Nanto - I'm so glad you were only delivering cards in your street. I had pictures of you travelling far and wide with a torch and having to search for people's letter boxes.

Plant - how lovely to get out and about again. Hopefully the slush has gone now.

Enfys - it got colder as the day wore on today! I gave up on my shopping in the end - it was raining (as it always does when I've been to the hairdressers!) cold and windy. The town was deserted, despite being market day - even the that had packed up and gone home.

Ladies - it sounds as though you've had a typical GransRus day out - lots of chatting, eating, drinking, shopping and chatting up strange men in the street!!! The photos (on FB) are great and you all look as though you're having fun. Our ears weren't burning too much!!!

This is definitely the Day of the Dentist - my OH has an appointment for dentist and hygienist this morning. I don't like the look of that drill, Mimi - I'd better not let OH see your picture!!

It's warmer here today, thank goodness. My cold can't decide whether to come or go - it seemed a bit better yesterday, but has come back now. But, WOW, the sun's shining! It's just come out.

A day at home for me - wrapping presents etc.

Postman arrived very early this morning. They usually deliver about 1pm to 3 pm but they haven’t been able to collect or deliver post since Saturday so I suppose there is a huge back log of mail to get through and the amount is obviously doubled at this time of year. Along with Christmas cards and credit card bill (his not mine I am pleased to announce) there was a letter informing us that our dental appointment has been cancelled yet again. Another casualty of the snow I would think, a backlog of patients I suppose.
We are still off to town in a while , we might have to stop and have a spot of lunch, well someone has to keep these pubs / restaurants thriving at these hard times.

Sun shining here, still quite a lot of snow hanging around. I decided not to go to aqua, although the main roads are clear, our road is still a bit slippery. I am going to the cinema to see Wonder this afternoon with GD1, don't need to go outside, the cinema is in an enclosed shopping centre.

I hope your threatening cold doesn't arrive Daisy, you could do without that.

It's lovely to have a sit down. Since 8 this morning,i've only sat down 10 minutes,to eat my dinner.

Been to in laws, all their downstairs shines like a new pin.Left sister in law there, trimming up.

Sounds like everyone has dental appointments today.
