Plant - perhaps the doctor will suggest a free holiday in the Caribbean to improve your Vit D. Seriously, I hope it's nothing to be concerned about.
Oma - That made me laugh! Eva is pretty good, but when she does stink the room out she gets up and goes somewhere else! Even she can't stand it.
I've had a fairly productive morning after a slow start. I washed up the pile of things that couldn't go in the dishwasher and had accumulated over the last two days, cleaned the hob and the sink and put everything away. Whizzed round the kitchen floor with the GTech, washed all the dog towels, his vet bed and various other doggy things and put them out on the line (it's a good drying day!). Then I trimmed the edges of the lawn and cut it as well - it's still growing with all this mild weather. Then made sandwiches for lunch for OH and friend. Just off to polish my halo.

Ewwww Oma! One of our cats very occasionally passes wind, but cats are small so it's not bad and it hardly ever happens. I understand it can be a problem with dog though. Lots of scented candles need I imagine

Just back from Drs. It was as I thought, my Vitamin D is too low for me to have the injection for my bones on Friday, he is going to have a word with the specialist concerned. It should be 80, mine is 50 and when I went to have the first one, it was 20 so had to go on a high dose of vit.D. He has prescribed the high dose again and appt. changed to the following Friday. The main reason my VitD is low is that I have a lack of pigmentation on my skin so I do not absorb what little sun we have as I have to keep in the shade. It is always a pleasure to see my doctor, he is such a lovely friendly man. I will suggest he prescribes a sun drenched holiday for me on the NHS, but I would still have to sit in the shade.Last edited by Plantaholic; 22-11-2017, 04:51 PM.What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Great idea Plant, your lovely Dr should prescribe a sun holiday - and granny friends along to keep you company
Lunch was good, a nice way to spend miserable wet Wednesday afternoon!
DD and the children arrived, and have now left! Our friends will be here around 7 for coffee/tea/wine or whatever, and a good catch up.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Late check in for me today though I did have a quick peek earlier.
Daisy you certainly got a second wind after your slow start.I too did some kitchen cleaning. As predicted my oven “died”again so an engineer is coming tomorrow..As the cooker isn’t built in I pulled it out to clean behind and had a quick wipe round the inside
Plant I’m glad you can get sorted with medication.
Oma I love that you febeezed poor dog’ s tail end
The weather here is awful,so dark and wet. I had to go out as I had a hair appointment but now settled in for the evening.

A much better day here today. DH walked to the post box just up the road and also went upstairs. He’s also taken back his job of filling the dishwasher so things are slowly getting back to normal. He just wants to get the op over with now and we had a letter today from the consultant saying, if all is agreed with the cardiologist, it will be beginning of a January. At least we can enjoy Christmas.
I am out for coffee with a friend in the morning, a welcome break.
Plant, glad that you problem can be sorted out. Oma, such a shame about your neighbour, I feel so sorry for her daughter. But you made me laugh about the doggy wind...Dexter does the same and then looks at us as if it’s our fault, phew!!!"Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." - Dr Seuss
