What a lovely, cheerful graphic, Nanto - I don't know how you find them all. It's nice to have a day off from routine cooking!

Mimi - I hope you can take it easy today, you'll be shattered after another sleepless night. I very rarely do a roast for Sunday lunch, and even less so in the summer. But, of course today it's not a problem as we're having a barbecue at DS1's. Both he and DIL1 are incredibly well-organised, but when we do one I seem to be running round in tiny circles while OH keeps sending messages into the kitchen for whatever he needs right at that moment!!

Gem - thanks for the reassurance about your Auntie's experience. We don't know how often OH will need injections yet, but he's very nervous this time, so it's really positive to hear how well she copes. Yes, my BP is still well under 140/80 which is what the nurse said is what they'd want to see. Sigh of relief!! That sounds like a very civilised journey to the airport! Leeds-Bradford? I hate having to go to Gatwick, whichever way you go, it's a terrible journey. Heathrow's a bit easier, but if possible we fly from Bournemouth or Southampton. Have a great holiday - I'm sure you're ready for it. x

Qwerty - I hope you're back online today, although I won't be able to say 'hello' until tonight as we're out all day. x

Good morning, very sunny and warm here. Haven’t been awake long after a really good nights sleep. It’s DDs birthday today so we’ll see her later on for a coffee. We’re not going out for a meal or anything as she and GS are football fanatics and there’s a match on...apparently. Going to have a restful day today, might potter in the garden if it’s not too hot. Yesterday was roasting, found it much cooler to,stay indoors.

I think Qwerty is hoping to be back online today, we texted last night and she seemed hopeful 🤞

Sunshine again, I am off later to the cinema with GD1 to see the Oscar Wilde film, not sure GD will enjoy it. We need to get back smartly as GS1 and 2 are back from Bristol (another stag do) and GS2 needs a lift to get back to London.
GD1 cooked us all a lovely butternut squash curry last evening, it was delicious. Her friend who is staying the night on her way to London, crashed her car within half a mile from here, not injured but she said car was a write off, she had to call the police as she was blocking the road, hope she is feeling okay today. I am roasting a chicken later for GD and me, long time since I cooked a roast.

Been out and swept the drive and path , again next door cut his grass yesterday and he has to bring the lawn mower down my path to get to it and left all the grass cuttings that dropped out for me to clean ,
Could be worse he could do nothing at all I suppose at least hes keeping his front garden neat ,

Unsure what doing today if anything , I have a little ironing but that will take all of 20 minutes to do

Afternoon all very hot here 😰 B walked dog today and I got cracking sweeping and washing the patio before it got to hot. Made chicken and leek pie for dinner, so that's done and ready. New TV arriving between now and 4 pm. Had funny vision for the last 30 minutes, could be the heat I suppose. Take it easy everyone. Any news on Mr Enyfs ? Gem enjoy Majorca, should think it's the same temperature here.😧

Its a roaster hear too , I lay on the bed for half hour then did some ironing in the front bedroom as its cooler in there the sun is at the back ,
Came down and B watching match they winning 5-0 so far so im told ,
We had lunch outside earlier but its too hot for me even under the shade at the minute

Apart from a slight flight delay all went very smoothly and we are here at our hotel.
This is our 3rd visit here, the last was 5 years aho. A little bit of luxury with lovely views! We had our complimentary drink on arrival then came to our room and unpacked. I think we will get ready to go for dinner soon.
