Plant, I hope your Waitrose order has everything you wanted. Enjoy coffee with your friend. I hope your busy week is en enjoyable one.

Yes we will be spending time with family over Christmas. DS2, DIL and GDs are coming for Christmas Day, and DIL's mum may come as well. We'll have Boxing Day to recover! Then it's GD2's birthday on the 27th. DIL1 and GSs are coming down here on the 28th and may stay over, then New Year's Eve we're getting together with our usual group of friends. We hosted last year so it's at someone else's this year.

Oma, it sounds as though B is making some progress, and what a fantastic night's sleep you had! You must have needed it. Your hair will be just right for Christmas.

Good afternoon, I’ve had a very busy couple of days but hopefully getting back to normal now. Our last knit and natter for this year this morning, so extra cakes with our coffee and not much knitting done. I hope B will get some help Oma, but nothing you can do with a stubborn man!

Plant, can you do anything about the keyboad in settings, I had something similar but I can’t remember how I dealt with it. I think I sort of held the keypad and dragged it down out of sight but I can’t be sure.

Everything is done here now, although to be fair I don’t have much to do. But presents all wrapped and cards delivered, it’s all very easy now compared to a few years ago but I did enjoy it all then.

thank you for your card Daisy.

We didn't eat at the farm shop. There weren't many choices for gluten free.
Sis in law gets a bit fed up of jacket potatoes.
We went to our usual place for a pub meal, which we all enjoyed.
They have more gluten free choices on the menu.
That was our day taken care of.

I have posted the recipe for air fryer fruit cakes on the recipe board.
It wasn't one of my recipes, someone posted it on Facebook a couple of years ago.

The problem with my I pad solved, the I pad was not sitting properly on the case which also has a keypad. Not a good explanation really. Our lovely H is poorly, she probably has the virus which is passing around the family. I also think she is very tired after all the events at Nursery.

I hope little H feels better soon Plant.

Nan2, that's good that there was something for all of you at your usual place.

Oma you must have needed that sleep.

Library was fairly quiet which isn't unusual this close to Christmas.
GS1 introduced me to Modern Family on Disney +. We watched a few episodes during the afternoon. It was good to find something I could bear to watch with him
We wrapped his mum's present and he took it home to put under their tree. He had no ideas and left it to me. I got 2 nice shower gels from M&S and a big bar of Lindt chocolate. With a nut allergy it's hard to buy boxed chocolates, she ends up giving a lot away. We stick to chocolate oranges or bars.

OH and I did a round trip to deliver 3 cards. It was ridiculous, I'm sure it cost more in petrol than stamps would. Next year I will post them unless we see the people!

Plant, I'm glad your iPad problem has been solved, and it was nothing going wrong with GRU! Poor little H. You do feel for them when they are poorly - I just hope she's better before Christmas. I think a lot of children, even much older than H, are exhausted this last week of term. Our GD1 came home from school on Friday as white as a ghost and very tired.

Nanto, at least you all enjoyed your meal at your usual place. It's hard when you have to be so careful what you eat. What did you have?

Many thanks for the fruit loaf recipe - I'm going to give that a go.

Enfys, your knit and natter group sounds great, and there are definitely times when you should prioritise the cakes and the nattering over the knitting.

I've had a bit of a lazy day today. I added a few more bits to the Christmas tree because it looked a bit boring. Also did a couple of loads of washing. It went chilly this afternoon, but I needed to blow the cobwebs away and Eva never says "no" to walkies. It was dark when we were on our way back so I was glad I'd taken a torch and Eva was wearing her neon-yellow harness and lead!

Gem, our posts crossed. I'm sure DD will be pleased with GS's presents. I know what you mean about the cost of petrol v. the cost to stamps. Neither are cheap these days. Most of our 'local' cards are within walking distance or are somewhere we drive to anyway, but there has to come a cut off point as to how far you travel! I haven't seen Modern Family, but it must be quite a treat to find something you and GS1 can watch together.

We then had a piece of lemon drizzle cake with a cup of tea so must be on the mend 😀

                            Very windy this morning.

Daisy, 3 of us had gammon, hubby had scampi.

Oma, good to hear you both had a proper meal.
Can't beat a slice of lemon drizzle cake.
Glad you got your hair done.

Not expecting any visitors today, so I'll be able to get the kitchen cleaned.

Chips, pork steak and mushy peas for dinner.

                              Good morning everyone.

Oma it does sound promising that you are both eating I watched Modern Family where GS1 is with the story. Lily is a baby/toddler, not talking yet.

Aquafit this morning, I think this will be my last before Christmas. There is a class next Monday but not with our regular instructor so I'm not planning to go to that one. If there is one on the 30th I will go, but I'm not sure there will be classes between Christmas and New year.
                              Massage this afternoon.
