I'm more than a bit late posting today! I don't know quite where the day has gone though. I did push the sucky up thing round this morning, and then we went were invited next door to their GD's 7th birthday party. They had a gazebo up and the youngsters had a film - silent as the large screen they'd hired came with headsets, then a disco in the same space. It was nice to catch up with our neighbours' lovely family, including dogs.

I took Eva out for quite a long walk, and came back freezing cold. It was sunny off and on, but cold enough for us to light the wood burner for the first time this Autumn.

I'll catch up tomorrow - I'm heading back to the warm and cosy living room.

      Go and warm up Daisy

I'm glad your DD had a lovely party Plant, but sorry to hear you have a sore throat.
We have booked a few days away in Northumberland.

Lots of sunshine here too Nan2 but no time to do any washing!

We had a good day at the wildlife park and lunch in the cafe there. Very basic cafe but OK. Little E liked the animals and play park very much.
He's so good and cute. It's a pleasure to have him.
It's still tiring though, as we have had him since Friday afternoon. We feel quite tired and glad to put our feet up this evening!!
I have updated the Tesco order, booked my October flu jab and shopped ( online!) for my GD's birthday since he went home. That's it for the day.

Good morning everyone, I arrived home on Saturday morning, 19 hours travelling, I did sleep of course, but, it is still travelling. GS1 and DIL were there to meet me and I was soon back home. I did enjoy the few days away, I was pleased I had the hotel booked. I would recommend it to anyone wanting a stay in the area.

I will catch up later on the posts, a busy day today, I did get all the washing done and put away yesterday.

I go away next week for a few days to the place I have been to a few times, a young man will help with the bike carrier, it is too heavy for me to put on nowadays.

DB2 and DIL travel to Spain on Wednesday for 8 weeks I think, they must like travelling more than I do.

          Welcome home Lizzie.

          Certainly feeling autumnal this morning.

We are clearing a planter out today and getting it planted up with spring bulbs.

Dinner is gammon and pineapple with thin fries and peas.

Off to get the ironing done.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

            Morning ladies

Lizzie its always nice to get back home isn't it , but I'm pleased you had a nice stay,
Will you come back next year do you think?

            Daisy
Once you feel cold it takes ages to warm through again , once your in your cosy bed it will feel like heaven.
Did they have a silent disco too?
They seem very popular now, so funny to see them dancing around when you can't hear the music 😁

            Gem
A long weekend with E but it sounds like the wildlife park was a hit with him,
I bet he asks to go again 😁

            Plant
            How are you feeling today?
GGD 6 already, shame you didn't feel up to going but little ones birthdays are noisy affairs especially when you don't feel well.

            Nanto
It is feeling like Autumn isn't it and looking it now the leaves are falling.

GS went back to Uni last night he will be back for a few days next weekend,
It's really cold hear, we put the heating on this morning,
I didn't sleep well again so I might have a nana nap after lunch, 20 minutes seem to help any longer and I feel sluggish and heavy headed.

I want to go To Home bargains this morning it's just over the road
GS needs new chopping boards and I need some Dettol anti bac spray.
If they haven't got the chopping boards in there I. Will go to The Range two shops down.
Im not fat just 6ft too small

              Good morning to all.
              The sun is shining.

It certainly is autumnal Nan2. I should follow your lead and plant our autumn bulbs. I always leave it late!

              Welcome home Lizzie

Aqua for me this morning. My friend is back from New York so I am back to chauffeuring her. Fingers crossed she should get her car back tomorrow!
Tesco delivery late afternoon. No other plans but after a busy weekend that is welcome

We crossed again Oma. Heating on here this morning too.
If we lived so close to The Range and Home Bargains I would spend a fortune!!

                  Good Monday morning, everyone.

We put our heating on this morning, as well. The outdoor thermometer said 10C. Brrrr...... I'v just put bedding in to wash, so I hope it stays sunny, and warms up a bit. No other plans today.

Gem, if I lived close to any big shops I'd spend a fortune. Living in the back of beyond is very economical. Enjoy a more relaxed day today.
Oma, I can't believe this is your GS's final year at uni. It's flying by.

Lizzie, welcome home. I'm sure you will be glad to sleep in your own bed tonight. Are DB2 and DIL following the sun - 8 weeks in Spain at this time of year sounds perfect.

Nanto, what spring bulbs are you planting? Like Gem, I often leave it too late, and I'm trying to reduce the number of pots I have to care for, but the front garden needs some spring bulbs. I feel a trip to the garden centre coming on. My OH says can he join you for gammon and pineapple, please. It's one of his favourites.

Plant, I hope you sore throat is better this morning.

WeeGranny, I'm pleased to hear your cataract op went well. If you want to hide the cobwebs just close your "good" eye. This works well until the other eye is done. What shocked me was how yellow anything white looked with the old eye, and how bright and white things looked with the good eye. I know what you mean about learning about blood test results. There are certain things I know are critical, but others are still a bit of a muddle. I hope your GS has a wonderful time at uni. I'm sure he will have a great social and sporting life, and will have lots to tell you when he comes home. Well done to your DD and the hockey team.

Got disturbed, thought I might loose the post.

Nice and sunny here atm, not sure what the forecast is. DD and Sil are away abroad for a week from tomorrow attending a wedding, GD2 was supposed to be a brides maid but can’t go because of her pregnancy. Hope that baby doesn’t decide to arrive early, it seems to be happily snug atm.

Gemini, That GS of yours sounds a delight to look after.

WG, pleased to hear your op went well, I think I will be in line for that soon. I expect you will miss your GS now he is at Uni, has he gone far and what is he studying? H has enjoyed her first full week at school. I hope you were not disturbed too much by that noisy children’s party over the hedge yesterday.

Nanto, I suppose it is time to plant some bulbs but the plants in the pots are still in flower.

Lizzie, welcome home, travelling is so tiring and you didn’t seem to be away for long.

Oma, Has your GS only got one more year at Uni? I hope you manage as Nana nap. Are you missing the dog?

Plant, I only heard the party when I went into the shed for something! My shed backs onto their garden! They were remarkably quiet for 6 year old girls! GS has gone to Leeds to study Sports Management Plant. Leeds seems to be quite a popular university for students from this area.

My ensuite has been cleaned to within an inch of its life today! Everything is gleaming! In fact it looked so good that I had my shower in the main bathroom.....I didn't want to spoil it

Had a lovely walk in the sunshine this afternoon and tackled the pile of ironing! Got half done and the rest can wait until another day!

Turning cool in the evenings but I haven't succumbed to putting the heating on yet!

Have a good evening ladies xx

Daisy, we didn't have the gammon and pineapple. Menu was changed, long story.
Planter has been done. We've got tulips, daffodils and glory of the snow.

Weather has been beautiful today,it was lovely in the sun, turned cool now though.
Changed the bedding, washed it and got it dry outside.
Cleaned upstairs. Then ironed the towels and t-towels i washed yesterday.

It seems everyone has had a productive day, today.

We put our heating on today. It was very chilly first thing, and I seem to be feeling the cold even more than usual at the moment. I put a jacket on when I took Eva for a walk, but was then too warm. There doesn't seem to be a happy medium for me! We've put our winter duvet on the bed today, so expect warmer weather now. The washing dried outside though with sun and a good staff breeze.

Nanto, your planter will reward your hard work come Spring - it will be full of colour.

WeeGranny, I had to smile at you not wanting to use your gleaming clean ensuite. You Scots lasses are made of strong stuff not putting the heating on yet. I'm sure I've got more nesh living on the south coast.

Plant, you notice the cold more once you sit down, don't you. Keep warm. I hope DD and SIL have a good time at the wedding, and I hope baby waits for them to get back home. It's good to hear H has settled down so well at school. I'm sure she will make lots of friends and enjoy the more grown-up environment. It doesn't seem 5 minutes since she was a tiny babe, does it.

Well done getting the bulbs planted Nan2.

Very hardy not putting the heating on WG

The cafe card machine at the leisure centre wasn't working this morning. So instead of Strictly card only, this morning it was Cash only! None of us had any cash, so we went to the nearby Costa for our after class coffee. The coffee is a lot better there anyway!
This afternoon OH and I went to the nature reserve for an hour or so before we had to get back for the Tesco delivery. Our friends had spotted the kingfisher there yesterday and we were hoping to see it. A lady there said she heard it was still around this morning. Sadly none of us saw it this afternoon. We still enjoyed being there, it was a lovely sunny afternoon.

Good morning everyone, Daisy, DB2 lived in Spain before the Brexit rules arrived, they still like to so to the sun though, as often as possible actually.

WG, it must be the Scottish blood in me that keeps me warm, then again, my father was Scottish and always felt the cold. He always said that he would die in the winter because of the cold, he passed away on June 20th!

I went to aqua yesterday, a lady was there that hadn't been for over 2 years, she was so surprised at how good the new instructor is, he is as well!!

I went to the fysio for an echo after that as my knee is playing up again, they cyst has filled again and there is fluid in my knee!!! I did walk a lot last week so maybe irritated it. I have to walk, stand, etc less and see if that helps, I go back for another echo if 4 weeks, the cyst can be emptied again but only after 3 months after the first time, I was hoping once was enough.
I can go to the gym and cycle, no circuit training though for a while so someone will be pleased that I have cancelled.

I couldn't get on the site yesterday, was that only me??

Plant, I was in England for 5 days, long enough! I hope to go away again next week so where I was going in August. Cycling through the woods, I hope!

I have started to make the calendar so I can get on with that later, get all the photo's sorted first.
