Gem - OH's first treatment is on Monday. I think we'll both be glad when that first one is over! It always amazes me how much cat food our neighbours leave when they go away, even for a week-end. I suppose it's cheaper to buy it in bulk?

I hope your mum enjoys coming over for her tea.

I did my BP when I got up this morning, and it was very close to normal! But it has made me think I need to get more exercise!

Gem, holiday getting close, Hope your mum enjoys her outing.
Dd going for an interview at a local private school, she has given her notice in at her present job, she has been supporting 2 girls, one is blind and not sure what the problem is with the other girl, they are both leaving this year and she thought it was time for her too. A visiting support worker told her about this job, it is supporting a girl who is going blind and they want someone who understands Braille or is prepared to learn. Her plan was to get a job not tied to school holidays now her children are not at school. DD has loved this job, very rewarding, lovely school and staff.

Gem - glad your mum enjoyed her tea and chat - I'm sure it does her good to get out a bit.

Plant - how did your DD get on?

I had a lovely lunch out with my group of friends from College. We enjoyed a good laugh, a chat and put the world to rights. Then I went into town to try and find some small presents for DS1 to open on Sunday. I ended up with a couple of paperbacks - he's very hard to buy for, and we're sharing his main present with his in-laws. I got back home just before 5 o'clock - at the same time as OH! He'd been down to the allotment to put some maincrop potatoes in, mend a hole in the shed down there and start to paint it. He left before I went out, and I assumed he'd be out for 2-3 hours, not over 5! Poor Eva was crossing her legs - he'd forgotten about her!!! I should have checked, but he never puts his phone on so it's difficult!!! She's definitely sulking!

Asked DD how she got on, she said fine, her children say she is the worlds worst communicater. DD and SIL are off to Anglesey tomorrow with SIL's brother and wife, so it will be just me 2 GD's and the kitten who continues to climb trees.

                      Hi Nan2 and everyone else.

                      Poor Eva, Daisy!

GS2 today then GD from school. GS will have to come with me to school as OH is playing in a competition this afternoon. I will attempt to give him early lunch and early afternoon nap! DD3 is calling us on video at around 1.

                      Have a good day everyone.

I’m going to a new Pilates class for older people today! Bit nervous as I hate going to new things where you don’t know anybody....I’m sure it will be fine. Sunny here, not sure what the rest of the day might bring. Meal out tonight with friends.

Avo, I am exactly the same regarding new things, and no knowing anyone, but have always found once you 'bite the bullet' and do it you are glad you did!
I hope it all goes well.

Avo, you will be fine, I am sure they will welcome you to their class. Enjoy.

Gemini, It will be lovely for you to see your DD on the video link.

Dishwasher arrived, the delivery men were early in fact but had phoned me when they were near. All plugged in and I have done two loads of washing. Very different to my old one, you programme time, temp etc. Not sure how long to set the washing time, it does 4 hours if I don't change it. How long would you set a lightly soiled wash for?

Not 4 hours Plant!! That is a very long time.
Our main programmes are 2 hours, which I think is too long . There are a couple of shorter ones of 1 hours, and a 30 mins for lightly soiled, and those 2 are the ones we use most of the time.

Today is the day the golfers return. I think I have enjoyed myself as much as OH has enjoyed his self. 😁 I have caught up with many chores, been out with friends and sewed too. I even attacked the bamboo which I have been putting off for weeks. It looks a bit like a bad haircut and I do feel sorry for it but at least we can get past it now without being tickled.
Today is also GD’s 11th birthday so we are going for cake etc. after school.
                                Enjoy Friday ladies.
                                Same here regarding washing times.
