Hallo everyone, we are in the middle of "twin" storms! There have been so many flights cancelled from and to Schiphol so I hope DS1 arrives home this evening. I went to the gym early, as I got blown away the other week I took a different road, it was worse!!! I managed to get there and it was a little calmer on the way home and to go to coffee etc. Still very windy with heavy showers.

I have just up-dated the music for my cremation! This gets done yearly.

You will both be pleased with the results Gem.

I can understand people buying children's clothes from Vinted, they seem to get so many and hardly worn.

I was saying about the frame for my sleeves, I got a message from my therapist, I can keep it and she will order one for the clinic in the new year, I should have had one before but thought I was able to do it myself. This was designed by 2 young boys for their grandmother, very handy !! I will post the link to the YouTube.

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

Pleased you are feeling a little better Oma, take it easy!xxx

I hope you have all had a good day out xx

          Plant
          Try again tomorrow😁
I'm the same just very tired and taking some time to get my energy back

          WG
Your doing so well , be careful hoovering , I think that's a heavy job when your fit nevermind when you have had surgery,
I hope you and the family have a good meal out , lovely your brother will be with you xx

B feeling off today and tired he's definitely getting this virus I think

I forgot to mention he saw the Kidney Consultant again yesterday.
His kidney function is 27% from 26% three weeks ago.
The new meds are to try to preserve his kidneys to avoid dialysis, only 1%. Difference but better than going down so they are working. It will never get into higher figures but as long as it keeps them going that's what matters ,
So that 1% we will take 😁

Im not fat just 6ft too small

1% is at least going in the right direction Oma. Go that man!
Sorry he's not feeling too good though.

I feel very tired today, I don't know why. I wish I was staying in tonight!

WG good to hear from you. With a knee replacement we were told no hoovering etc for 3 months and I gladly stuck to that

            The frame is ingenious Lizzie!

Oma, 1% is better no percent.
              Hope B feels better soon.

WG, you are doing so well. Enjoy your time with DB.

              Wet and windy again tonight.

Oma, as you say, 1% may not be much, but it's one percent better, and that's the important thing. I do hope he is ok - that was/is such a nasty bug you are recovering from.

WeeGranny, have a lovely time with your brother. It sounds as though you are making a good recovery, but please don't try to run before you can walk - literally and figuratively.

Lizzie, sometimes a simple idea is the best - that frame is so clever. I hope the storms pass over and your DS1 gets back ok tonight.

Gem, sometimes tiredness just hits you for no particular reason, but I think it's nature's way of saying take a rest.

Nanto, it started to rain here just about the time our village high street was preparing for Christmas festivities - stalls, choir, Santa and reindeer etc etc. Such bad timing.

Plant, the hotel we went to for lunch is right on the sea front (although approached from the land side) and the sea looked quite calm, with a bit of sunshine. The hotel garden has lots of tropical looking plants so on a really good day you can feel you are abroad. Sadly the lunch wasn't as good as it usually is. The hotel has new management and was very disorganised. Most of the men felt the portions were very small, and there was a long, long wait between courses. The lovely people who organise this pensioners' club put a huge amount of work in but today they also had to help with setting out the tables - and luckily they noticed there was one table short - the one OH and I and our friends were on. So we were crammed into the darkest tightest corner and I literally couldn't move my chair because there was no space between me and the person behind me. Still it was nice to catch up with some people we don't see very often, and of course, no cooking tonight was another bonus.

Good morning, all is calm after the wind and rain yesterday evening.

Daisy, what a shame the hotel was so disorganised.
Nice to catch up with friends though.

We are going into town today. I haven't been out for over a week apart from going to the post office.
                  Last Saturday hubby was busy.
Not much we need from town but it gets us out.
We will eat out, so that's a bonus.
The Christmas market is in town this weekend,so we'll have a browse.

                    Good morning to all.
There is the link to the Advent calendar

You will be glad to get out I'm sure Nan2.

Daisy I'm glad you enjoyed the lunch despite the drawbacks!

Wishing all under the weather ones a speedy recovery.

It's forecast stormy here today, OH was to play golf but it is cancelled.
Today I will address and stamp Christmas cards (the boring part which I put off!) We have friends coming to lunch tomorrow so I will make an apple cake today to have tomorrow and sort out their presents. I need to write up the dratted Minutes but I keep putting it off and probably will today

UPDATE ON CHRISTMAS MARKET: Due to the adverse weather warnings in place for Storm Darragh, unfortunately Christmas Market cannot go ahead this weekend. The outdoor Market will also not be taking place this Saturday.

Just seen this on Facebook. Its as still as a mill pond at the moment.

                        Morning ladies
We have wall to wall rain,
Typical the window cleaner came yesterday.

                        Nanto
I have just read about all the festive markets and celebrations being cancelled today,
Lots of prep gone into these events too.
I wonder what the poor food sellers will do with all the food they have prepared?

                        Daisy
                        That's poor management isn't it.
I hate to be crammed in like that, you feel like your encroaching on someone else's conversations when your so close.

A story my friends husband once told me , it was a similar situation and he couldn't move to let the lady behind get in her chair so he called the manager over and asked him if this lady was expected to limbo under the table to her chair or sit on his knee and share his lunch , the lady hearing this chose to sit on his knee 😂😂
He said they all laughed and it broke the tension but it shouldn't have happened , it's dangerous squeezing so many in such a small space.

                        Gem
Get those minutes out of the way then they are not niggling in the back of your mind.
I'm sure Apple cake will go down well, it would in out house anyway 😁
GS was hopeful of playing golf today but not going to happen with all this rain.

I didn't have a bad night at all , I got at least 6 hours solid before the cough started I'm pleased with that amount , could do with more but I won't be greasy.

Stripped both beds as with us both being poorly and sweating they stink ,
B changed them on Tuesday but had to be done again today,
B woke with one eye struck closed it's all sticky, luckily he has plenty of eye drops and gels plus false tears ,
So a good clean and some drops sorted that.

Morning from a very windy and wet Bucks! We were planning to go out for brunch and have a mooch around one of our pretty towns which has lots of independent shops! Not sure how I’d fare in this wind. One of my benches has blown over taking some pots with it. I expect there’ll be lots of damage in the area.

Good news on B, oma and pleased your feeling better! My hoover is only a little light one and I only did two rooms. That’s probably it for another month 😁

I’ve got a sock puller upper Lizzie because I’m not allowed to bend down to put socks/shoes on. Best bit of kit I’ve bought for this op.

If you’re caught in this storm lee safe ladies and have a good day xx

                              Good Saturday morning everyone.

It's wet and very windy here, but not as bad as parts of Wales. I've just spoken to my sister-in-law up there and while we were talking their front door blew open with the force of the wind. They live just a couple of hundred yards inland and they have been flooded out before now. Anyway, they're ok so far - just fence panels down, panes of glass out of the greenhouse, debris etc. She did say the red alert on her phone frightened her to death!!

Our dog food order's just arrived so I'll pop back later - I'm off to sort out the chest freezer. Deep joy!

Wind not too bad here, I feel sorry for those poor people in the West.

I have been busy sorting out the Christmas cards, I think I have sorted it. I have to deliver the local ones and get some cash to go in some cards.

WG, I think I might look into the sock puller upper.

                                Just got to pop off
