Evening ladies back from Scarborough it was blooming freezing and the wind chill form the sea was off the scale , still it blew the cobwebs off , we had fish and chips and they were lousy so didn’t finish them, so we are hungry now 😌
All cars seemed to have past their mot eventually Libra ok for another year now folk
Oma cheese savoury must be a northern thing if the folk down country don’t know what it is , it’s lovely when the mayo squelches out of the bread yummy, so what’s B playing at now, enough is enough he needs to be home now and you need a rest Mrs B !
Pleurisy is a pretty nasty thing to have Oma poor girl no wonder she’s not coming round
Gem hope this cold is a short one they make you feel really down don’t they, best staying home tonight especially if tummy is a bit iffy too, hope mum is feeling better tomorrow
I love Cannon Hall it’s a nice ride from where we live , especially the farm shop I could go mad in there , but no won’t be up to hear the bleating lambs !!!!! Nana
I take my hat off to the ladies who garden especially in this weather your Martyrs absolutely martyrs

Cars are expensive things sometimes Libra!
Aww, that sounds like a compliment to me WG
I bet the sea air did you good Qwerty, despite the chill factor!

Now it has come around to the time I would have had to be getting ready, driving into town, parking and meeting my friends for the evening, I am so glad I don't have to! I made the right decision cancelling this morning. We are meeting in two weeks time.

Gem I’m glad you feel you made the right decision about going out.Keep warm and hopefully the cold will get better really soon.

Qwerty what a shame about the fish and chips. They’re usually good at the seaside.

It was such a nice afternoon I decided to venture in to the garden.I cleared up some debris and moss then did a few other odd jobs in the sunshine.I should really have been sorting things out from our time away but decided I’d rather be outside.

They weren’t that good last time we went Clover thought it was a one off then as we had always gone there but not again

My usual hectic Tuesday is a bit quieter today since I can't take Eva to dog training. But it was hard work today having to stay at DS2's with GD2 and puppy today instead of coming back to our house. Made worse by the bitterly cold, cutting wind freaking Cooper out every time he went in the garden. GD2 was a bit bored - she's used to coming to ours and has certain things she looks forward to every week. The only thing she wanted to do was use Play Doh - but she gets it all out, plays for 5 minutes then it all needs sorting out again and I cannot stand the smell or feel of it, and knew some of it would end up in Cooper's mouth so I was very mean and said 'no'. I don't feel I've been the world's answer to Mary Poppins today!!!

LG - glad to hear Bessie is Better.

WG - pleased to hear your OH's car passed ok - it's always a bit of relief! It feels a bit like taking an exam. Men are so difficult to buy for! When it was my OH's 70th the whole family clubbed together to give him a flight in a WWII Spitfire. It was a dream come true for him, and he's still talking about it 2 ½ years later. Is there anything along those lines - some kind of 'experience' - that your OH would enjoy? I'd take that little lad's comment as a compliment!

Aggie - how annoying to have no BB! Ours is very poor, but most days it works, even if it is the speed of a tired out tortoise. Welcome back. I hope all is well with you and J and you've escaped all the nasty bugs going round.

Gem - what a good job your OH went to sort out the gas fire - I hope it can be mended to switch on and off properly. How are you feeling now?

Cheese savoury sounds yummy! And we need the calories to keep warm this cold weather. And it is due to get even colder next week.

Nana - so sorry to hear you're under the weather, I hope you can get plenty of rest before DD and GCs arrive. Make things as easy for yourself as you can. xx

Clover - welcome home. Hopefully it won't be too long until you see the family again. The unpacking etc can wait - enjoy a good day in the garden while you can.

Qwerty - I'm glad you enjoyed your day out, even if the fish and chips weren't up to scratch.

Enfys - it sounds as though P is definitely feeling better, and I'm glad you're getting out a bit as well.

I hope everyone has a deep and peaceful 8-hour sleep tonight. But I think some ladies need a bit more to make up for last night! Sleep tight everyone.

Oma, I hope that B enjoyed his cheese savoury sarnie & buns. Any news yet when the scan is? Enfys I'm so pleased that P is making progress.

Doesn't feel too cold and no wind or frost.

It was nice to see Aggie pop in yesterday.

Good moning Nan2 and everyone else.

I had a lot better night than the one before. I woke up far too early though. Damned cold is preventing me from breathing through my nose, which makes my mouth dry and throat sore!

Library group meeting for me at 9.30 but nothing planned apart from that. We had both kept the afternoon free to take mum to the dentist, which is now canceled.

I hope everyone is doing well, and Mr Oma gets home soon.

Good moaning. Bright but frosty here. Glad to hear your cold is improving Gem. Nanto2 I see you are out for an early bike ride.😆
Oma, I hope this is a good news day.
Nothing much planned. I may just have to clean the oven. 😬....or I may go to DD1s yard and collect horse poo from a secret stash that is like black gold and cuts like butter when I put my spade in. The very thought is filling me with excitement.
Enjoy your day, what ever you do folks.

Oma, Aggie posted a good morning here in Chatbox yesterday I think. Nice to hear from her. She has been having broadband problems.
Exciting indeed Grauntie LOL. I could do something like that today, as I can't smell anything!

Good morning ladies. Nanto - love the graphic, bit energetic for me first thing in the morning, but I'll wave as you cycle past!!

Oma - everything crossed for the scan results.

Gem - glad to hear you slept better, but taking it easy after your meeting seems a good idea.

GM - ooooohhh, all that black gold!!!! I can just picture it. Horse owners round here bag it up and leave it outside their front gates for people to take - free to a good home style - but often it's too fresh and needs to rot down more. But we're lucky enough to have a friend with several horses and a heap that's absolutely perfect. There's also a big stable where they will load it on to a trailer for you for the allotment and even lend you a trailer. We're well blessed!!

It's calm and sunny here today, so haven't decided whether to work on the garden or catch up with the much neglected housework. Let me think ...... hoovering or gardening!!!!

Bright and sunny here but cold at the moment. I am going to do some tidying up in the garden later, need to get moving. I’ve done far too much sitting around recently. P has said he fancies doing a bit of pottering too, so that’s a good sign but I’ll have to watch he doesn’t go mad!

i remember when I was a child, the coal man and the rag and bone man used to come round with a horse and cart and if the horse left a little present my grandad would rush out with a bucket and keep it for his roses.

Its so lovely to see the sunshine this morning, makes everything seem so much better. Have a good day everyone.
