Good afternoon ladies. Everyone seems to be very busy, but <she says, whispering> in December you will all be sitting round bored silly with nothing to do!

I'm still shattered after yesterday. It's always a long day, but the dog training class before ours over-ran by nearly half an hour, so we didn't finish until 10.30, plus 20 minutes or so to drive home. After getting up at 6.15 I really couldn't wait to get into my bed. We then overslept this morning. I woke up at 9.10 and had to shake OH awake as his wood-turning buddies were due to arrive at 9.30! I can't say I've done anything useful so far today - apart from creating a poll on here asking for you to vote for DS2's puppy's name! I have my priorities right. I'm ignoring the overflowing laundry basket - it's too wet to dry outdoors anyway, and going to cook something easy for dinner tonight. If it doesn't get any warmer I'll be lighting the woodburner - it feels very damp and chilly.
Gem - what joy - a new loo seat.
We have mincemeat OH made last year, so no doubt i'll have to make some eventually. But not yet!!!!! Thank goodness your OH is ok now.
Oma - I hope your DD managed to get her point across about the letter - no doubt it's some kind of computer-generated standard letter, but it's being used very inappropriately. Your poor OH, being dragged off to Ikea.
Nana - so pleased you have been discharged from the Eye hospital. It sounds a good decision not to risk any more treatment for what might be little or no improvement in your sight.
Clover - it sounds as though you replaced that old tank just in time. At least you can now sleep easy without worrying you might get a cold, unplanned shower. I hope the flu jab went ok for both of you.
Plant and Zizi - it's lovely to have new decorations and some new furniture. Enjoy!
Nanto - what a lovely cheerful graphic.
