Hello ladies
We went to MILs this morning, we usually go on a Thursday but she has x-ray on her chest and shoulder in the morning.
She was in a good mood so we stayed longer , had a good chat.

My mouth is very sore today , I think I will have to take pain killers today.

It's grey and dreary out ,

Daisy, yes she got a cancellation last night so all four of us were in the class and stayed for coffee.
My OH has had a sore throat and cold this week and is still coughing a bit.

I mentioned that our (new) lift was out of order yesterday afternoon, the reason was a man on a mobility scooter hit the door, or rather the door hit him. We were both waiting for the lift when new occupants were getting out of the lift plus tools etc so it took quite a while, the doors were open and the man moved forward when the doors closed and hit his scooter, the poor man, he has brain damage after an operation and can't talk, he is still young really, his daughter told me all this, anyway, I tried to get the doors moving but that didn't work, I did phone the repair centre and they said they would send someone, the only thing was the poor man can't walk, I could see he was really panicking so I went up to his house and got his partner, she came out shouting etc , how can this happen, what now etc, I didn't tell her what had happened to the poor man.

I met her this morning, she said with the help of his daughter they had managed to get him to walk, slowly to the first floor.

The young repair man was here at 4-30pm, I was talking to him, he said " I think something has banged the door", I told him what had happened and that it wasn't the poor mans fault, they could have blamed me as well, I could have held the door open with the button but I never thought to. The young man said the door closes after so many seconds, with the other people etc getting out, the seconds soon passed.

I met the mans daughter this morning and was telling her what happened, she thanked me for telling her and for helping her father, I told her that was maybe the reason he panicked, she said that is the worst part of not being able to talk, poor man. She was going to tell him that it certainly wasn't his fault what happened and that he is safe to go out on the scooter again when the weather picks up.

That was my good deed!!!

Busy day for me today, hence late posting. I go to a craft group once a month, that was this morning. Home for lunch and then off to my board games afternoon followed by chemist to collect some tablets. I have been feeling a bit breathless lately so I need to make an appt to see my doctor. Nothing booked for tomorrow so I can have a restful day.

Lizzie, I hope the lift is sorted, they need to extend the time allowed to enter and exit the lift.

Gemini, pleased you got your Aqua swim. I do miss my swimming.

Oma, Nice to have a chat with your MIL, you would do it more often if she was pleasant. Is she still off cigarettes?

Friends were saying we are to expect strong winds on Friday, if so, I shall stay indoors.

As far as we know she's not smoking but we are not sure,
The house still smells of smoke but it's in the soft furnishings and walls so untill it's decorated and she changes stuff it will linger.

I had a nana nap after lunch,
GS 1 was supposed to come for lunch but he went golfing with his Dad so he's coming tomorrow,
I took the opportunity to lie down.
I went into a sound sleep for almost a hour.

Sis in law made roast pork dinner and very nice it was.Treacle sponge and custard for pudding.

Lizzie, what a fright for that poor man. Should the lift door have a sensor on it so if something like that happens the door reopens?

Plant, what a busy day for you - but very pleasant as well. Is your breathing worse when the weather is cold - the cold air being inhaled?

Oma, you probably never know how your MIL is going to be, but today sounded like a good day. Has GS1 put his order in for lunch tomorrow. Good for you having a good nap.

Gem, I hope S is ok. That's how my OH's lurgy started. He's coughing a lot.

I seem to have had a busy day - loads of housework this morning so we ended up having a late lunch. It was cold going out for a walk this afternoon even though there was a bit of sun. Just doing my Sainsbury order for tomorrow.

Good morning Oma, it is brand new lift fitted with all mod cons, the sensor is higher to detect a body, the problem in the whole flat, not only here , are the mobility scooters! I can't tell you how many times they have "banged' the entrance door.

Just seen the weather forecast, it's not looking good for today, I think it's even worse tomorrow.

Hope all those feeling under the weather feel better soon.

No plans for us.

Haven't decided what's for dinner, but keep thinking about something with bacon.

Little E day today, he is due any time. No plans to go out today.
I don't think OH will go to the golf club as she's not 100% yet. Thursday is just playing, not competition so they are not letting anyone down if they don't go.

I have been to Tesco , it's about a 20 minute drive away but worth it as I can get stuff there I can't get anywhere else.
It's a bit pricey so I wouldn't shop there every week.

My mouth is sore but bearable, I put my tooth in to go shopping but took it out again in the car ride home.
It's to raw and bruised to keep it in longer than a couple of hours at the minute.

I am waiting for my niece to ring ,
My Sister fell in the bathroom and banged her forehead on the bath ,
The lump is like a golf ball on her head , it's massive,
They managed to get her in a taxi to go to the Drs ,
My sister is agoraphobic so doesn't go out,
I have a feeling she may have to go to the hospital,
She's 80 this year so no spring chicken.
Such a worry.

Oma, a good choice of your GS1's - rib eye steak. I'm sure he will enjoy every bit of it. I suppose it will take time for the bruising in your mouth to go down, so it's sensible to take it easy with the new tooth. Oh dear, your poor sister. I do hope the bump isn't serious, but it does sound awful. I hope she's ok.

Nanto, the weather forecast sounds grim. Let's hope they have misjudged it or it dies down before it reaches landfall. Is it the day for a mid-day fry up to use that bacon?

Gem, I'm pleased S is feeling a bit better, but yes, it's best not to go out in this weather unless you really have to. Have a lovely day with GS3 - I'm sure he will keep you both entertained. xx

My OH is still feeling poorly, although his eye looks a lot better. He's up, watching television and feeling a bit sorry for himself. He gets frustrated when he doesn't feel up to doing what he wants to do.

I've had a busy morning. Sainsbury's came a bit early - luckily I was dressed and ready. The fridge needed a good sorting out and cleaning, so I've done that, and put everything away. I cleaned the living room before OH got up and tidied Eva's toys away. I often see clips on FB showing dogs putting their own toys away, but I've never managed to train Eva to do that!

We had a beautiful pale pink sunrise this morning, but it's now pouring with rain and darker than it was at 7.30! I think a lazy afternoon is on the cards.

Daisy, I wonder if that rain is heading our way? I hope your OH continues to feel a bit better. He likes to keep busy. I wasn’t up early enough to see the red sky. I have had a couple of busy days so I intend to have a quiet day today. I have been a bit breathless the last couple of days, I will make an appt to see my doctor if it continues. Sil’s birthday on Sat, DD is doing a family lunch on Sunday.

Oma, we have a Tesco shop quite near, I haven’t been there for ages. What a nasty fall your sister had, I hope she isn’t too badly hurt.

Raining here, GD has borrowed my car to take H to school. H still has a problem with her speech, although she seems pretty bright. H is on a list to get checked but how long will that
will Take. I wonder if we should consider going privately.

Gemini, have a lovely time with your GS3, they grow up too fast, our latest arrival is now crawling.

Lizzie, good job no one was hurt with the lift door. Surely they should give more time for the wheel chairs before the door shuts.
