      Good morning everyone.

Nan2, I hope the weather isn't as bad as forecast! A wind speed of 40 is due as my aqua class ends

The vet will soon deal with the tick Oma.

Aqua this morning. No coffee as I am meeting a friend in town for lunch. I will come home, shower, change and go for the bus. If it were any other friend we could change it, but she still works, has taken half a day off and has to be in town for an opticians appointment anyway. Just hope we don't get blown away!!

Stay in if you can ladies if the bad weather comes.

Hope lunch is going well , it's so cold today take care in that wind.

I went to Pets at home to the groomers, she knows Storm well I showed her what I thought was a tick, turns out it's a skin tag,
As soon as I parted his fur she knew , she said he has a few that she knows off when she is grooming him but most you can't feel.

Saved me the price of a consultation with the Vet,
She showed me his chart where they note things like that down and it was in the exact spot on her chart.

So that panic over , he did however gets several treats while we were in there😁

I then had to go to the Range a few shops down to buy a new kettle,
Ours decided to stop working this morning,
They allow dogs in so he got fussed and treats again.

It's horrible here very wet dark and cold .

I emptied my tea towel draw and have put them all in the wash ,
Several haven't been used as I tend to grab the ones on the top so I thought they could all do with a refresh.
They will go in the tumble dryer when they finish.

Gemini, Have an enjoyable lunch with your friend. Not sure if the threat of bad weather is going to hit us.

Oma, well done for spotting that tick, horrible things. Busy time for you, I hope B’s tests will have best results.

WG, I hope your test will go well with a good result.

Daisy, Well done to your OH for taking on some cooking.

Nanto, no wind here yet, think it is forecasted.

No sign today of the injured fox that has been resting in our orchard. I saw it yesterday going behind the shed. My DD put some food out for it, he said thank you and took the container as well. Harriet is fascinated by it.

            Good Monday morning/afternoon everyone.

WeeGranny, welcome back - there's a warm welcome from us GRU-ers, even if the weather isn't so welcoming. I always think spending some time in a warmer climate at this time of year helps to take the edge of the coming winter a bit. I can understand you being a bit nervous about the cataract op, but I agree with Gem. There is nothing to worry about. It's very quick, and the surgeons will give you a running commentary if you with. Be prepared for some spectacular rainbow lights - not in the least bit unpleasant. It will be good to have your DD with you for a couple of nights. I'll be thinking of you. A big day for your GS, starting Uni this week.

Nanto, thank you for the lovely greeting this morning. I hope the wind doesn't get any worse.

Gem, same for you with the wind. As you say, it would be difficult to change your plans with your friend. Take care.

Oma, Poor Storm, but at least he was saved a vet's visit for the non-tick. Eva has a similar skin tag, and J has tried twice to remove it with the tick tool! I've convinced him now, I think, that it's harmless and he can just leave it.

It's windy here, too, but sunny as well, so I've got a line full of washing out (hope it hasn't blown away) and the bedding has just finished washing so I'll get that out as well. Back later.

Oma well that was good finding out Storm had a skin tag not a tick!

Hopefully that fox is OK Plant.

I'm glad you have some sun Daisy!

Well, I have been lucky in escaping the worse of todays weather! OH took pity on me and drove me into town, dropping me closer to the restaurant than the bus stop. On the way back it has stopped raining for my walk to and from the bus. The wind wasn't as bad as predicted. It's a dark dismal day though.
My friend and I had a very nice lunch with cocktail (which is our treat when we meet up twice a year) and good catch up.

Glad you had a nice lunch Gem.

Oma, do they take skin tags off dogs.

Had quite a bit of sunshine today, but its raining now, turned cold as well.

We did have a visitor today, Bro in law from the bungalow came and stayed for an hour.

We had some peaches that needed to be used, so i peeled then and mixed them with some apples from the freezer.
I made three pies and two crumbles. We don't like anything going to waste.

                  Good morning. Still windy.

I'm going into town with hubby when he goes for his meet up.
I only need a couple of bits just fancy going out for a bit.

Hubby having a chicken tikka ready meal for dinner, don't know what I'll have.

Good morning everyone, I have slept well after almost not at all on the boat! I think we had head win and the whole boat was vibrating until early morning, my bed was like a message table.

DB was there to meet me, he looks ill, he was telling me tha he is worried about hid DW, she is dizzy, keeps falling and not walking straight, her mother had Parkinson’s nd that is in their minds, she has a doctors appointment etc this afternoon so they are dropping me off in Beverley so I can have a walk round the town, then this evening there is a meal booked.

Excuse the mistakes, not my usual 10 finger typing.

I am pleased I booked the hotel, it is easier on them and gives me more space, a lovely β€œoldly worldly β€œ hotel with original features, about a 10 minute walk from their house.

I will look t the other posts later, I am going to get a shower.

                      Morning ladies

                      Nanto
Enjoy your look around town it makes for a change of scenery,
I'm not sure about the skin tag maybe on short haired dogs but Storm has two very thick coats so not visable.

                      Lizzie
I hope it's nothing to worry about with SIL and it's just something like vertigo.
Not a great crossing by the sound of it , hopefully the journey back is better,
                      Enjoy your holiday.

Waiting for the dog walker then when she comes back we will take Storm down home and leave him for a hour while we pop to Farm foods,

I was in bed for 9.30 last night the sleepless nights caught up with me and I slept till 4.30 but didn't get up till 5 ,
                      So everything is done.

Lizzie, good to know you have arrived safely. I hope that lady finds out what the problem is and its nothing serious.

Nan2 that was good use of the peaches. It is pity to waste food I agree.

Not too bad a nights sleep then Oma. No matter how early I got up nothing would get done for several hours

Its still quite windy but the sun is peeping through and its not at present raining.
Library morning for me. We need some fruit and cat food so I will buy those on the way home. No other plans, but we are in need of a good dust and hoover round so I will probably do that this afternoon. Usual Tuesday golf for OH.

                          Good Tuesday morning, everyone.

Lizzie, I'm sorry you had such a rough crossing. At least the wind has died down a bit after yesterday, and hopefully it's not raining for you. No wonder your brother is worried. I do hope it's not Parkinson's. Your hotel sounds very nice. Enjoy your meal out tonight.

Nanto, I agree about not letting good food go to waste, and peaches are delicious. I think it's unlikely for dogs to have skin tags or sebaceous cysts removed. They don't do any harm in most cases.

Oma, you certainly needed that sleep, but I agree with Gem, I wouldn't be able to get stuck into anything useful like housework at 5 am. Storm probably enjoyed seeing the cats this morning.

Gem, take it easy on the dusting and hoovering! I hope it's not too windy for OH's golf.

I was up and about early (for me) to go to the dentists - just the hygienist, so not too bad and I was back home just after 9.30. No plans for the rest of the day, although I shall try and remember to watch both BBC and ITV local news tonight, as our village is in uproar about a footbridge in the Forest which Forestry England is determined to remove. The alternative route for pedestrians is via a very narrow, dangerous and sharp corner of a road - an accident waiting to happen.

Lizzie, I hope you have recovered from the rough crossing, we had an extremely windy day here. Enjoy your visit.

Oma, Like the others, I couldn’t get stuck into housework even if I got up early.

I wonder what Storm is thinking in his doggie brain

Daisy I hope the public win that fight with the Forestry Commission about the footbridge.

Gemini, take it easy on the dusting and hoovering

Lizzie, glad you arrived safely, even after a bumpy crossing.

It was cold early this morning, but it warmed up while i was in town.

All i bought was six new cereal bowls,a pair of white pillow cases.
Had a browse round a few charity shops and bought a new wax melt burner.

Plant, the tv crews have been there today - BBC South and ITV South - but contractors have fenced off the bridge this afternoon.
