Had a lovely trip out although it was raining hard and the wind was wild ,
Just passed Scotch corner on the A66 they closed it to high sided vehicles,

We had a browse around then went for lunch,
We were going to go to the lambing sheds to see the new born lambs and pigmy goats but no way we're we battling across the farm yard in that weather,
We bought a few treats like cakes, lovely home made marmalade, some ribs B liked the looks of and a small fruit pantone.
It's very expensive and I think more so this year but they always have lovely things in ,
Ideal if your looking for a special gift.

They had a gorgeous white little ram foot stool in , so fluffy with a sweet face but it was £195
Not something you can just say I will buy that 😄
Although it would have looked really good in my sitting room 😁

By then my hip was really painful so we came home and I sat with a heat pack on and took some pain killers.

Gem, it sounds as though you will enjoy going back to where you went last night. It's great when you find a new eaterie you like. How was your friend - I hope she's feeling a bit less sad. I hope your DDs and their Dad have a good time. It's the sort of day to snuggle down and catch up on some tv!

Oma, I'm burning with curiosity to know what you bought at Mainsgill Farm. I've just Googled it and I think I could spend a day there easily, and probably put on half a stone with all the goodies! It sounds such an interesting place. I've been wondering how B is as well. Has the sickness stopped?

Welcome to Mainsgill Farm located 4 miles from Scotch Corner, heading west on the A66 in North Yorkshire, Mainsgill Farmshop & Tearoom is popular with local residents and passing travellers alike! Also known as the Farmshop with the Camels.

Nanto, sometimes the way things are organised can't be improved!

Plant, you certainly had a busy day yesterday. Did you have a good time at lunch with the family today? Our GDs are 14½ and 11 now. Very different personalities and interests, but they're both very good company.

I did salmon three different ways - crispy skin, herby salmon and salmon with sweet chilli jam. It went down very well! They were too full for pudding but they both managed large classic Magnums instead!

We've had a lovely day with the GDs and Cooper. Eva and Cooper have spent most of the day carrying big squashy soft toys round, showing them to us and then wandering off again! The girls had fun trying out my new watercolour paints this morning, and GD1 and I made an interesting (to us!) discovery - we sign paintings with exactly the same signature - just two initials - but identical! GD1 said she spent ages coming up with a signature that she was convinced was unique.
