Good morning. Apparently there will be plenty of sunshine again.

Oma, your bins are different to ours.
Green for garden stuff, brown for plastic, grey for household waste and blue for paper and cardboard.
Now they say we are getting a red bin for food waste.

Washer just finished, so going to get them out on the line.

Hubby fancies KFC for dinner, so no cooking for me.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

      Good morning ladies.

Nan2, we love KFC and rarely have it. We have the same colours as you for our garden and household waste bins but only boxes for the recycling.

Daisy, it's lovely to see the flowers springing into colour isn't it?

Aqua for me this morning. I won't be staying for coffee as we are going over to have lunch with my auntie. I will pop into M&S after my class though for some flowers for auntie.

        Morning ladies

        Nanto
The amount of bins are getting ridiculous, where are people supposed to store them if you haven't got a big garden,
        What about flats,?
My GSs block of flats have down by the garages out of the way those large industrial bins , but not all flats have that luxury.
Enjoy your KFC , B likes them I'm not a lover so I always have something else when he fancies KFC.

        Gem
I hope your Auntie is well and happy , I'm sure she will love the flowers 😊

We have been to Aldi it was empty being so early ,, we going to D&J's at 11 to see the budgies 😁
Then B wants to paint a bit more of the fence,
His arm is a bit sore this morning from his COVID jab .

          Good Wednesday morning everyone.

Yes, we have glorious sunshine as well. I'm having a lazy morning, but will probably potter in the garden this afternoon. I'm not going to dog training today.

Nanto, your washing should dry in a jiffy today. Enjoy your KFC.

Gem, what a lovely day to be having lunch with your Auntie.

Oma, I hope B takes it easy if his arm is sore. The fence won't go away so there's no rush. I hope the budgies were happy to see you. Fingers crossed for Whiskey's tail feathers.

All those wheelie bins sound very confusing. We are getting wheelie bins for the first time in a couple of months. Goodness knows how it will go - I'm sure there will be lots of puzzled householders wondering which bin and when to put them out. I'm not keen on the idea of a food bin though. We'll get two little ones for indoors and a bigger one for outside! The very thought of it makes me feel queasy!

Our food bin is about the size of a bucket, it has a handle and a lid, it is put out every week. I have a small bin in the kitchen lined with a compostable bag and that goes in the food bin outside., Sil takes our cardboard to the tip. We haven’t found it a problem. Board Games for me this afternoon. I have advertised for a gardener to put my garden into shape, have had a lot of replies.

Oma, those budgies sound very entertaining. I hope B doesn’t overdo it.

Gemini, I am sure your auntie will be pleased to see you.

Daisy, gorgeous sunshine here, enjoy your lazy day.

Hallo everyone, I have just got home from the hospital, and, my heart is very stable!!! The same as it was 5 years ago, so , I was very pleased, after my friend died after the open heart surgery I have been worrying myself!

I went on the E bike, luckily as it is very windy, I took another road so I didn't hit the busy centre, only, so many roads, paths and bridges closed I ended up going through the town so it didn't help much. Then I had to remove the battery and take it in with me, they get stolen so often, I am insured, but, like to play safe.

There are not many area's with bins here now, they are all underground containers, the only one we haven't in the street is glass, if I have any I do to the one at the Lidl, I did read that they are starting a deposit on wine bottles, that will be less glass getting thrown out, it won't bother me though.

I took my car for the MOT this morning, I haven't heard anything yet so I hope that it passes.

Daisy, take it easy out in the garden.

Gem, enjoy the lunch with your auntie.

Oma, your friends will be pleased with the budgies, my neighbour breeds them, or he did, I think he still does.

Nanto, KFC is something I have never had, we do have a very good chicken man near here on a Tuesday, the chicken legs etc are delicious.

                Good result Lizzie
Hope the car passed its test.

The Budgies are so cute , Whiskey seems to get about ok he's up and down the ladders and just sort of jumps out of the cage landing with a thump but seems fine with it ,
He likes to talk to himself in the mirror a lot 😁

Snowy tentivly put one foot on my finger but wasn't quite sure enough to put the other one on he didn't mind being stroked though. 😁

B doing a bit more fence , it's lovely in the sunshine, warmer there than in the house .
I have told him just to do one side then knock of till tomorrow again rather than wearing himself out trying to do more.

Lizzie, such good news about your heart. Worry for nothing!

I hope B listens and doesn't wear himself out Oma!

Daisy I hope you got some relaxing time in the garden. Pottering is OK but don't do much. I feel the same about the food bin idea!!

Such a lovely sunny day, it's a pity we hadn't arranged to take auntie out. She likes to treat us to a meal in their bistro sometimes though and show us off to her friends she normally eats lunch with
We booked a date with her for early June and will go out for lunch that day. She was well, and chatty as always.

Lizzie, glad its good news from the hospital.
                    Hope your car passed.

Both of us enjoyed our KFC. It made a nice change.

Daisy, if you have been out in the garden,i hope you didn't do too much.

Gem, glad to hear Auntie was well and chatty. I bet she looks forward to your visits.

Lizzie, what good news about your heart. You must be very relieved - you tell yourself things are ok, but still worry. What a shame you have to take your ebike battery in to the flat with you. Did your car pass? (Fingers crossed.). Underground containers for rubbish sounds a brilliant idea. It must be a good hygienic way to go, and the householders don't have to worry about putting the right bins out on the right day.

Gem, hopefully it will be another lovely sunny day when you see your Auntie in June. My day got gobbled up and I didn't so any gardening in the end. The sun was lovely, but quite a chilly east wind.

Oma, I'm sure as Snowy settles in he will be a bit braver and jump on to your finger with no trouble. They both sound very sweet. I hope B didn't spend too long on the fence today. How is his arm now?

My lovely neighbour came in and had a coffee with me before she took Eva for a walk. It was nice to have a bit of time to catch up before they go skiing (snow permitting) on Saturday.

Nanto, KFC is always tasty, isn't it. Although the last time I had one was at DIL1's, and I broke a front tooth on an unexpected bit of bone! Not KFC's fault, just my own carelessness. We don't get any takeaway deliveries in our village, so it means making a trip to the chippy, Chinese or wherever.

Plant, I think our food bin will be similar to that. I just don't like the idea of having even a small food bin plus liner in the kitchen and we'll have to rearrange some cupboards so it doesn't sit on the work surface. Apart from anything else, Eva's nose will be working overtime given half a chance.

He only did one side and the top of the sleepers that make my raised boarders,
His arm is sore but ok thanks for asking xx

How nice of your lovely neighbour to take Eva out , how are you feeling today ?
Has J cooked again today 😁

Years ago back in the 70's the high rise flats that were built near where we lived ,had shoots that you threw your rubbish down and it went straight into huge bins under ground ,

They still have them but now they have two sides , one for recycle and one for household waste .
My SIL lives in the flats and said they often get blocked but they have a porter that they can call down too and he gets it sorted .

Oma, well done to B for not overdoing things. Yes, J has cooked. He went to play cars with his car pals (I had to persuade him to go!) but came home early to cook dinner. But a string of phone calls held us up, so he made omelettes and I put together a salad to go with them. In the process he had his first kitchen mishap though. Trying to get something out of a cupboard he managed to break a Pyrex bowl and jug. As you can imagine, there was glass everywhere. But on the bright side, there were both clean and empty, so no horrible sticky, runny stuff going under the kicking boards or fridge!

                            Good morning.

Daisy, oops for J breaking the bowl and jug, these things happen.
                            He's doing his best.
Nice to have a chat with neighbour.

Only plans for me is cooking some mince and onions in the slow cooker. I'll make some cottage pies and a pastry pie with it tomorrow. They will go in the freezer.

Asda delivery is between 9 and 10.

Today's dinner is baby potatoes, gammon and pineapple with peas and sweetcorn.

I am meeting two friends I only see about once a year. One friend has recently lost her OH. We are meeting half way in Waitrose, I hope they have something decent on the menu.
