Gem - how lovely to have some time with GD - enjoy yourselves.

Plant - I hope you enjoyed your Aqua class.

Enfys (you posted while I was typing) - it's such a contrast with yesterday, isn't it. I don't feel very inspired to get out and do any gardening when it's so dull and damp, although it's not cold.

I think it's time I went for me shower and got my 'me' day started - otherwise it will be over before I've realised!

Good morning ladies. Its drizzly and dull here this morning but in an effort to waken myself up I have done some yoga this morning and so far that hasn't helped !

Going to cook a sausage for lunch but I wish I had thought of it earlier and made it in the slow cooker like Nan2 .

We have got DS coming to stay for the weekend as its his birthday so I have added a few extra treats on to my online grocery shopping, its amazing how a few extra items can add ££££s to the bill

Just read back my post...well times are hard you know, half a sausage each will be fine.
Should have put sausage casserole, I said the yoga hadn’t woken me up didn’t I 😆😉

Rain, rain and more rain here. My Little Pony movie was decided against in favour of a day in at Grandmas (I can't say I was sorry to miss it )
OH had no golf due to the rain , so the 3 of us had lunch in our favourite cafe .We then went to the charity shop and left with yet another Barbie for Grandmas collection!

Been to tip with grass cuttings and rotten apples ( still some decent ones left on trees and those for chutney/freezing in bucket!). Now defrosting freezer in garage. Frost had built up to the extent that the door was becoming difficult to close!! Drizzly now, glad I got some outside work done yesterday.
Sausage casserole was a popular dish when family lived at home. Haven't made one for ages (OH not keen on sausages). Cottage pie tonight for us.

Mimi, i wondered about the 1 sausage as well.

Gem, no rain here yet,but it has turned very cold.
You ought to use your slow cooker Gem. Our dinner was lovely today, hubby asked for seconds.
I filled the slow cooker, and there is enough left to freeze for 3 meals.

Don't know if you ladies know or not,but you can get liners for slow cookers,i never use mine without a liner.
Sometimes, when the cooker has been on for quite a few hours, food can stick to the ceramic pot.
Using a liner makes washing it a very easy task.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Never knew about liners for slow cookers, I will have to have a look for some before I make my one sausage casserole again 😆

Mimi, even my GD was amused when I told her about the one sausage in the slow cooker
She then asked who the people were I was talking to. I said a group of friends who are Grandmas, and instead of meeting up in a club or cafe, we meet online

I was a poorly person yesterday with a really horrendous nosebleed. From 10am. Was in A&E for hours last night until early in the morning. Lovely husband was with me despite having been up since 3.30am and working since 4.30am. I did tell him to go home and I would get a cab but he wouldn’t, I suppose I wouldn’t have left him either. We got home early hours of the morning and husband had a few hours sleep before going off to work again. I worked although the decorators were here and it got to 2pm and I was feeling very poorly and tired so I told them I was going to have a lie down. I woke up at 4pm and they had finished and cleaned up after themselves.

I did manage to get to the supermarket but didn’t feel well at all, should have listened to my body and gone with what was in the cupboard/fridge.

Hopefully there will will be no repeat for performances of the nosebleed which was absolutely awful and I got very distressed and had a small panic attack. I emailed my line manager and told her and she said she knew I wouldn’t take time off but if I don’t then to take it easy and stop if I feel I need to. I do hve some rather lovel6ruises from the blood tests and the cannula for the drip (I was dehydrated apparently but then I didn’t have anything to drink yesterday at all because every time I moved the “tap” came on!). I have made sure to drink plenty of water today but I have been sick a couple of times, a lot of dark yucky blood which they said would happen because of the bleed. Sorry squeamish people........ I feel much better now, I think the sleep was very badly needed.

I read about this on FB earlier, Zizi, it sounds awful. I really feel for you. Severe nosebleeds are one of my great fears. Years ago my mums friend had one like you describe and ended up at A&E. She never had any recurrence.
Do take care of yourself xxxx

Zizi hopefully with a good nights sleep tonight you will feel a lot better tomorrow. You poor body must have gone into shock at the amount of blood you lost . Get well soon .

I have the feeling I am not going to live this ‘ one sausage casserole ‘ down am I 😆
Gem it’s a lovely description of us lot, a group of friends who meet online. Perfect. x
