It is freezing outside and at 6.50am (now) I am ready to go and meet the cold dark world. I don’t know how long it will take for the car to defrost, not long I am Hoping. Also hoping that I can get a car parking space at the tube station. It is quite a small and Park for such a busy station. Wish me luck!If you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together

A quick good morning from me. The road outside out house doesn't look too bad, but I'm glad I arranged to go out a bit later. I'm still sneezing for England, but but feel ok otherwise.
Zizi - I do hope you got a parking spot ok. I'm sure you will be glad when today if over - try and stay warm.
Oma - sometimes it's the little side roads that keep us housebanound in this weather, but I hope you can keep your appointment this afternoon.
Qwerty - have a good day with your little ones.
Nanto - thanks. I will be careful. Thank goodness we're not in Shropshire.
Plant - treat yourself to a nice relaxing day in the warmth.

Brrrr, Good morning all.
Zizi what a horrible day yesterday, goodness knows how longer you would have had to have waited if you hadn’t spoken to a nurse.
Dasiy it’s much better driving in day light especially with the horrible conditions outside at the moment.
Gem enjoy the play .
Qwerty you certainly pack a lot into one day
It’s really cold outside again today with no sign of a thaw .
I ran out of Christmas wrapping paper yesterday so I wasn’t able to wrap all the presents. We both have the dentist on Thursday so I will pick up some more paper when we are in town.
Keep warm arm ladies and take care out thereBring me sunshine in your smile.

Good morning all, from a cold and frosty south coast.
i don’t think we’re doing much today, no need to go out so we will find things to do indoors. DH can do his wii exercises and I have the usual jobs to get done. Need to make some soup and a cake so at least I’ll be warm in the kitchen.
Had a nice morning yesterday with my art group. We had our Christmas party so not much art done but lots of chat and nibble, cake etc eaten.
We are all all ready for Christmas here, just need to go food shopping with DD. She is taking charge this year so I don’t have to do anything! Have a good day everyone and keep warm and safe on the roads."Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." - Dr Seuss

No snow shifted as it was freezing overnight. The sun is shining and the virgin snow in the garden is glistening in the sunlight, very pretty but please go away. The birds are appreciating the food I put out before the snow came. I wish I had a sewing project on the go, I suppose I could clean out the cutlery drawers.
Sorry to hear your bad news Oma. Take care getting the car out.
Zizi I hope your day goes well, I would hate to be catching tubes in this weather. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

I'm just a bit too late for good morning!
It was an early start for me. Out defrosting the car to set off for the drive to DD1's house, to see GS1's
nativity play. Grandpa was already there, and the 3 of us set off for the short walk to school. As it was icy I held Grandpas arm. Having been married to him for well over 30 years, it still feels very natural!
GS was a little star in his role as shepherd. In fact he had to play both shepherds, as several of the cast are down with chickenpox, shepherd 2 being one of them. They all did so well, considering there were cast members missing. GS said his lines (and those of the other shepherd) with confidence, sang the songs enthusiastically grinned at us, and thoroughly enjoyed himself
I am staying at their house, as I have be be back again at 3, to pick GS up from school. Although I have things to be getting on with at home, I don't fancy the drive more times than I need to. It was that scary combination of icy roads and blinding sunshine on my drive here! DD and I had a cuppa here after the play, then she had to drive to York then catch train to London for meetings. She won't be home until about midnight tonight
Oma I am so sorry. The only positive thing, is, as you say, it was quick xx
I hope you all keep warm, and those who have to go out get back safely!“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown
