Been to the dentist this morning, GS3 took me, new lady dentist, sister of y previous dentist and another brother in the practice as well, she did a small filling whilst I was there so I don't have to go back. GS came back and exhausted the kitten so he is now asleep.

Miserable weather, hope the weather improves for Qwerty tomorrow.

I texted Qwerty and it sounds as though they have been very busy and having a nice time, but the weather not so good.

I have coloured my hair, and caught up with The Archers. I was about to bake the cake when I realised I don't have enough Stork, so off I go to the shop, then to start baking!

Oma - B is very clever - the planters look fantastic. Imagine how much they'd cost in a trendy garden centre. I love all the colours of the flowers, too - brightens up the dreariest day.

Avo - I'm so glad you timed your holidays to be here when Luca arrived - or did he time his arrival so he could see his Grandma and Papa! You've certainly got an early start on Friday - I hope you get everything done. I feel very guilty I haven't thoroughly cleaned out the van after our trip a week ago, but our visitors arrived not long after we got home. I like to leave it so it's ready for the next trip. I'll try and do it this week-end - before I forget!!!

Nan - hope your day is going well. I tend to run the sucky up thingy round after the grandchildren have been, especially since both sets tend to arrive with their dogs as well!

Plant - it's always a relief when you come out of the dentists without too much work being needed. Well done to GS for exhausting the kitten!

Poor Qwerty with the weather, although if it's not actually raining being cloudy isn't too bad in London - I always think it can get quite oppressively hot when the sun's shining. The same in any big city with all the dust, fumes and noise.

Torrential rain all morning here in Devon, girls a bit stir crazy. My sister is holidaying in Devon so she paid a visit to DD. Nothing else to report ladies, just keeping on keeping on. Have you ever tried walking on egg shells. 😟😟

When I go to the hairdressers I always think about having something drastic done, but today I just had a trim. My hairdresser has just sold her salon, and is renting a chair from the new owner. But they are currently in the new owner's other salon, while he's refitting, so I dithered about driving or walking there, and in the end decided on walking - I needed the exercise! It was only a 10 minute walk from DS2's shop where I park, and it was nice just to wander along window shopping for once. I hardly ever do that. I was lucky it didn't rain though!

I did a bit of shopping on the way back and called in to dS's shop to have a cuddle with Cooper. He'd just had his dinner - raw tripe - and wanted to give me lots of sloppy kisses! For once he didn't succeed!!!

Gem, we did visit friends,got home about ½ hour ago.

Cake done and cooling. I had to make 2 as we borrowed an 8 inch square cake tin, to match the cake topper, so I had to bake one, wash the tin then put the second batch of mixture in. I will sandwich it with buttercream and jam tomorrow and cover it with ready to roll icing. DD2 will take it on Friday and apply the cake topper. It is so funny, I think they will love it. I will post a picture

It was cold yesterday,we had the heating on.

Morning off to surgery for 2nd blood test of the week. Getting a taxi as poor DD ended up with blisters the other day from walking. Very grey and overcast here today, threat of rain in the air I'm sure. Also got to sort her meds which they managed to mix up, supposed to be blister packed instead came in assorted bottles which are no good with her memory. Onwards and upwards, have a good day all.

Libra, the taxi is a good idea. I hope all goes well with the medications.

An early start for us, with our hairdresser here at 8.15. Shopping for my mum and going to see my sister on the cards later. I think mum will come with me. I hope so, she needs to get out more.
This evening OH and I are going to see Summer Holiday, which we are looking forward to. She has been playing a lot of golf lately and will be away for 6 days from Sunday, so it will be good to spend some time together!

Not much good putting tablets in bottles for someone with memory problems Libra. I am sure your sil is very grateful you are there to deal with these problems.

Sun trying to shine here. I have hairdresser coming this morning. GS2 and girl friend back from IOW and DD and SIL due back this evening from Madrid. Toilet flush broke in en-suite this morning, need to call a plumber. I have the other one but it is not good for night visits. Had some plants delivered from Jersey plants, will try and get those in today.
