat of egg and chips with peas for dinner.Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Good morning everyone.
Nan2, that would make me think it was Sunday too. We often think it's different day when our routines alter!
Daisy, your Chef is a keeper
Oma, if you don't get back before you go, happy holidays!
Aqua for me this morning. I know one of my friends will be there so we will probably stay for coffee. Tesco failed to send blueberries with the order yesterday so I will pop into M&S food hall for that. No other plans today.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Just back from lunch in the village hall supplied by Cook. Very enjoyable. Nice to chat with friends.
Oma, hope you got off okay. Have a lovely restful time away.
Gemini, Hope Aqua was enjoyable. How did we manage without blueberries. I find they keep well.
Nanto, How does your OH like his eggs cooked? I ought to clean my dishwasher and washing machine.
What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Plant, lunch out and good company is always good
As there was only the one friend at aqua who is also OH's golf friend she came back to our house for coffee and a chat.
She doesn't play golf much these days so it was nice for them to catch up
It feels very chilly today due to the wind.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

It's been a busy couple of days at Daisy Towers, so this is catch up time.
Oma, have a wonderful holiday. I hope the weather is kind to you and you have a good rest as well as a bit of gadding about and enjoying yourselves. Are you self-catering?
Nanto, sorry you missed out on the extra bacon butty OH made!! Did hubby find any bargains at the car boot sale?
Gem, it's good Aqua still runs on Bank Holidays. I'm sure your and OH's friend was pleased to have a coffee with you both. There's a chilly wind (more of a gale) here as well, but the sun is nice in a sheltered place.
Lizzie, how lovely to have your trip to your brother's to look forward to in September. The nearby hotel sounds a great idea.
Plant, your village hall is very active, and lunch out sounds lovely. Did your GS3 stay overnight with the family or did he have to get back to London? We both like blueberries, especially in a morning, and I find Tesco ones keep really well, while often the Sainsbury's ones don't.
It was nice to see the friends who called round yesterday. We were able to sit out in the garden most of the afternoon, but then it suddenly went chilly. They didn't leave until 8.30 and by then I was too tired to do anything. How can sitting chatting to people be so tiring! Our niece and her OH called round this morning. They came in his Lotus Elan which he is in the process of restoring, so he and my OH talked cars and went out for a little drive. J (niece) and I had a nice long chat and put the world to rights. We've always been close - she was even my little bridesmaid at my wedding - and it was so good to see her. She was also close to both our DSs, and now meets up with DIL1 as well from time to time.
OH has gone to Ikea. I felt too tired to be walking round the store, so opted to stay home and have a rest, but it made sense to go today when the flyover is open just for the week-end, before it's closed again tomorrow as they still haven't found the water leak. We want one of those pull-out cupboard things for under the kitchen sink so we've got somewhere to keep food waste when we change over to multiple wheelie bins, boxes and goodness knows what else next month. I hate the thought of having the food caddies, but we don't have a choice."Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "

We are here after a awful long journey due to multiple road works , several holdups. then the sat nav sent us up miles of winding roads, putting time on the journey.
We did cut 10 mile off by getting the ferry across lake Windermere to Coniston.
The lodge is amazing and huge , I will put pics on later.
It's rained hard but supposedly just light showers tomorrow, there are plenty of indoor places we want to visit if the weather is bad so not bothered.
Daisy yes self catering but we called into M&S and bought a couple of meal deals for tonight and tomorrow and we will find a nice pub to eat in 😁
It will be nice not to think of housework for a few days🙂
Im not fat just 6ft too small

Lizzie , sorry to hear about your friend.
Oma, that sounds a really lovely place. I hope you have good weather, but being away somewhere nice is a treat in itself whatever the weather - and a break from housework!
Daisy, sensible plan to stay away from Ikea . It's tiring at the best of times, let alone when going through the treatment that you are!“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Oma, your journey sounds horribly familiar to us, wherever we go. At least you've now got time to relax and enjoy that beautiful place without worrying about chores. I agree - find the nearest good pub, and work you way through the menu. Sleep well tonight.
Lizzie, I'm so sorry to hear about your friend. I know it was expected, but there is still sadness. The flowers with a message on is a lovely idea.
Gem, Ikea was a nightmare. What OH was shopping for was in two separate pieces, on different floors. The escalators weren't working either. I was so glad I stayed home and put my feet up - I certainly needed it today.
We had some leftovers in the fridge, so we made them into dinner tonight. Then OH took Eva for a walk. It's gone quite chilly, trying to rain and still very windy. What a contrast with our recent glorious weather.
