Our eldest had so many trips to A&E when he was younger that we used to rotate hospitals, dry embarrassing when the staff remember you and your children from last time you were there! He is still a dare devil but fortunately he has stopped actually breaking bones although he is a bit of a hypochondriac.

Glad and to hear J is OK but it is not right that there is a two hour wait for an ambulance regardless of whether he could move his legs.

Off to town to a meeting very shortly, not really looking forward to it as I have heard that the job has been out on hold so it is likely to be a talking shop. One hour 20 minutes each way to have a chat with people who, generally speaking, don’t give a monkeys about the community subject except to show the authorities they are “doing the right thing”. Going to get the bus as it is unlikely I will get a car parking space at the tube station and anyway it is £14 a day from now on. I know HOW MUCH?????? It is very frosty here as well so it is a coat and glove jobbie I think.

Hope your bruising isnt too bad Daisy. See you all later.....

Good morning everyone. I hoe that nice shiny graphic of Nanto's will be matched by a nice sunny day. So far so good here - cold but the sun is shining.

My cheek isn't as badly bruised as I'd expected, thank goodness, but it's very sore! Mimi - if it had been a real horse head butting me it would have been banished to its stable!

Oma - good luck with the shopping - I hope MIL finds what she's looking for. Poor Josh, and dreadful that he should have to wait so long for an ambulance. You would have thought landing on his neck would merit some priority. I hope it's not too painful. It's not long since he broke his hand, is it. I should think he'll be getting his own chair in the A&E waiting room. Mimi - hopefully your eldest GS has learned to avoid the scary tackles!

Mimi - how lovely putting money in to your bank account! Interesting article about new mums in China. I think we've gone too far the other way. My MIL was horrified that I was "only" in hospital for 10 days with my first - she had 2 weeks with all hers, and then another couple of weeks at home where she basically just looked after the new baby, and she said she'd always sit down at 2 pm every day to rest, feed the baby and listen to Women's Hour, and that was 'her' time with the baby. "Me" time is nothing new, it seems. Now it seems new mums are expected to carry on as normal immediately they're home with the baby, which may only be a few hours after giving birth. No wonder they end up exhausted and stressed.

Zizi - our DS1 was a regular visitor to A&E as well, but we kept moving house, so didn't get too well known at any one hospital! I hope your meeting isn't as futile as it sounds. £14 a day to park! That's crazy.

A potter round the house for me this morning - avoiding all horses - and then picking GD2 up from playgroup jut after lunch.

I hope Enfys' OH has had a good night - and hoping for good news about his treatment today. xx

      Have a good day, ladies.

          Good morning.
I think I need more time to catch up with Chatbox! I will do so later

The sun is shining here. Today is the day I take my auntie out for lunch. OH can't join us this time, due to golf. It's always lovely to see her, so I'm looking forward to it.
We also need some shopping, and I will drop in to see mum later.
At some point I will catch up here, and write in my journal.

          Have a lovely Monday everyone

Hope Josh isn't too sore today Oma, I was always in A&E with son when he was playing rugby. Hope you have success finding boots for your fussy MIL Oma.

Daisy well what do you expect when you start washing paintwork, not sure why paintwork needs washing.

Sounds like a bit of a wasted journey and your time Zizi

I hope Enfys has some news today, I am sure she is pleased she has her son home for support.

I wasn't allowed to do anything other than feed DS when I had him at home. district nurse came every day, except weekends, to bathe him.

Thinking about GD starting her new job, she had to be there at nine, Unfortunately she cut her finger yesterday so I suppose she will be wearing a blue plaster.

Morning ladies Thanks for all your news. Two injuries ! I hope both patients are recovering well. More seriously I’m sure we’re all thinking about Enfys today and willing positive news.
I’m like a donkey’s tail this morning- all behind. I meant to get an early start on some cooking but so far checking up on our bank account after a strange e-mail and then registering my new slow cooker. a cup of coffee and a quick look on GRUS and it’s nearly 11!
It’s a lovely bright morning and I’m tempted to potter in the garden but that’ll have to wait or it’ll be bread and cheese for tea tonight,(perhaps not a bad idea)
Hope it’s a good day for everyone.

Beautiful sunny, crisp morning here! Washing out, walk done, about to sort out New Year's food order for M&S, Art this afternoon, Yoga this evening, OH in charge of evening meal, so all in all a rather pleasant day!
Had lovely lunch at a favourite pub yesterday! Spoke to DS via Skype last night and caught up with all his news. His new flat looks very nice( what we saw of it) and he managed to construct all his IKEA furniture...though he said it took him a looooooong time!
Hope all those injured people are feeling better today and that Enfys has positive news.
Thank you all for your kind words about my Little Donkey. To be honest, I'm quite happy to use them for myself and I honestly couldn't be bothered with all the hassle of printing and posting etc.
Have a good day whatever you're up to!

                  Enfys, thinking of you today.

We all sound like busy bees today.

Both of ours were born at home. i can remember when the eldest was born, midwife said you can get out of bed to use the bathroom.
Only becuse the bedroom was next to the bathroom. She did say,if you were in hospital, you wouldn't be allowed to put a foot out of bed for 10 days.
3 years later when #2 was born, things were a bit different.
Now of course, some go home from hospital the same day as giving birth.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

We went to the bank this morning and then we went to the shoe repair shop to get new heels and soles put on my winter boots . OH is having new heels and soles on his shoes, the cost of it has made a bit of a dent in the money I deposited in the bank earlier I can tell you, still cheaper than buying new boots and shoes and on the plus side I don’t have to break them in, I hate wearing new shoes, they cut my feet to bits.

We then strolled around town looking at Christmas ideas and in my head I have done it all, if only ! I did buy some wrapping paper and a new top from Debenhams for myself though. Well I needed a new top for Christmas , can’t wear what I wore last year can I now ?
We then went and had some lunch before coming home. A very successful day even if I say so myself

DH will be home tomorrow. He had his angiogram and they inserted a stent, it all went well. We have just got back from visiting and will be going over to DDs for tea. It has been lovely having
DS here and he goes back on Wednesday morning, it is GS’ birthday on Friday so he wants to be home for that. DD and DS have been so supportive, bless them, they are lovely young people,

DH’s bowel op has been postponed and we will get a new date once the cardiologist give the OK. He has been so well looked after and looked really well this afternoon.

Thank you for all your good wishes and kind thoughts, much appreciated x

Right I will try to catch up before I do my printing and make tea

Enfys, I'm sure it is very special to have your son there. I am so glad to hear about your OH's successful stent procedure. They will reschedule his operation for the right time, and it is reassuring that he is being so well looked after. He will be glad be home tomorrow I'm sure.

Oma, I have just read about poor GS1, and your migraine I'm glad everything is OK now.

And poor Daisy!! I hope your cheek isn't too sore. What did the GDs say about it?!

Qwerty ((HUGS)). I know that being with a depressed person has an effect on you. We are here to cheer you up xx

Mimi, some of my Christmas shopping is done in my head, but not actually done, and I fool myself that I have done it!

Clover, I have far too many mornings when I look at the clock and suddenly it's 11am!!

Plant, I hope your GD's first day went well.

I think most mums leave hospital too soon these days Nan2!

When do you go on holiday Zizi?

Love to anyone I havent' mentioned
